If you're looking for a delicious cheesecake, this is it! I ordered two whole cheesecakes from Cake Envy and they were both DELICIOUS!! They were also beautiful, which helped as I was planning on taking them both to a special event. The first was a Creme Brûlée cheesecake. It was rich and smooth and creamy and had a lovely crunchy crackly Creme brûlée sugar coating on top. I enjoyed a slice of this fancy cheesecake slowly and deliberately, savoring each and every creamy toasted sugary bite. 100 percent I recommend this one! It was the center of attention at the party and even my stepfather, who spent decades in NY developing his fancy palette, gave his stamp of approval. And he rarely compliments anything lolThe second was a Mocha cheesecake. This one had a smooth creamy chocolately coffee flavor. The crust tasted like Oreos blessed with a drizzle of espresso. The aroma of coffee called to me through the box and I couldn't resist so I ate a quarter of it by myself before the party... This one I devoured quickly, mindlessly.. albeit.. selfishly. I could *figuratively* feel it coursing through my veins as it gave me enough energy to clean my entire house before I finally crashed and fell asleep. The best way to see the many cheesecake flavors this place offers is to check out their Instagram. I think their website is under construction at the moment. Or it ate too much Mocha lol

Bend the knee Brownie Batter from Lucy's Lab. Cake Envy's Chocolate Truffle just dethroned you from as my favorite ice cream. Cake Envy is located across the Hawaii Theater, seating around 25 people in a clean, well-lit Chinatown shop.My 9 friends and I rolled into Cake Envy around 8 PM (yes, in our old age of 30-32) after having dinner at Topped (another excellent choice) on a Friday evening. Place was deserted which suited our dessert fix just fine. The nice young lady working let us sample a variety of sorbet and ice cream options. I ordered a two scoop Kona Coffee and Chocolate Truffle. The amount for $5.50 was less than other places, but quantity sometimes isn't everything. First bite of the chocolate truffle was amazing: smooth, creamy, major chocolate flavor with thin slices of chocolate, just amazing. The Kona Coffee had strong coffee flavor but the bitterness was balanced with sweet. Neither flavor was overly sweet. My friends tried Oreo, salted caramel, dragonfruit and other flavors and all enjoyed them. The cheesecake, ice cream, and sorbet place also sells cheesecakes, but none of us had enough space for that. Next time!

I am full of ENVY. I ENVY of the peeps who work and live in town that have easy access to this shop. I ENVY them because they can indulge in the slices of heaven that this cute, trendy shop pops out of the oven. I ENVY the girls who can have a fun time catching up on each other's lives while licking a gelato made from non-other than ilgelato. I ENVY the couples who looking dreamily into each other's eyes, to take breaks to slice through the decadent cheesecake, then slowly seductively consume the gem and then magically end it with a kiss. I ENVY the Instagram of Cake Envy, as it knowingly teases a sweet tooth of mine by posting wonderful pics of their goodies. As you can see I'm full of ENVY for CAKE ENVY. What is Cake Envy? They serve homemade g-o-u-r-m-e-t cheesecake. I first got a taste of their heavenly slices at an event called Dessert Fantasy. Check out my review for the event: http://www.yelp.com/biz/dessert-fantasy-honolulu-2?hrid=psMaJx9ylbcuYnIb_jsjwACake Envy won a few awards from this event, the awards are nicely decorated on their walls. Besides cheesecake they also serve gelato made by ilgelato. The gelato is made here in Hawaii and it's awesome as well. EnvironmentI love the decor. It's chic, spacious, and nicely decorated. A great place to hang out with friends, to subdue your sweet tooth, and bring a date. CheesecakeThey offer all sorts of flavors, but they vary day by day. You can also put in an order for a whole pie. Here is a picture of the list: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cake-envy-honolulu?select=PRNzz3Pt2gN97NDWz6j4BwParking: Parking can be tricky. There is street metered parking. Mark's Garage is near by. You can also walk from Walmart's parking garage. You have to make a minimum purchase at Walmart, I think you have to spend a minimum of $10. Overall: I relish their cheesecake and adore their decor.

We decided to grab some dessert after dinner at the pig and the lady. When we first walked in we noticed the owner and her friends enjoying their glasses of wine. Apparently they were open so we proceeded to order our cheesecakes. (no greeting whatsoever, we honestly thought there was a party happening) They run for $6 a slice and we also ordered the chocolate lava cake that was $5. -Cherry Amaretto cheesecake: The cherry was pretty distinctive but the cheesecake was really crumbly? In addition to that the cheesecake barely had any crust. I've had better. (+2/5)-Creme Brûlée cheesecake: This was also really crumbly in consistency. Furthermore it tasted like plain cheesecake with a burnt topping. (The creme brûlée part was so burnt it was inedible) After a few bites we weren't able to take another. (+1/5)-Chocolate lava cake: Tasted like a brownie with a fudge filling. I can't believe i'm saying this but it really tasted like a box mix. (+1/5)I rarely give one star ratings but I am so disappointed. I will not come back. Now it's time to get some cheesecake from otto cakes.

