When my friend and I visited downtown Seattle, we roamed around in search of brunch. We stumbled upon a vegetarian Banh Mi Sandwich and Oplas Hawaii for me. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Totally worth it!

Not much good stuff to eat right close to the port, except Cafe Opla that is!! Took a bit of searching and Yelp showed it on the incorrect street corner. But anyways came in good time!! They were making the egg scramble just fresh, and brewing coffee too. It took a bit of digging to find the sandwich I wanted, but for sure on THAT BREAD The bread made the sandwich in my opinion! But so did the fluffy eggs.. I wish it had more avocado, literally had slivers (thin)... The space is, well I thought it was small but it opens up once you're inside. Maybe it's the dark spaces make it look smaller to the eye? Anyways, several tables with condiments (salt, pepper, ketchup, etc) and chairs, you're given a number when you order, so you'll have the number on your table for when your order is delivered to you. This was about $18 with tip, for a generous sandwich and a medium coffee. I think I'd rather go here than to other spots on Pike Plaza .. can't believe I just said that but, what can I say? I did really enjoy the sammy! :)

I'm sorry to say that our meals here were disappointing. I was really hopeful because the reviews and photos were great! We ordered the waffles appetizer and Hawaiian Opla skillet, and they both tasted mediocre. Don't get me wrong, the presentation is cute. However, I prefer to pay $18 for a great tasting meal than for presentation. The waffles were chewy and the dipping sauces were too sweet and artificial. The opla skillet was pretty small. It was prepared well, but it somehow tasted nothing special. On top of that, my friend ordered an ube Vietnamese coffee, and it was heavily watered down and contained 0 coffee. If you are in this area, there are other options to try.

A cute little fast casual, cafe style restaurant that serves some very unique breakfast items (Opla) which contain a bunch of your conventional breakfast items in a skillet. I opted to try both their Filipino Opla and their Banh Mi and absolutely loved both of them. The Opla Philippines has tasty meatballs and sausages that have a little hint of sweetness, get this with a side of garlic rice and the dish will put you straight into a food coma. (I think the garlic rice could've been more garlicky though). Even though this place is known for its Opla dishes I truly think I had one of the best Banh Mis I've ever tasted here. The bread is fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside and it's a pretty sizable sandwich. You can't wrong with either dish and it was awesome to be able to try a Filipino inspired breakfast.

This place is BOMB. Breakfast was amazing and we're so happy we stumbled onto Cafe Opla! I'm not a coffee drinker but my London Fog was great and the service is stellar. Highly recommend! Especially if you're getting off of a cruise in Seattle and you want something different than cruise ship buffet

Quite breakfast Cafe right across from Marriott. Had a craving for eggs and this hit the spot and more. The parm eggs were delicious and creamy, perfectly scrambled with a mini warm soft French baguette on the side. We also had the American skillet that was delicious as well a very hearty breakfast. The staff was great patient and very attentive. You place your order at the counter, and hey bring it out to your table along with water while the food is being prepared. I also had the chai Latte with Almond milk. Hurry in because this special gem is only open until 2pm..so mainly breakfast /lunch time. Enjoy!

Great breakfast spot in Seattle, a little on the small side, but some nice outdoor seating and an excellent menu. They had different themed breakfast skillets; a Vietnamese skillet, a Hawaiian, a Filipino skillet and many more. They also have great coffee and lattes.I ended up ordering myself a hot drip coffee, which was 100% and the Vietnamese breakfast skillet. We barely waited before all of the foo came out. My skillet was two fried eggs, grilled pork and vegetables and was excellent.

tl;dr My party of 4 out-of-towners were happy to find Cafe Opla walking distance from the touristy Pike Place Market/waterfront. Large and varied portions for a reasonable price! The restaurant is pretty small, so try to snag a table with your party if you see one free up. Service was reasonable for the size of the restaurant. After ordering at the counter, they give you a stand with a number and later bring the food to you. Most of us got the skillets, but the sandwiches also looked good!
