I really wished we had a better experience. It was really dead on a saturday afternoon so it's not like they were busy. My friends and I came to grab food and drinks. The food was very good I will say but the drinks tasted watered down. Our server was pretty rude and rushing us to order. We didn't feel welcome which made us only get a few bites and just leave. I'm not sure if it was because we were younger and the other ones there were older folks but we didn't receive the respect customers should get. Safe to say I won't be returning.Food: 8/10Service: 2/10

Best Carribean food and drinks you can find in the area! Don't forget to try their jalapeño cornbread! It's amazing! Service is always incredible, all of the staff are super friendly and attentive! A super cute location just a block up from the waterfront. The interior is very warm and welcoming and you can tell they put a lot of time into decorating and making the overall ambiance glow! Overall a great place for takeout, dining in, or a fun date! During the summer time if you're lucky enough to get a window seat you can watch the beautiful Edmonds sunset as you dine!

We went around 11:30 AM thinking we would get a lunch menu, but it happens that it's brunch menu until 2 PM. Still went ahead and ordered the calypso toast, the jerk sandwich and steak and potatoes along with the wings. The jerk sauce which comes with the wings had a different taste and was good. The wings was little bland for our taste. The potatoes which came with steak wasn't liked by my wife but otherwise everything else was good. They also had a pina colada virgin! The ambience was good and so was the service. Would definitely visit again for the dinner menu.

I've never had Caribbean food but I can tell you this was not Caribbean. This place is more of a Caribbean inspired restaurant. The meats were cooked well but the "jerk" flavored items were so bland. Everything else was ok. Also, the pricing for these items is ridiculous. $27 for some bland chicken..

Delicious food! We loved everything but you have to get the cornbread!! The adult beverages and mocktails were tasty. It's a cute, small space. They were perfectly attentive and there was live music.

Easily one of my newly found favorite restaurant in Edmonds. Calypso brings the flavors and the hospitality of the Caribbean to the PNW.My first visit to this restaurant left me with a positive impression. The space exudes tropical vibes and relaxed atmosphere. The menu showcases various dishes from the islands including the ubiquitous jerk chicken. This is I had to try. The bone in thighs was tender and had a nice spice. This was served with rice, beans, and vegetable mix. The pineapple scotch bonnet jam add an even greater kick to the chicken. I also ordered a mojito which was served in a hurricane glass with garnish and flexi straw. My second visit was just for drinks and an appetizer. I tried their jerk chicken wings and asked for the sauce on the side. Very flavorful and full of spice. My third visit was for brunch. I ordered their hash bowl which had peppered beef, roasted vegetables, breakfast potatoes, and hollandaise. The beef was tender, vegetables cooked perfectly, and generous amounts of hollandaise sauce. Service was friendly and attentive. Rob constantly checked in on our table and made sure the drinks flowed. This restaurant is a must visit when in Edmonds.

My wife has been a local forever and never visited downtown Edmonds, so we decided to go walk around and we found calypso! The food was definitely the standout here. The Jerk chicken and conch fritters were MUST HAVE items. The beef stew was solid. The drinks were solid. The service was solid. And the place was clean! We will absolutely be back for the chicken and fritters time and again. You should probably try them too.

4 stars today because the service was a little frazzled. 1. Waited 45 minutes for a table but total 10-15. 2. Asked for a napkin and silverware 3 times3. Asked for our app ASAP to feed the kiddo. All the complements go to the chef. Per usual our meal was delicious. We typically know when we go here that the service will be slower than usual. Which is fine, unfortunately, it seems like they are understaffed. I do have some sympathy for our server that was wearing several hats - hosts, food runner, bus boy and server. He was running the show solo. The owner was helping here and there, sitting folks, cleaning tables and delivering drinks. All the while, our server was serving the entire restaurant! Go you dude. #skills They added a bar which is a nice touch to the floodplain.

Hands down the best chicken salad I've ever had at a restaurant. The lobster Mac n cheese was also spectacular. Great ambiance, friendly service, I highly recommend!

This place is adorable! I definitely felt like I was dining in a restaurant in the Bahamas. The wait staff was very kind and accommodating. I order the hash, no meat, and a cup of coffee for Sunday brunch. The meal was simple, but well executed! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; my egg was cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce delicious. I also tried the cornbread, which was moist with a tad bit of heat from the jalapeños, but not at all over powering. Lastly, but most important for a true Seattleite- the coffee was great! It always surprises me how many great breakfast restaurants have horrible coffee. Definitely recommend! I will be back to try more brunch items, and their dinner menu soon.
