Cali Cream Ice Cream

I always drove past this shop on my way home and one day my boyfriend and I popped our heads in. They have an assortment of flavors which makes it tough to choose! We got Graham Central Station and Salt Caramel Truffle. There's ample seating outside to sit and enjoy your restaurant. Parking is a bit tough due to its location. Regardless, a must try!

LIGHT & CREAMY! A dessert trip to Cali Cream is a great idea, I had the pleasure of stopping by during SDCC and they had a wonderful array of ice cream flavors, they even had themed treats for Comic Con! I selected the Twix flavored double scoop, I enjoyed it very much. The texture was perfect and the ice cream had a gentle sweetness to it. Service was solid, the guy who helped was super nice. I originally ordered a comic con flavor and made it to the register. suddenly they ran out! The guy was apologetic and professional. Cali Cream also has baked treats, I think this is a delightful idea as you can pair a baked good with a serving of cold ice cream! The storefront is clean and inviting. It's truly a wonderful addition to the Gaslamp. Inside, there's tons of people, however the staff were quick and moved things along in a timely manner. There's a bunch of cool flavors, so many in fact I can't attach them to this review! Peep my pics below for the menu! As for seating, there's a few outdoor tables, however they're very limited. Inside there's no seating available. I also saw some shirts hanging up on the wall, I'm thinking they sell Cali Cream merch? Anyways, this a really neat ice cream parlor, I recommend it!

Right when you walked in, immediately we were greeted by one of the girls. From the start to the end, she provided great customer service. My child and I were so impressed with her energy. Even my child commented that she was really nice. Great portion for the cost. I ordered a vanilla chocolate chip with sprinkles for my child. I got a bite and it was really creamy but not heavy. We definitely will be back!

Great location. Service is good. They have a good amount of options and it hit the spot on these hot days! I would say the price was good for the portion given. Ambiance was nice inside, and they definitely had a good amount of seats. Would recommend!

tried Cai cream at the stand at comic con convention on Thursday. Their massive snickerdoodle cookies caught my intention. they're baked fresh every day, so I can not resist. a perfect crunch around the edges and soft and fluffy on the inside, a perfect cookie. a great sugar pick me up as I continued around the convention.

Visited Friday night 6/7/2024 and had the best experience! We came about 20 mins before closing with our doggie and they were super friendly to him and still welcoming to us. We were craving late night sweets and saw it was only a 6 mins walk from our hotel so we decided to go. They had soooo many flavors, I was honestly kinda overwhelmed but they were so nice and let us sample a few. I ended up getting the flight w/ graham central station (SOOO GOOD MUST GET, very unique), banana cream pie, cookies n cream & Rocky road. The Rocky road was pretty standard. The cookies n cream tasted like vanilla based ice cream w lots of Oreo chunks in them. My favorite was definitely the banana cream pie and the graham central. ($9 for all 4) The ambiance was super spacious with very bright lights! They even gave barry (my doggie) his own mini cone. Will definitely be coming back to try their other flavors.

Overall: A great option for a guilty-pleasure amount of take out ice creamThe good: Huge, huge portions so you get your money's worth. 2 scoops were probably too much, but I don't regret it. They let you try samples so that you can narrow your choices, of which there are plenty. Whether you want chocolate, fruity, or candy-based flavors, you'll find what you want. The price is right and the ice cream it self is decadent and delicious. Definitely grab napkins if you get a cone!The not-so-good: Not much, very much a "guilty pleasure" kind of ice cream and not a "natural, organic, fresh" kind. Sooooo good! The flavor and the texture of the ice cream are amazing and the service was fantastic! The portions were HIGHLY generous. A "single flavor scoop" is really 3 full scoops of ice cream! And that's the smallest portion you can order.

Absolutely crave worthy and came back before the end of my trip.Blueberry Crumble (5/5) was my favorite and there's so much chunks of blueberry and crumble. So delicious. Slightly fresh with the fruit, but has so much graham mix-in. Would recommend and get again. Cookie Monster (4/5) has HUGE chunks of cookie and brownie, and they're delicious! So satisfying and brings my other experience to shame. I was debating getting brownie or cookie over the cone, but this flavor, didn't even need it. I give the Blueberry Crumble the edge since the mix-ins are incorporate throughout; the bites without the cookie/brownie was just vanilla.Lemon Cake Blueberry (4/5): Lemon cake is very accurate, it's nice and subtle; the lemon doesn't overpower the cake flavor. I can't taste blueberry, it's so minimal! While it's good I didn't finish it wanting more like the others.S'mores (3/5): It didn't really taste like s'mores to me :/ The base is supposed to be the graham flavor but it tastes more like lite caramel and even though there are chunks of marshmallow throughout, I couldn't really taste it and same with the chocolate. I would skip this one. One negative thing was the cone game is weak... I really like thick waffle cones; when I get to the butt of the cone, it crumbled and broke apart. There's places outside to sit and eat and there is a complimentary water dispenser. The workers are great too, efficient and get the order done quick.

First timer! This is some good quality ice cream, packed with flavor. Right next door to Prince Pizza in downtown. The three of us ordered orange sherbert, graham central station, and horchata (for me). The service from the lady was really nice and helpful. The texture of the ice cream was thick and stretchy. My horchata was good but a little too flavorful eventually. Since they fold in cinnamon, it got overwhelming. Still finished it though. Had a bite of the orange sherbert and the graham central station and both were packed with flavor, kinda wish I got that instead. Many flavors to choose from and serves big scoops.
