California Bean

I found this cute little coffee hut that has amazing reviews on Yelp and it did not disappoint!!!I was visiting the area from Arkansas and the friendliest barista, Morgan, not only made a delectable Vanilla Oatmilk Latte but was SO incredibly helpful giving me ideas on where to go while I was S.D.The blueberry muffin was to die for as well!

Once I got into my rental car at the airport I looked for coffee shops in the area. I normally prefer independent coffee shops to chains. California Bean popped up and I decided to try it.I am glad I tried this place and I only wish I could have their coffee everyday. The little shack is vibrant and the young lady was very pleasant and helpful. I ordered an Americano , it was the best one I have ever had! I also ordered a pumpkin walnut bread, it was very moist, fresh and delicious.

This place was easy to find. It's a small hut/ shack. It nice because it has its own parking area if there isn't street parking. Service was good and quick. Barista was very fast and had good flavor if you like sweeter coffee.

"Great service and Timing"I looked up a coffee spot in the area on Yelp and other than the main brand recommendations, this one arrived on the list and I'm glad I went.The set-up was like a little shack, don't know how to explain it but it's one of the buildings that you can't miss. The server (Krista) was speaking to two other customers before serving me and it was good to see that a conversation was being had around 630am when most folks tend to be grumpy (so I've been told). It was good to see she spoke with me the same way that she did the customers before me, which is always a thumbs-up.I informed her I'm normally a Chai guy and I would like to try their Cinnabon latte. She said good choice but if I haven't had white coffee before and like a bit more flavor try out the toasted turtle. She went into detail about what is in it and how it is made and she had me sold. We had a conversation the whole time while she was making it which I found to be pretty impressive. She wasn't rushing at all and she took her time while she was doing it. Even though I'm not a big fan of the taste of espresso, it didn't bother me when I drank this and that was a game changer for me. I ordered it large, hot, with oat milk and it was very delicious. Not every day someone can say they had white coffee, roasted marshmallow chai and they enjoyed it.I'm glad that Yelp, recommended this place to me because I will be coming back to possibly get the same thing once again. First visit on 6/22. The worker was super friendly and provided great recommendations for hot and iced drinks. She also recommended the homemade granola square. OMGosh! That tho g was bomb! We went back on 6/23 for drinks and another granola square for the drive back to Long Beach. We will definitely go back to California Bean when we are in SD again!

BADLY needed a pick me up! Saw this place on Yelp. Super cute and tiny! Flavor is super good too but was not strong enough for me liking. Regardless, the lady taking orders is super nice and friendly!

Lizzy making delicious and immaculate lattes and such a cheery and bright attitude to make The coffees that more appealing! Small, quaint little shack with attentive staff and Happy baristas with a nice little pub nearby in case you want to have a drink!Try the Zuchini Bread! Also, they have daily specials!!

Came for the coffee, will be coming back for the company. The owner is amazing. We got into incredible conversation so quickly. Thank you for making my morning. I will be back.

Incredibly disappointed by this coffee shop.My latte tasted Iike water and cost $7.25.I was in the area and decided to support a local business but I would pick Starbucks over this place any day.The girl at the window was nice but the coffee was terrible.

Fantastic coffee.Good peanut butter cookies.Pass on the chocolate.Nice owners. Reasonable price.With a ride.