What's your guilty pleasure? Mine is spending $6 on a single slice of cheesecake. The first time I came here was on a whim. I was craving desserts and as luck would have it, they had the flavor that I had been eyeing on for a while - Creme Brûlée. I wouldn't say I'm an expert on cheesecakes, but I think this might have been the best cheesecake I have ever had. If I was dying and could have only one request, I would say, "GO TO CAKE ENVY AND GET ME A WHOLE CAKE OF THEIR CREME BRULEE." When I really like something, I end up always getting it...yes I'm that basic. It was creamy and smooth. The top of the cheesecake was just toasted to perfection and as I bit into it, I could taste the caramelized goodness. I've tried their other flavors: chocolate covered strawberry, dark chocolate guinness, and signature pink velvet but none of them stood out for me like Creme Brûlée did. If you plan on being a regular, sign up for their FIVESTARS reward card program! Even if you forget to bring your card with you, it can be set up to be linked to your cell number and/or email so you'll still be able to get points which is awesome. I think after my 2nd visit, I already had an offer for a BOGO cheesecake! You already know I used it for TWO Creme Brûlées ;) Oh yeah, if you're ever curious about their flavors for the day - don't be shy and give them a call! They are more than helpful in naming all the cheesecakes. Also, go early in case they do sell out. I remember I called them before noon asking for the Creme Brûlée, they told me there were 2 slices left. When I arrived, they were all gone. Lesson learned :(I can't wait to come back to try out their new gelato I keep hearing about!

Great News! Cake Envy has now added Il Gelato to its menu. This Gelato is amazing and the best on the Island and has won International Competitions. We only tried 3 flavors but there are several more on my list. It's great to have another option in Downtown for a Cold Dessert, plus Gelato is healthier than Ice-cream.

Very very cute shop! Located on Bethel street right across Hawaii Thearter, the tricky part of any downtown establishment is finding parking. We went around 8pm so street parking isn't that bad... wouldn't know what would be the best place to park during the day.Anyhow, someone needed cheesecake and this was open so we came here. They mainly sell cheesecake but also sell other cakes and gelato too. We ordered their popular Lilikoi slice and Cookies & Cream slice with Sea Salted Caramel gelato and hot teas. The both cheesecakes are well made... light and not to heavy tasting... the lilikoi flavor was nice and the cookies & cream was awesome because it was topped off with oreo cookie crumbs... the crumbs were also in the crust and in the cheesecake too. The gelato was from Il Gelato and we could taste the caramel and vanilla but the sea salt really wasn't there or our palettes were too consumed by the flavors of the cheesecake still freshly in our mouths.Overall, this is a great place to get a cheesecake fix if you have a craving or are in the area. The prices are moderately high, but if they keep making outstanding & flavorful slices of cheesecake, $6 a slice is a piece of cake! Grind on! Pau!

So I'm writing this review, giggling to myself, because I just finished responding to several friends about why the "Pink Velvet" Cheesecake I had, was green. Joyce W. had one theory, and I had another. But in the end, I think we were both wrong? I'll get back to this later.Well, Cake Envy is located on Bethel St. directly across from the Hawaii Theater. The inside is nice. Roomy with a high ceiling and decorated with trendy wall art and knick knacks. Large windows makes for good people watching entertainment in Downtown. These guys have been making cheesecakes for a long time, and through some of the reviews I've read, they have about 60 different varieties. The flavors in the showcase changes every so often, so don't expect to see the same ones on every visit. Although I prefer the classic plain cheesecake, the other ones her are pretty good too. They're not so dense, but creamy with the right amount of sweetness. Recently, they've begun selling Gelato! Who doesn't love that? Best of both worlds under one roof! Getting back to that "Pink" Velvet cheesecake, I know it exists because I saw Amy Y's picture to prove it! Hers was pink pink. Not wannabe pink like mine. Yet, it tasted like "Pink" Velvet. I guess. It was good...but I actually believe that 1) the wrong sign was placed in front of the wrong cheesecake, or 2) I got leftovers from St. Patrick's day. Hopefully, it was my first guess. Hmm... Perhaps it was Pistachio? Guess I'll never really know.Regardless, I'm still a fan of Cake Envy. Street parking only so be prepared.

Stopped by for after lunch snack. I ordered the double chocolate Jack Daniels and my friend had the cookies and cream. Both were heavenly. Very decadent! Be wary though, cheecakes are grea, decor is trendy, but the upside down smiles, unfriendly atmosphere, and the answers you have to pull out of the service counter person, just made me tired and I was curious enough about the cheesecake that I ignored the aloofness of the sales/counter person and stayed. by the way, we were the only ones in there. Thumbs up for the cheesecake ($6), thumbs way down for the service and upside down smiles.

Happened to be in the area so I walked in to check out what they had to offer. They have a decent selection of cheesecake, ice cream, and a few assorted cookies as well. I only got a cheesecake slice, which while very good, goes for $6.The place is decently sized with some seating but you can just as easily get it to go.
