Capitol Coffee House

I sit here early one morning and I must say a few things:1. I can be grumpy and a snob sometimes... and the character of this place got me in the heart. I arrived around 6:00 am on a Monday and as somebody who worked in food service, I always noticed the way employees clean and how careful and diligent they are with food prep. This place would put any place I managed to shame!!My visit began when I ordered a coffee and a tea and the owner seemed a bit perplexed, but he brought them over promptly. I sit here at the bar on my laptop and I am the only patron here and I have developed a fondness of how careful and diligent the gentlemen who run this establishment are! There is not a chair, hair, or slice of bread out of place.The bucket that they clean the tables and sinks with is steaming as I watch, everything is prepared in sight! (Sometimes when a place is not so clean, I do not wish to see how things are prepared but for this place, the customer can feel confident in the food safety and the owner's diligence and attention to detail!).This place isn't fancy in the way that Starbucks or even maybe Dunkin is... They have their fancy cups and stoppers in the drinks... and you won't get that here but you also won't get corner cutting! You WILL get character, warmth, and friendliness in the service, high-quality food prepared FRESH! Thank you! I wish there was a bonus star that I could assign ... but alas, I do not have one.I would note but the breakfast sandwich was hot and yummy!!

Hubs said my hot chocolate was a Swiss Miss packet. It was fine cuz it was undrinksbly hot which was good once it cooled down,Glad they were here cuz we needed a place to sit and get something to drink after walking upwards to find Beacon Hill.Pretty much a solid, stoic coffee shop. I witnessed you probably need to be a regular saying ciao to get a smile out of the gentleman behind the counter,It served its purpose for us then we were on our way to discover Acorn Street.

During my quick visit to Boston I stumbled across this coffee house. While I appreciate how quick the food came out and how cleanly they are, I felt as if they were short and a bit rude to everyone who came in besides the regulars. They barely said anything or even acknowledged my presence when I would have appreciated even a slight hello or something. Maybe it's because I work with a lot of customers but it's just the lack of friendliness that is offsetting.

Capitol Coffee House is a little corner spot directly across the street from the side of the State House. It has a great view of the street and the Capitol.We came there for a reasonably priced breakfast, and we were not disappointed! I had the Italian Omelette which came with homestyle potatoes and toast. It was one of the better breakfasts I had in Boston!It seems like there are a lot of regulars who stop in and chat, which was a great aspect in my opinion. Anyplace that has repeat customers is a good choice!I recommend the window seats as they have the best view of what's happening on Beacon Hill.

A great place to start the day at - a neighborhood spot with lots of tasty and hearty options, I was especially pleased with their bagel breakfast sandwiches. very big, chewy bagels, yum!

This was a great spot to grab breakfast after dropping off my luggage. I got their turkey egg sandwich with pepperjack cheese and a hot chocolate. They use paper plates and the place exudes efficiency and reliability as well as kindness. I sat at the counter facing the windows outside and enjoyed my sandwich and drink, it was just what I needed that morning.

Nice place for a quick coffee and sandwich. I tired their croissant with butter and it was pretty good. Enjoyed the coffee too. It's in a busy location but there is plenty of room. A variety of options too.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this adorable coffee house and were so glad we did! It's simple delicious and quick. The omelette was fresh and HOT and the home fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. Would definitely return

Rented a room at The Parker House for a 3 day buzz of downtown Boston. Needed a place for a simple breakfast before heading to the airport.It is a locals joint. Everyone on a first name basis with the staff. But the counter man was polite and enthusiastic. Kelley had a breakfast scramble with pancakes which she pronounced as "the fluffiest and best I have ever eaten".fresh blueberries too. I had an excellent omelette.Good strong coffee to keep us awake on the way to Logan. Recommended.

The staff were so rude not only to me but also short with other customers. The order was not correct and they argued about it. The food was average at best.
