I'm happy to say that this will be our go to place for Viet food! We decided to branch out just a bit for our "local" Viet restaurant and some how convinced my fiancé this was close enough to our home. We arrived and didn't see a parking lot but there were plenty of street parking. The restaurant itself is very spacious, lots of tables, seats, and coffee bar.We ordered:Beef la lot - super fresh; steaming when it got to our table, the flavor was excellent and fish sauce for dipping was also good! Price point was pretty pricey I believe we got 4 pieces and I was a bit shocked with the priceFish sauce chicken wings - very flavorful and crispy; it came out super hot and steaming and presentation was nice. Price point fairThe pho special - to my surprise it was very flavorful, the back rib was super tender and was basically falling off the bone. Price point was fair, I'm not mad about itPork vermicelli bowl w/egg roll - this was good and I normally don't gravitate towards vermicelli bowls but I enjoyed this (kinda wished they gave a bit more fish sauce). Price point this was fair Overall - we enjoyed this place and pretty much will be coming back when we're in the mood for pho or other menu items. The viet coffee was also amazing! The service was a bit slow when it came to paying, it is a big restaurant but we didn't see staff for a bit so we sat quietly until someone came to check on us.

We had heard about T&D Coffee for a little while. We finally got a chance to try them last night after returning to the cold of winter PNW from the warmth of Belize. They did not disappoint. We gave them a good first try.Special Phó-so beefy and delicious!!!Beef Phó-excellentFresh rolls-fresh and largeVietnamese fried corn-amazing, so deliciousVietnamese iced coffee w cheese foam-5starThe service was excellent. The prices were very fare considering the large portion sizes. We will be going back for another round of items soon. Phó dip for pho sure(see what I did there?).They say they have fresh durian on hand for durian smoothies. We love how open it feels in there now that Dion has removed the old wall!!!!Dietary restrictionsThere were plenty of gluten free options for my celiac wife.

Food is good and service is super friendly and attentive. Prices are pretty fair for what you get, the vermicelli bowl is on par with other places, the combo pho was full of meat and made sense for the price point. The beef though, not sure the 5 pieces constitutes being more expensive than the vermicelli bowl. Overall, good is good but be ready for a wait.

The food here is wonderful. The space looks just like a coffeehouse in Vietnam. It's was so great to be there and try their food. The food was on the sweeter side, but it had a great balance. If you're looking for a quick meal though, the service here is a bit scattered. That could be because we went early in the mornings 30 minutes before after they opened. The drinks took longer than the food, and it was a bit scattered one who we needed to talk to when we needed things or where to pay, but if that doesn't matter to you, then go here!

Went in to order take out after work, it was a long day so I wanted a quick meal and there were only a couple tables so I thought it would be quick! I ordered oxtail pho, shaking beef & beef lalot bahn mi... and waited for my order for 40min and it looked like the order was ready but then the lady thought something was missing so order went back and took another 12min! Almost a freakin' hour for 3 things and it took another 12 min to get home. The pho was good, Shaking beef tasted good but pretty disappointed because all the food was lukewarm and eggroll in shaking beef was soggy. I had high hopes for this place because most of my customers told me to go try it out, it's great ...but dropping over $60 for a messed up order (and a tea because I waited so long, I was thirsty) left me feeling hangry!

My husband was getting over a cold, and he really wanted pho. I called our order in and picked it up. There were a few parking spots in front that were full upon arriving, so we had to park in the alley next door. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside was beautiful. It is LARGE! There is a host stand in front and a separate bar to the right for drinks. Up 4 stairs is the main dining area. I will definitely be back for those waterfront views. This would make an ideal date spot for anyone. Not to mention the pho was phenomenal. They called to tell us they forgot our hoisin sauce, but we honestly didn't mind because it was delicious. Also, they have the best cheese foam I have ever tasted! I asked to top my brown sugar milk tea with it and I wanted to bathe in it, it was that good.

Just want to start off by saying how much I love seeing new Vietnamese restaurants that actually taste amazing and close to where I live. This is one of those places. I actually never knew about this place until my family told me about it and actually took me there. Ive been here several times now and it taste great every time. This place is big with lots of tables to accommodate all party sizes. We've tried the banh mi, bo la lot, fries, chicken wings, chicken roti, pho, Vietnamese coffee, and avocado boba. All have tastes great. Owners have also came to check in to make sure everything was to our liking which is so refreshing. They also have a little area right by the door if you're only wanting something to drink. They also have games for your to play while you're waiting or while you enjoy your drink. Food does take some time to come out but that has never bothered us since it comes out hot and tasty every time. If you're looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant to try I'd definitely recommend this place. You won't regret it!

I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could! Their foods are very authentic, fresh and delicious! We love their Pho. The broth is very flavorful. Price is good because it comes with big portions. Staffs are very nice and professional. We also love the ambiance.

You must go inside! The paint may be fresh from their renovation, but Candice is full of the scent from bread and Nước Mắm. The owner suggested egg with our roti chicken, which we ordered alongside a Bánh mì (bread dish, not a sandwich). The food and ambience are a new take on Viet food that is a surprise this far from the ID of Seattle and a welcome respite after the stress of a seatac flight! 5 stars if they had fresh hot peppers! The Bánh mì Bò Né dish was actually more of a Ốp La Chả lụa, eggs, steak and ham slices. It is presented on a cast iron dish. My father and I used to have this for breakfast. However Candice plates this with a more savory heavier sauce for lunch time. There are no oil drippings to "dodge". You will have to decide if that is good or bad :)The Gà roti, rotisserie chicken, has a honey like crusted skin that is gorgeous and crisp. You must lick your lips and your fingers after each bite. Those who are used to Malay and Indian cuisines may confuse the roti name. Here inspired by the French; it does not come with bread. We cant wait to come back for Bò Lá Lốtand Phở. They serve the latter as a hot pot! Some day, American streets may evolve to have Sài Gòn food vendors. Until then we have restaurants like Candice' Vietnamese Kitchen.

I've been going to Candice's Vietnamese Kitchen for 2 years now! I come and work on my laptop and love the ambiance and excellent customer service! The owners and the staff are very warm and welcoming. I also have fun chatting with them. What I appreciate very much is that if I didn't like something, or if I voiced a concern and brought it to their attention, they are always willing to accommodate. This is not always the case for many pho places. They are very consistent with food and service here. I've tried everything on their menu and everything is delicious especially their pho broth! The flavor and the aroma is perfect! No extra sauce needed. I have been to many pho places, this is by far, my favorite pho place. Every dish comes out cooked with love and portion size is perfect. I'm I always looking forward to new dishes. The space is huge and seats many size parties. Which is nice, because I am always looking for a place for meetings. Although, they have a small staff but they seem to work really well together. I love that they are like a family. I can only imagine how hard it is to find great staff, let alone people that can work together and have good energy. This place is a worthwhile Vietnamese kitchen, if you have not tried yet. I highly recommend. My friends all recommended this place to me, so I had to try. It's nice that it is local, there are not many choices in Des Moines that serve healthy options.
