Good sandwiches and the interior is pretty cool with all the stuff hanging from the ceiling. Very nostalgic.

Captain Bills is a north central Phoenix mainstay. I was in high school in the mid 80s, and in those days tables were topped with pennies. Today, the tables are all topped with photos from when I was there in high school. So fun! Decor is the same since then. Overstuffed, gaudy, and super fun! The staff are friendly and efficient. An 8 inch sandwich a sub and a drink for about less than $10? That's awesome!

Will not be returning again. Have been going here for years. But now, more than once, I've gotten sick after eating their sub. First time felt like a coincidence. Second time I was suspicious. And this third and final time confirmed it: they either do NOT properly handle their ingredients, or their employees do NOT wash their hands. I will not and cannot risk food poisoning for a sub sandwich. Sad to see this happen and never return--will never recommend it again, either.

This sandwich shop has great deals on quality subs. Their specials are a great way to diversify your order for a fraction of the price. If you like subs, you can't go wrong with any of their combinations, their pros. The decor really grabs your attention, it's very unique and specific, you'll feel that there's no other place like it. The service goes hand in hand with the vibe, the employees treat their customers like family and always strive to offer the warmest interactions.

This was the spot we went to in high school. aka the 90's.My go to was the 10" Famous Italian Sub. It slapped then. And it still slaps with their delicious vinegar and oil blend that drips out letting you know you got the realOld Fashion sub.

Best deal on a sandwich in the whole valley. My family loves this place. It's a cool little hole in the wall type of place that makes you feel like you time travelled back 20 years. Service spot on, all the girls are nice!

My wife Dragged me here because she grew up as most did an Arizona trash bag. My expectations were pretty positive due to the fact that it definitely looks like a hole in the wall. But once I got my sub and sat down. And had my sub. It was game over this place is awesome and I recommend it to everyone.

This place has a lotta character. It needs a little bit of an update. There are about 10 million pictures in here of some group of women that I don't know who they are. I'm sure maybe it has something to do with a family member. I have no idea, though. They're all over the place on the tables, the walls, the windows. I'm a little curious. Little creepy. It has a lot of knickknacks hanging up along the border. Like a very cramped TGI Fridays. Very cluttered and not a real fan. You have to ask for refills. They seem like it's a chore. The sandwiches are terrible. The bread is extremely dense. It looks like it doesn't have any yeast in the bread to make it rise, so it just falls apart as you eat it: no crunch, no light, airy bread. There's nothing really special about the lettuce, the meat, the anything. It's just a typical sandwich that you can probably make better from home and make a lot cheaper. I was not too fond of this place. It wasn't good. The staff made it seem like we were a problem, but they were nice about it. With 500 four-star reviews, I drove an hour to check out this place. It was a giant bust, in my opinion.

A delightful spot with great food and service without punching you in the wallet! Nice and clean, with a great atmosphere, and they are fast! Definitely check this place out!

Just went for the first time today after seeing some of the great reviews online! Truly a fantastic atmosphere very friendly staff as well. A great selection of sandwiches and the menu made it easy to navigate. Prices were very reasonable and the sandwich itself was great! Definitely will be back to try some more of Captain Bills Subs!
