The food wasn't the best but it surely wasn't the worst. The Hubs and I came for nostalgic purposes and the food satisfied us and made us reminisce on the younger days of eating at Captain D.

On my way to Houston we stopped in for some seafood. Well, the food was horrible!! Ordered fish n shrimp. Food was not thoroughly cooked and was just plain awful. The restaurant was established in 1969 and looked its age. Someone please take a wrecking ball and put it out of its misery. Just plain horrible!!

Closing the dining room down an hour early and only taking To go orders is not good for business. They claimed they were understaffed, but this is the third time they have claimed this when we have come for dinner.

My review is based off my order via DoorDash. We ordered whitefish and shrimp platters Chesapeake style as well as wild salmon Chesapeake style. The sides we tried were breadsticks, rice, broccoli and green beans. It was a solid meal. Nothing was over cooked and there was decent seasoning throughout. This wasn't a gourmet meal but it was the perfect weeknight meal when you don't feel like cooking. I'm happy they offer a wide selection of grilled meals.

We just happened to be in the area and I had always wondered about this place. Went on Yelp and found a smattering of reviews and not very many photos so I wasn't sure if I wanted to try it.I still remember the days when there used to be Long John Silvers around and occasionally I'd get that craving for their fish combos with the hush puppies and crispy bits. You'd smother it in malt vinegar and mmm mmm good! So with that in mind we decided to be adventurous and I'm glad we did! It was almost like Long John Silvers and they have these $6 specials with two sides that are pretty filling and good! While we were there the place filled up so there are many locals that like this place obviously. The staff was pleasant and efficient and the dining area spacious and clean. It looks like this place has been around a long time but it's good to know there's a place like this close by in case you get that craving! If you know what I mean. Check it out!

This location should close down. The service, food, and STAFF were all HORRIBLE! A heavy set Hispanic lady, with facial piercings took our order.... her customer service was fine. The receipt read "GS: Genera"-I don't know if that's a typo or her name. Another Hispanic girl (lightweight, little girl) was upfront maybe expediting the food-she was probably the rudest person I'd met in my LIFE! My husband asked for ketchup packets because the dispenser in the lobby was empty.... she handed him a handful, since fell on the floor he asked that she not give him the packets that fell on the floor, she got an attitude. The food took FOREVER to come out; the fish and hushpuppies were hot, but the fries were cold. I asked how long would it take to get hot fries, this rude lil girl did bring the fries back up here and I'll get you hot fries. I said just let me know when they're ready and I'll bring them up here, so that i can eat my fish and hushpuppies while they're still hot. She said you can bring it no. I asked if I could talk to her right quick, she said, "whassup?". I asked if there's an issue because she's been nasty since coming to the front she replied, "I don't have an attitude, you want a manager? ". When the manager came upfront she was in the back yelling and cursing saying that she doesn't have an attitude. I don't think he was the manager, but he was a kind guy and said he'd talk to her. After reading some of the other comments, it doesn't seem like the feedback changes anything because some feedback is the same. That means nothing has changed! The restroom was nasty, the staff was nasty, and the kitchen was probably nasty. Y'all don't have to worry about me returning. I'll go to another location, but will NOT be returning.

Heavy set Hispanic with piercings took my order and I expressed I could not read the menu under family items and she refused to tell me the count when I got to the window I asked to add rolls to my order she walked off and said I'm not dealing with them. A Hispanic dude appeared at the window in a apron saying we had to go back around the line to order rolls and there was no one in the line. He seen me pull up yelp on my phone to leave a review and he made a comment about not caring if I left a review. Then a short Hispanic girl with red hair came to the window screaming , he tried to close the window on her and she continued pulling it open in a threatening manner and she called me a B*TCH.

The food is decent, but the customer service is terrible. They rush you through trying to tell them your order. Very impatient and the girl at the window is very rude and acts like she doesn't want to be there. I got every kind of sauce in my bag That there was without asking. I ended up with honey mustard, ketchup, cocktail, tartar, and ranch dressing. Such a waste. I only use tartar and vinegar. anyhow, my complaint is on customer service. Every time I come here I swear I'm not going back and I wait a long time and then it ends up being the same. I'm pretty much done with this place because food is too expensive these days for terrible service.

Captian D's #350501Order #0063 DRIVE THRU Lady that answered the speaker and window had the customer facing skills of a "gut shot grizzly bear". The young guy that came to the window when I honked was polite and friendly. Thus the 2 stars review.

Great customer service food is always fresh! The sweet tea is amazing Highly recommend
