For such a small cafe it was surprising good. We had the French toast, breakfast burrito, chicken sausage sandwich and coconut coffee. They have 3 workers that were very kind and courteous. The fire place was nice and inviting. Overall it was a perfect small cafe at the best western.

Horrible customer service. Walked in for coffee and the workers were clearly bothered we walked in. My coffee order was messed up twice and the horrible attitude was not any better. I'd never come here again.

Unfortunately, during my recent visit, I only had two meals in Cafe Del Mar, breakfast and lunch. Loved the food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A lot of their food is prepackaged and heated (the exact same premade breakfast sandwiches you'll find at Starbucks but at double the price). The coffee was mediocre at best, the cinnamon roll I got was dry and pretty tasteless, and my wife's bacon and eggs were on par with Dennys. I gave this cafe 2 stars--rather than 1--because my breakfast sandwich was surprisingly tasty. So if you're already staying at the hotel and just don't want to go out for breakfast, get the build your breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel.

Cafe Del Mar is a lovely little spot for breakfast and coffee. The food was excellent and the service was great. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite especially if you're staying at the hotel.

This little cafe is located at the Best Western Premier Hotel. They serve breakfast and coffee, and early lunch, and dinner later after 5 PM.I came in for breakfast and had a breakfast burrito with ham, eggs, and some Pepper Jack Cheese that was in there somewhere. The breakfast burrito was okay. It could of been much better if they would not put more ham into it, or at the very least, chop it up and scramble it in with the eggs. There was just to much egg up front. Also, cheese was used quite sparingly. I could not even see it nor taste it. It should be melted through the burrito and visible to the naked eye. The flour tortilla needed to be warmed up better. I would recommend that they place it on the griddle to form a little crust on it. The fruit garnish was nice, and the drip coffee was good.Service was friendly, and if you are staying at the hotel, you receive a discount.

Located inside the Best Western in Del Mar. The cafe itself is super cute and small. There is seating outside which has a partial view of the ocean, which is very pretty. We only tried the breakfast items when we stayed at the Best Western. We got the veggie scramble with toast and the lox bagel sandwich along with a cappuccino. The lady serving was very sweet. The food itself was ok. The veggie scramble was a teeny bit dry and we would've liked some salt. The lox bagel sandwich was actually very good - cream cheese, onions, tomatoes, and salmon with capers is yum!! Cappuccino was interesting. Overall nice enough :)

The Best Western is a great hotel overall but I was left underwhelmed by the cafe-- the best part is the view on the outdoor patio, and the fireplace (see pictures). The service was friendly enough and I appreciated that they had non-dairy milk for coffee, but the food was super expensive and quite lacking. The coffee was burnt, and they gave me rock-hard cold butter for my barely-toasted english muffin. We didn't even use our second 15% off voucher given to us by the front desk at check-in, choosing to go somewhere else for breakfast the following morning. Pro tip, just ask for more Keurig k-cups for your room coffee maker (they are complimentary at the front desk) instead of purchasing coffee at the cafe.

Stayed at the Best Western Premiere hotel several times and visited Cafe Del Mar each time. About three months ago, we were here and I visited the Cafe specifically to get a jalapeño cheddar bagel, but unfortunately the last one was sold as I was in line. The cashier (male), laughed and told me the next time I'm here, order the night before so I can get it in the morning. I did exactly that last night. The female cashier took my order but was confused, however said ok. I offered to pay right then but she said no. Came in this morning and a tall man waited on me. I think he's the owner. He instantly reprimanded me and said that I cannot do it in the future. He continued to reprimand me while he got the order ready and acted if I was this awful nuisance. I explained that I was told to order the night before during my last visit. He couldn't be bothered which is fine. He was very rude and appeared so put off. He could have told me this in a much more polite way. Instead he said the cashier from the night before didn't know that she was not able to take pre-orders. Why is that my fault. Wouldn't it be better to train the cashier and instead be polite to the customer? I won't be eating there anymore simply because of his rude attitude.

Read the other reviews and this place has to be under new management because it was great! It is a little take away shop with a cool patio. The food was great, very fresh, and rivals what you get up the street for twice or three times the money. I noticed many locals stopping by for coffee on a cool August morning and it seemed like it was their routine. We split the breakfast burrito and a fruit plate. Both were incredible and fresh. I give five stars for our experience and food.
