By @iwanttobewhatieatLook, i was starving and one of the besties was like, we should have fish from a truck. I'm not going to mince words here, it was epic. That fish was so fresh I'm pretty sure the matrix was out of the back of the truck and they were bringing that cod straight from the waters of Alaska to the grill. The fritters are life changing. The Panko breading on the fish was seasoned to perfection. They have a gluten free option so no excuses. This food truck is handing out lessons on how to do it right, how to do it the best. Clam Chowder is drool worthy. Where ever @captainscodcompany is going you should be there, unless you do not like to be happy. Service is amazing. I dare you to find #foodtherapy

Food, service is usually excellent been there at least a dozen times but the fish is priced like I'd be sitting in Arnie's or Anthony's. When it's a food truck and you're out freezing to get fish why pay when you can enjoy the view of the water in a great setting?

If you like fish and chips, and you see Captain's Cod food truck. Do yourself a favor, pull on your reins, and stop for food. I just had some, and the breaded fish fingers were some of the juiciest fish I had in a very long time. Combine that with chunky chips (fries), tartar sauce, and sriracha aioli, and you have a meal fit for... a fish lover. The staff are friendly and the service accurate. I was told 8 minutes, and as I returned 8 minutes later, my food was just ready.

This is a review for their food truck that visits locally near our summer home base, in Concrete, WA. We've visited a couple times and have enjoyed the food. They park in the parking lot of another restaurant during off hours and that business has tables and chairs so we stay and eat outside.Their fish and chips are very tasty, batter fried cod, which is the highlight of the menu. The fish is always prepared very well with a decent amount of crispy crust along with nice flakey, moist, tender cod. I like the fries too. Their house made tarter sauce is very good. I've also eaten their clam chowder, New England style which is thick and creamy, loaded with nice chunks of potatoes and clams. They serve some sort of "fish bites" which ar like ground up cod, formed into little bite sized pieces, then breaded and fried. They were just ok. I tried them once but not on our next visit. Maybe they're more for a kid and not my "more adult palate" lol. I've also tried the hush puppies niche are ..... while not stellar, are decent and since hush puppies aren't served up north in most places, I appreciated them and would order again. The prices are a little steep, but considering that the product they serve is pretty much a "multi-family operation" rather than a mega- industry type business, mim willing to pay a little more. That may mean we eat out a little less, but I'm pretty sure we're getting a superior product/meal. We will probably eat there when they visit the tiny little town of Concrete next summer, at least a couple times.

What a great addition to the mobile food industry to have a traveling fish and chips option that is consistently good. The service is friendly. Everything is super fresh. It's a totally reasonable value for what you get. From what I understand they're respectful at the places they go. Their truck is fully self-contained so they don't need to plug in. If you're having a party or community gathering, totally consider calling them for a booking.

One of my favorite food trucks! They travel all over the state but have been in Everett at the Beverly Food Truck Park a few times. We finally had a chance to stop by for dinner a little while back and it was AMAZING!I got the Gourmet Cod Sandwich Basket and my husband got the 3 Piece Fish & Chips Basket. He really enjoyed his food, the tartar sauce was delicious! My sandwich was huge! It had not one, but TWO huge pieces of fish and was probably the best fish sandwich I've had in years. The fries were also phenomenal and I'm kind of picky about fries. My only gripe was mine didn't come with tartar, I'll be sure to get that next time! We got food with family and ordered nearly one of everything. The Fritters were delicious, my brother really enjoyed his Clam Chowder, someone got the Codking Sandwich that came with candied jalapeños and loved that as well. Not a single person went home hungry or disappointed in their meal. The service was great, everyone was friendly, and we got our food fairly quickly after ordering! I hope they come back to Everett soon, I've been craving another sandwich!

This is a food truck for seafood caught and processed by an Edmonds-based seafood company with a fleet of four fishing and factory process at sea vessels. The truck is usually based in the Bellingham area, but it makes the rounds around various suburbs and small towns of western Washington. I caught it recently near me and decided to try it.It's okay. That's about the best I can say. The fish is caught, processed (which could include breading, etc.), and packed at sea. Ivar's uses some of this fish, though it uses its own breading. The code fillets I had were tiny and just okay. The size is between a fish stick and an actual full filet piece. Nothing unpleasant, but the breading isn't a crispy pub or fish and chips style breading. It's more leaning towards a crispy bread crumbs style, which I do not like. I also tried the cod fritters and found them overcooked, dry, and overly bready--kind of a wheat flour hush puppy with fish. Fries were okay, but nothing to write home about (and my basket was missing the promised fry sauce and only had tartar sauce). You can buy these same exact breaded filets (as well as frozen unbreaded filets) from the parent seafood company at many retail outlets (grocery stores, Costco, etc.)Overall, the food was like buying frozen fish sticks from a grocery store and having them fried by a fast food restaurant than does at least keep its oil fresh.I won't be returning. And that's sad because I was expecting much more from a food truck owned by a fishing fleet.

Disappointed. We spent more than we should have only to find what we believe to be a parasite in the cod strip. This is extremely concerning and stomach turning. We were unable to eat anything else we bought to worried about finding more parisites.

We have been wanting to try their food as we had heard good reviews and I was going to consider inviting them to a large event I put on. We were disappointed at the quality and quantity of food for the price. The fish sticks and fries overcooked. Chowder was good. Car parked next to us had 3 people, all disappointed as well. Maybe it was an off day but I can't justify the price.
