this place was great , its a market that has fresh fish of all kind , and they will cook it for you , and to top it off they also sell soul food !

*Reviewing fresh unprepared selection only*This place was packed on a Friday afternoon. Good sign, right? Right. I've visited a few seafood markets in the area, and most were perfectly fine. The fish here was fresh and the most affordable. Considering how busy they were, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly we received our fish. It appears you can select your fish and have them prepare if you would like. Would recommend.

This food was nasty. We ordered salmon cakes which was oily, Mac & cheese bland, coleslaw. The other meal Fried Chicken Wings, with soggy fries which we ordered yams and coleslaw. The hush puppies were hard and cold. I stopped eating it.

One of the few fish markets where they fix a variety of seafood plates right in the very place they sell seafood. If you are looking to buy any seafood and or buy seafood that you want cooked. Than look no farther than this place right here. Great customer service and friendly staff. Just your friendly neighborhood fish market.

I went to Capital Sesfood Market on 9/13/23 and purchased a pound of whiting filet, which I paid $8.15 for. I have always purchased my fish from this market and never had a problem, but on this day, when I got the fish home and took it out of the wrapping paper, it was rancid, and falling apart. I tried to wash it with lemon, but it still had that rotten, rancid smell. I had to throw it out. I could have gotten really sick had I cooked and eaten this fish. It's going to be a long time before I go back, if I go back at all.

If there was any way not to give this restaurant a review at all, I will give them a zero coming from Durham and living here for years we relocated and we are now that we would travel for lunch to come and pay homage to this location however it was a total lunch disaster The food was greasy to the point to where you couldn't eat it the customer service was beyond horrible. They adjust their prices to what I'm assuming their customers look like because the sign on the building said $6.99 but when I went in there, she told me oh well prices are subject to change. We have a large menu And decided to charge me $9.99 for $6.99 lunch meal needless to say I asked them could they just change it to what I had requested not what they thought I wanted and I was bombarded with attitude, and and there was no way that I was going to feed my son And myself food from those people I think it's terrible for the owners as you come in there with one expectation and you leave out with something totally different I wouldn't recommend it to anybody the food is just mediocre. It's not what it used to be in the services is unbelievably horrible.

Just wasted my $ on a flounder & shrimp lunch special the fish looked a lil funny when I bit into it I knew why, tossed it right in the trash‼Cmon yall I don't know who the new cooks are or why old fish is being sold tighten up‼ The food use to be gewdt, what happened⁉

I go to this location almost every Friday. It's a lady in there who has thee worst attitude ! My order came out to be almost $50 and I knew something was wrong because I order the same thing every time I come in.Mistakes happen BUT when I ask her how much each item is to be sure that price have not changed, and I get eye rolls and attitude, in front of the owner! Come to find out she had rang me up twice for each thing. No apologies nothing. Just more attitude and eye rolls as she fixed the order. Wings had freezer burn underneath breading and it was gunk all over the other container if food. There meats are good mist if the time but this ladies attitude was just disgusting. If she is at register next I come I'll go else where. Just loud, ghetto and WRONG.

The quality and taste of the food has diminished drastically! I was excited to order a Turkey wing dinner and wing bag through doordash. Upon opening my trays I was met with the tiniest chicken wings. It had more feathers than meat. The Turkey wings were no better. It's one Turkey wing cut in half and is seriously lacking in flavor. It just all seems thrown together and hardly looks appetizing. No worries I will not order this slop again.

I have only purchased their fresh fish to go, and it is always fantastic!Buy their fresh salmon, catfish or cod, and you will love it at home.Service is great, considering how busy they are.Thank you Capital Seafood Market, you have made eating better easier for me.
