Campeón Market

Muy limpio y tienen muchisimas cosas. Area de guisados y postres, pasteleria, dulces mexicanos y frutas y verduras. Hay cosas que si estan elevadas en precio mas que en otras tiendas pero hay variedad.

I only buy 5 things there. Tortillas, gansitos, spices/dried chilies, chicharrón and pork lard to make beans and carnitas. Sometimes I buy other stuff I need at the time but I stick to things I know are good/decent quality. The place is owned by the same people as H-Mart as far as I know so it gives Campeón an identity crisis. Too many asian products like ramen, too many Latin American products missing from the shelves, the people in charge need to reconsider their strategy, they could have THE biggest Latin-American market in the area. Also the older man that stands in front of the cashiers and pretty much snaps his fingers at them needs to check his biases at the door. I saw him today being rude to his staff and honestly I will not go back to that store. Plus the area is sketch AF.

Great market! Tiktok brought me here for the chicharron and guac which was delicious. I also saw at the salsa bar that they had chicken salad so I got that in addition to tostadas and jalapeño salsa verde. I will have to go back for the salsa verde!

Moving from California, this store did not provide fresh quality items that I am used to. Pretty disappointing, will not be coming back.

I'll get to the point. This store is necessary and thankfully here. I'm not sure if this is the right community, but at least it's here. More fitting for the International District, but again, happy it's here. Unlike the typical bodega, this is a full-sized grocery store. Stock levels may be low or limited, but at least they have a large selection of hardly seen items.Correct me if I'm wrong, but here are the things I didn't see that I would have loved to seen. More deli items. I came to check out the salsa bar, that no longer exists, and for good reason. I should be able to come here and pick up anything I need for a backyard Fiesta. Salsa, guacamole, fresh tortilla chips and all the marinated meats I need to make Carne Asada, Carnitas, grilled chicken and tacos.That is why a place like Uwajimaya can attract a crowd, they sell everything you need to serve or prepare any Asian based meal.Thumbs up to this place, but they need to ensure they are full service, that is how you attract more than the limited Hispanic based in the South King area. They deserve 5 stars, but only earned 4.Can't wait for them to live up to their promise.

This place is a good place to buy Products For any Mexican meal you would like to make they make fresh tortillas in the bakery. Also have a fresh meat and fish department

The prepared food is ... so... good! So authentic! Campeón is out of my way, but I shop there whenever possible because I can get hard to find produce and other products there. Plus, their bakery is wonderful! Churros and other pastries have just the right amount of sweetness, not "over the top caked in sugar" like other bakeries. And the staff is amazing! Always so kind and eager to help. I love this place!

In summary this place is a SCAM ! I needed to order a cakeI called the phone number listed MULTIPLE times no answer. Ok. I was in the area so decided to go in and ask my questions in person "Jose" in the bakery filled out my order form (on Sunday) and stated they CAN DEFINITELY make the cake I wanted and by the time I wanted for the following day (Monday). perfect right . He says I need to pay it in full and just come in with the receipt at my pick up time (@3pm) and I'll be good to go. That's fine I come in on Monday , already running late at 3:30. I tell the First Lady I'm picking up . A lady from the back comes out and begins her sentence with "I was going to call you BUT...excuses excuses " and they do not have a cake ready for me nor do they have ANY of the fillings I wanted . To either take a cake already made that I did not want or get a refund and walk out WITH NO CAKE !! If I ordered ahead of time it's because I obviously needed it the way I ordered it and at the time I put on the form!! lol if I would've known since the beginning that they couldn't do it I would've gone elsewhere ! Funny they made me pay the full amount beforehand and never thought of calling me on the day of to offer to make an alternative ?!?! Instead they let me show up and offered me 2 bs options and WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK TO A MANAGER/SUPERVISOR ?!?!!! They stated there wasn't one? And whomever I could've talked to had left 30minutes before I got there??? I asked for a # to call and the baker lady refused to provide any

No stars. We ordered tamales and they came in banana leaves instead of corn husks. The mass was not made of corn, it was made of potatoes and was totally raw. They were also full of bones, cartilage, and random green beans. There was no sauce, either. Don't give them your money.
