We ordered an 8"" Neapolitan cake for my daughters birthday and it was a hit! It was gorgeous and everyone loved the cake. The layers tasted distinctly like strawberry, chocolate and vanilla and the frosting was amazing.

Really pleased with the neapolitan cake I ordered from Cakes by Squirrel for my dad's 75th birthday. We'd never had a neapolitan cake before and it was so good! We got the medium size (8-inch) which was more than enough for a small party as it was quite a tall cake.What we especially loved was how each layer of cake and icing (strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate) was completely unique -- obviously a lot of work was put into this cake and we loved it. We also really liked that the icing was subtle and not too sickly-sweet like so many places that just pile it on. All the flavors perfectly balanced each other.I especially loved the fact that everything about this cake was vegan -- I was literally the only vegan at my dad's party and everyone was so shocked in a good way when I told them the cake was vegan, ha! Everyone loved this cake and I highly recommend Megan and cakes by Squirrel for any of your custom cake needs :)

I've gotten a few cakes from them over the years, so I knew exactly where I was going to get my wedding cake. We had a very enjoyable experience with the tasting. She was totally open to the fact that we wanted to explore some very not traditional flavors and managed to whip something up for all of our crazy ideas. We settled on pistachio cake with elderflower pastry cream, white chocolate mocha, and a gluten free hazelnut w/ chocolate buttercream. When COVID-19 hit and we had to postpone our wedding...twice, she was super graceful and responsive about it. No fees were charged and we were able to get our new date locked in for next year.Since we weren't going to get our wedding this year we decided to order a consolation cake of sorts. I gave here free reign in flavor and decoration, and she hit it out of the park. She picked up on all this stuff about me growing up on a farm and the flower choices for the wedding, and then used it in the decorations. The cake flavor was hazelnut to match one of our cake flavors. I'm just gonna say, if you want to get something special, ask about the hazelnut cake (It's not on the regular menu). It's very tender, light, and full of flavor. And for something so delicate, it managed to survive a nearly epic fail car ride back to my house with minimal damage , so I'm impressed.

Such a pleasure to work with! My only issue is the cakes are so dry. And it's a bummer because they are full full full of flavor. But after you slice...the crumbs are just too much. Mo matter what...I would still always come back for a special occasion cake because of the great service.

Amazing! Ordered the neapolitan cake for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely delicious and beautifully decorated. We were easily able to serve 8 people with the standard 8" size with plenty of leftovers (which we greedily ate over the next few days) - Looking forward to ordering more!

Got the mint chocolate vegan cake for a birthday.Wow, was super impressed with the cake. It far exceeded expectations. Not only was it visually stunning with the tall dimensions, it tasted fantastic!We also appreciated having the 4" option for just two of us.Will definitely be getting more cakes from Cakes By Squirrel!!!
