My husband and I have eaten here a few times now. Service has always been great and the food is pretty good. The menu is massive so everyone can find something here they will like. They give you free chips and salsa with a refried beans dip. Their salsa is yummy and you can get refills of that and chips if you want. We came here a couple of weeks ago and I got the steak fajitas and my husband got the chicken. You get your choice of tortillas with it, along with rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, cheese and sour cream. I opted for no sour cream or beans. The portions are generous, although there wasn't too much meat (tons of peppers and onions though) so a little more would have been good. The steak was pretty tender and well seasoned. My husband also had a margarita which he enjoyed. They have a ton of different types which is nice for some variety. It's worth stopping by here if you're in the area and craving Mexican food.

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Woodinville. I know. That's a matter of opinion, and all of them are good. I loved my nachos. The chips are great and the salsa tasty and a little bit spicy. The atmosphere is alright, and we were quite happy with the service. Also, as a side note the refried beans are done with vegetable oil, not lard.

I've had to revise my review a few times but this will be the last. I have never been sicker in my entire life than I have been after eating here on Monday night. I was holding back on writing this, my plan was to simply remove my previous reviews, but after another sleepless night, I just can't - there is no way I'd wish this on anyone and it wouldn't be fair for me to not give the warning. I had the chorizo fundido tacos. Everyone else in our party had either beef or chicken and no one else became ill. We had an incident here a few years back where they served my son RAW chicken nuggets and we gave them another chance, because I believe it's the right thing to do. But now after this, I've sure learned my lesson. I visited my doctor yesterday who confirmed and testing that this is in fact food poisoning.It is always hard for me to write negative reviews, and this saddens me because I love the location and when the food is good it's good, but I can't not share my experience. We won't be coming back.

One liner: delicious and authentic food with friendly staff and about $40 for two people. Tucked away in a Woodinville strip mall, my wife and I discovered this restaurant through yelp. It's a spacious restaurant with seating at the bar, tables, and booths. Well maintained and clean. We got one of the booths and the waitresses were very nice and friendly. I tried the Modelo especial (because they ran out of the Bohemia) and while we ordered, we dug into the complimentary chips and dips. The salsa was good but unlike other Mexican restaurants in the area, they serve refried beans dip also with their chips. That refried bean dip was delicious. We ordered huevos rancheros and the vegetarian street tacos. The potions are on the larger side and the street tacos had wonderful cilantro aroma, vegetables that tasted fresh and warm, nice tortillas, all served with a hot salsa. I loved it and would eat them again. I was checking out their TV adverts and looks like they have some interesting cocktails and drinks (may be for the next time if I visit at night). The service was prompt as well.

It happened to me many times that I have stumbled on places which are not in my list and turned out to a surprise! Caliente is one such places. We were planning for a Mexican lunch after a movie; this place was the closest one.Went there without much expectations. They've got an amazing place there. great ambiance which gives that authentic feel. They offer patio dine-in as well. Menu - fabulous. They have lunch and dinner specials. They have some house specials, tacos and a huge drinks menu as well. Started with a mocktail - Virgin Margarita. For the main course ordered a Deluxe Burrito with chicken, Expresso Burrito Vegetarian and a Kid's Menu Quesadilla.The lady who helped us that day was very sweet. She was eager to help us and she suggested the Expresso Burrito when I was looking for a vegetarian option. She served the Chips, salsa and beans first - authentic. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes.Loved the burritos. So flavorful and spicy! Their sauce/salsa have added different flavor to it though both the burritos looked exactly the same. I even asked her whether they are same! She smiled and said I will figure it out. Most of the places offers the Kids Quesadilla with a lot of cheese and little chicken in it. But this was so different and we loved it! I love Mexican food and tried many places around this area. But Caliente is so so good. Loved the food and flavor of it! Will definitely go back there! Highly recommend it!

Amazing value during happy hour (you need to ask for their happy hour menu). My favorite menu item from the happy hour menu is the enchilada, which came covered in a delicious bean sauce and some cheese, and each one was only $3.50. I liked it a lot more than the tacos.They give you unlimited refills of tortilla chips and salsa and bean dip and the chips taste fresh. The bean dip was definitely not healthy but delicious and the salsa had some heat and good flavor.The happy hour menu doesn't have any options with steak, so I ordered the steak fajitas from the dinner menu, and they came out on a hot plate of steak fried with vegetables, with another plate for sides (flour tortillas in a pot, Spanish rice, beans with cheese on top, sour cream, guac). It was absolutely delicious even though it cost a lot more than the happy menu items and I would order it again.
