Cafe Royale

To start off with the service is unmatched, I took a bus to that location due to my car being in the shop. So I wanted a place to sit down and eat, even though the restaurant had no customer sitting area yet. The owner allowed me to sit and eat with his family and it was a great time. I had the goat meat, veggies and rice plate which was freaking fantastic. The plate was so big, I ended up taking half of it home so I could eat it tonight. I will definitely be a regular at that place and I would recommend it to anyone.

Came back again with my friends after a second spartan race. We tried their Somali specials: a goat plate, mixed beef, chicken plate, and a lamb plate.We even got an appetizer item of Buffalo fries (which comes in diff flavors that you can pick from) and four guys finishes that in no time.For the different plates, everything was cooked fresh. The meat was so tender and juicy سبحان الله , and the rice was flavored well also. My friends told me that they enjoyed their chicken.We even got a taste of the burger which was modified and even better than the last time I had it Allahuma barik,Def adding this to my San Diego food list spots and it's close to the masjid as well so recommend coming here after salah if you are hungry

DISGUSTING AND INEDIBLE! Over $30 for my order full of hair!!! Not one strand but a whole clump!!! I am sooo disgusted please don't order from this disgusting place!!! They should be banned for serving food containing CLUMPS OF HAIR!!!! I hope the health inspector closes this place down!!!!

Cafe Royale had some of the best goat meat dish I've had in a while. Fork tender with some flavorful rice green bell pepper and onion. Their red and green salsa's were amazing, the green one felt right at home with a very pleasant spice level yet still having very complex flavor's. The red salsa was sweeter and was a nice palate cleanser for the dish. The staff was pleasant and welcoming with a nice price point for the amount of food. This might be the new spot!

I love this place. They are always pleasant and greet you when you walk in. Food is amazing every time. Even for a small business they seem passionate about what they do. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to taste authentic East African cuisine.

We happened upon a family-run gem serving Somalian African food that left a lasting impression. We tried the Carne Asada fries and Chicken Sandwich - both were excellent, packed full of flavor and served in impressively generous portions. Not only was the food amazing, but the customer service was equally commendable. The warm, familial feel of the place is palpable, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Their traditional sauces added a unique and delightful twist to the dishes. A highly recommended spot for those looking to explore authentic African cuisine with a side of stellar service.

I ate at Café royale tonight, and it was delicious. I haven't ate here in years since moving away from the area. However the food was just as delicious as before and the meat was so tender. I had some of the best service tonight that I've had in a long time. Thank you Mohamed for the amazing cultural experience. I will be returning soon.

Lamp and goat feast, it was sooo gooood!! I'd definitely come back and get the same!!! 10/10

This place is a golden hole in the wall!!I got recommended by a friend of mine, and I've been craving it ever since.Me and my partner came in for a sit down. Both of us opted for the Goat Feast and the guava, and it was absolutely and for 20 bucks, they give you some very decent portions the only reason i didnt completely crush mine was becausei wanted some for later. The goat was perfectly tender, and the fat melted like butter. The rice was good, and the onions and bell peppers were the right amount of sweet to balance the goat. It also came with this red sauce, and as someone who has the lowest spice tolerance known to man, it was a spice I embraced. The guava juice was also very good. I wasn't gonna get it at first, but nothing changed my decision, so quick after having a sample. The customer service was also very personal while waiting for our food. we had an entire conversation on the history of this space and the food scene in the area they were so attentive and very kind. However, compliments aside, I will say this place is in need of a makeover. A lot of people would easily miss this place because, visually, it doesn't stand out but I guess that's also how you know the food is good. This place has so much potential, and I really look forward to seeing it thrive definitely coming back!!!

Customer service was amazing and the food was fresh and delicious. Ambiance was nice. Will definitely go back again.
