Little confusing getting in if you come from the back. (Looks like you're walking into the kitchen.) But once you get inside, the service is friendly my macha was good, but it's the lovely patio on a sunny day that sold me on this place. Seats were not the most comfortable but it was glorious being able to study AND enjoy the sun. Parking was easier than I expected.

What a gem!!! We stopped at Care Red for breakfast. I absolutely loved the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and the artwork of artists displayed throughout the cafe. Healthy vegan options, delicious coffees and teas. No wonder that this cafe was buzzing with customers! Amazing!

We came in on Friday morning for a quick bite and a hot drink :) it wasn't too busy and we were blown away by the awesome selection of food! Cafe Red is a vegan place, and as a non vegan myself, I loved trying some new things! I love that their menu has a mix of dishes that would usually have meat in them or go full veggie. I wanted to try many different things. This round, I went with a chorizo burrito. It was savory, it was flavorful and I loved the sauce it came with (I requested spicy). It was a tough call between that and the avocado toast. I'm already thinking of my next order! I also enjoyed the yaupon atole-a drink I had never heard of before. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of cinnamon, this drink was wonderful. It was the right balance of earthy, light and sweet. Their restaurant is lovely-it has generous seating indoors and outdoors, with lots of local art and coffees for sale, and even a little library. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

I very much enjoy Cafe Red. Great avocado toast and vegan treats. Coffee/Tea is top notch and delicious oat milk. It's a different kind of place for the south end but really appreciate it for what it is. Always staffed by kind people too.

Cute, friendly, clean neighborhood gem. I am unfamiliar with plant based milks with my tea and they were happy to help. The avocado toast was perfection.

Follow-up... the owner wrote back to me today, questioning whether we found a napkin or not. We literally showed your staff the moment we found it. The staff barely said sorry because they were so shocked themselves to see the napkin in the sandwich. The manager should have offered a refund and remade the sandwich on the spot. On the day my friend and I were there, we found a napkin in our sandwich. They said it was left in from drying the produce - not a good excuse. The reason the experience was even worse was that when we asked for extra sauce for the sandwich they had to remake, the staff charged us for that too - after we found a napkin in the previous sandwich. Come on.The food is GOOD! But again, the service sucked. You only offered a voucher later in our meal. You probably did that so I would not write a review. And NO - YOU'RE DISHONEST. You didn't refund us or offer for that matter. If you did refund us, I'm not aware of it . Just do better with your customer service - it's simple! We are paying high prices, so customers deserve good service and should not find meat, or napkins in their food at your vegan cafe . Thanks!

Man, I really liked this place, but it was so darn expensive. Earlier this summer, we had a little air b and b in Seattle's Othello neighborhood. I walked down to Cafe Red a couple of mornings for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Cute little place! I'm pretty sure it's a converted caboose train car. Very cool! Appropriately, it's smack dab, right off Seattle's Othello neighborhood train stop. Perfectly convenient. Very friendly workers. Looked like a small kitchen in the back. Service was quick. My wife and daughter said the coffee was good. Let me tell you about the sandwich! There wasn't a large variety, but the sandwiches were special. We tried the sausage egg and cheese and the bacon egg and cheese. These sandwiches were huge. We could only eat half and saved half for later. The bread was a beautiful artisan chiabata. The sausage and bacon was thick, bold, and delicious. The cheese was perfectly gooey. The egg was something I'd never had before. It was a big square on the sandwiches. It looked kind of strange, and I was a bit skeptical, but it was delicious, savory, and had a meaty consistency. The sandwiches were still good after being warmed up. Cafe Red has a cool outdoor section. It looks like there is live music here pretty regularly. They are also actively involved in Seattle's social issues, providing an area for gatherings. Little place looked to play a big part in solving issues. I love that! If you are riding around on Seattle's awesome metro rail system and get a chance to stop at Othello, definitely check out Cafe Red!

What a great cafe! It's only my second visit here since I'm very rarely in the Othello area, but I had some extra time before heading to the Ms game today so I wanted to stop by. I love supporting vegan businesses. Parking can be a bit challenging in this area, but if you take light rail, it couldn't be easier since it's located right next to the Othello station. I ordered an oatnilla latte, this time with pistachio. I don't know what it is about these, I order a lot of iced oat vanilla lattes, but there's is really outstanding. SO delicious. The potato patty with avocado was tasty (how can you go wrong with fried potato and avocado) and the pesto sandwich was delish too. The staff were delightful, welcoming and kind and they have created a very cute and inviting outdoor patio space, perfect for a sunny spring day like today. Will try to come back sooner to try more of their treats!

This spot has turned into my favorite cafe. I don't think I've had better service or cold brew any where else. Their Oatnilla cold brew latte is DELICIOUS. Considering buying their beans and house made vanilla syrup to make it at home, but doubt it would be as good.I've tried a couple of their food options. The pesto breakfast sandwich is a perfect combo for a cold drink. And the veggie burrito is super filling, the two salsas it came with were perfect as well. It's a perfect little spot to get some work done too. Fast wifi, comfy seating, love the art on the wall, bathrooms are always clean. I wish they were open later in the day, but understand why they close when they do.The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. I've asked handful of questions and they're super knowledgeable and know their stuff.WORTH stopping by on the way to work or even staying in a warm day. I'm obsessed with this place.
