Came for a weekday lunch for the first time, and the place was hopping! A small, cozy space, and you grab a table if you can, then order at the counter. The staff were super-helpful to our group of 3 to manage to put a couple of 2-spots together while we were in line for food. The menu was a little overwhelming, but I was looking for the Turkish specialties of the house. Decided on Turkish Lahmacun, Mangal Style (Thin wrap with ground beef & lamb with tomatoes, onions, peppers, and spices), lemon on the side to squeeze onto the lamb - fantastic! The side salad was hearty and tasty. We also got Turkish Borek (pastry layers filled with feta cheese and parsley), also delicious. The salad with prosciutto that our third party got was humongous! Staff was very friendly, even coming over to explain why they don't automatically put plastic silverware into the bag with the leftover salad . Can't wait to come back for more!

Our first time eating here on a recommendation and we were so glad we stopped in. The food choices are extensive from interesting salads and sandwiches to full dinner selections. We started with the feta Turkish Borek and side salad. We split the Turkish style stuffed peppers and the lamb shank, both were so flavorful and tender. Of course we had to try the walnut baklava which was oozing with honey as you cut into it, absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is charming and cozy. There is no alcohol served so bring your own.Mehmet, chef and owner stopped by our table and we chatted for a while and he introduced us to his co-owner Gul as well, such friendly people! My husband told him that his restaurant is the kind of place you want to hug everyone who made your meals. We'll be back very soon.

We went all out here-- 3-4 mezes (apps), 3 main dishes, and sodas/juices. Everything was delightful & the decor felt like a trip through history and art! We ordered at the register, and service throughout was 5 star. Definitely glad we came & the kids loved the lahmacun!

Here it is.... Came in with my new profound love, you would've thought we were in a cafe in the hills of Italy never mind Wellesley. Chatted with the owner, what a guy. He thought I was a plumber for some reason but that's besides the point. The real point is I'd plunge whatever toilet he needed for another taste of that baklava any day of the week.

I stumbled upon this place after some errands. Great lunch place with good sandwiches and salads. The portion size is large and the food is fresh. It's a family-run business and you can tell they care.

Disappointed with our lunch at Mangal - VERY crowded (which of course means everyone thinks it is very good), VERY noisy. The food was good, but I would never call this a Turkish restaurant, at least not for lunch: the only vaguely Mediterranean/Middle Eastern vegetarian dish on the lunch menu was a salad with pita wedges and a dollop of humus. (There are three Turkish meat dishes for lunch.)
