CAFE LaTERRE

Don't let this being in a Salon building fool you, legit Coffee shop. Very good, honestly best coffee in Encinitas. I love their Mochas and lattes! Service is always great too!

An odd little spot, situated in the middle of a spa on the former site of Pier One Imports. It's not a location that one would automatically think of when looking for cafes. Cafe LaTerre is actually little more than an alcove for preparing caffeinated drinks and niblets, with a small bar for sitting along one side.That said, it ain't half bad. They use fairly high quality beans and the baristas I have encountered there seem fairly competent in their espresso-making skills. Is it the best coffee I have had in the area? No. But once you get away from the cafes that dot the coastline, CLT certainly ranks better than most of the caffeine-mongers along the El Camino corridor. If you're in the neighborhood, it's a pretty dependable bet.

Such an amazing little spot inside the Salon World Suites. We tried the salted maple latte, drip coffee, and the iced chagga chai latte, all of which were super yummy!! (You gotta try the chagga chai ) Kento, who was on bar, is so friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable on all things coffee! With good work seating, outlets for charging, and ambiance, you gotta come check it out, even if you're not using the salon!

I absolutely love the coffee and pastries here. The awesome staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, offering delicious new recommendations and well prepared familiar favorites. Ideal place to stop if you are getting a service done inside the beautiful building or even if you have shopping to do in the center. Highly recommend

Such a cute coffee shop! Easy to find! We got the hug latte and salted maple latte and they were so good!!

My wife brought home a Jalapeño Bagel. It looked crispy and a good size but I would eat it the next day. The bagel was still crisp the next morning! It was flavorful. I like spicy but it wasn't. It had a great fresh Jalapeño taste. Imagine how it would taste the morning it was made. And looking at the menu, you can bet the others will be tried. Old school bagels at a hair salon. And great ones at that!My wife found the staff to be enthusiastic and helpful. She can hardly wait to get her hair done again.
