Cafe 26 did deliver. We stopped in here for breakfast and I am happy we did. We ordered the SHAKSHUKA and it was wonderful. It was light and flavorful at the same time. This is my first time having this but not my last. The service was outstanding. It is a little spot so might have to show up early to get a seat.

disappointed that my salmon avo toast had an overly ripe avocado, not great quality salmon, no arugula (it was lettuce), and lackluster bread that didn't even taste toasted. I did enjoy my oat milk hazelnut latte.

Cafe 26 is a great last minute brunch find if you're looking to eat downtown. This restaurant is located near the downtown crossing T stop and there is usually little to no wait. The ambiance is medium casual and there's a wide variety of brunch options on the menu. The inside is a little crowded so I wouldn't recommend going in a group more than 3.The food quality is medium, but it's worth the price. I tried the chicken melt, which came with a side salad. I enjoyed the portion and the flavor was good with the aioli. My mocha latte tasted really good and there was really pretty art on top! Also, our waiter was really nice and service was really quick. Additionally, they take Apple Pay and can split the check easily.

I almost did not eat here, but I am so happy I did. The food was fantastic and the service was so fast! They offer a wide variety of breakfast items. They were a little expensive, but I found it to be worth it. My western omelette was so tasty and cheesy ( a must for an omelette). The pancakes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The potatoes came from a well seasoned grill! You can taste it. I was a little upset when they left the door open to air out the smoke from a burnt meal, it was 20 degrees out! I was freezing while I was eating. Besides this minute detail, I was very satisfied with my meal from this tiny eatery.

Not impressed. Pancakes were ok, a bit tougher than I like. Not fluffy, needed a knife to cut through them and you only get 1 container of smuckers fake syrup. Looks like they would have better sandwiches. One other downside to this experience, there was a rat outside our window. Yikes!

Great place! We were visiting from out of town and staying across the street. The first day we popped in hoping to get a quick on the go breakfast, and we weren't disappointed! The food was made quickly and we were able to get on our way. Everything was so fresh. Second day we came back to dine in and also had a great, filling meal. Service was excellent. Will go back if in the area!

Okay quality cafe near the Boston Common. I ordered the pancakes breakfast plate with ham and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes, eggs, and ham were all very standard quality - not bad but honestly I could've made those pretty easily myself. And it came with one of those little Smucker's breakfast syrup packets and a butter packet, which was a bit of a cheap look. $15 was a fair price. I also got a party cocktail smoothie ($7), which looked great from the description based on all the fruits and froyo that were blended in there. However, it ended up being too sweet and not that enjoyable. The cafe has a standard mid-quality cafe kind of environment. It has a decent amount of seating inside and is conveniently located near the Common. Our waiter was not particularly friendly though. The service speed was okay.Overall, Cafe 26 is very average quality. I wouldn't go out of your way to come here, but if you are looking for a casual brunch spot that will just do the job, you could stop by here.

My goal was to find a good breakfast spot while visiting Downtown Boston that offers tasty food and coffee but that would be filling enough since I was going to do a lot of walking.I was initially deciding between Café 26 and a breakfast spot across the street but saw that this café didn't have a wait which initially worried me because the spot across the street had a long wait. I'm so glad we gave it a try because this turned out to be a great spot. So good that we ate here for breakfast both days. There was no wait, and even if there is...people usually pop in and out pretty quickly. The first day I ordered the build your own omelette with a mocha latte. The following day I ordered the French toast with strawberries, Nutella, and whipped cream, and another mocha latte since I liked it so much. So pleased with my selections. Both days we didn't have to wait and we were in and out pretty quickly to continue our day strolling around Boston. This café is small but big enough to accommodate. Seemed very clean. The only complaint I had the first day was it was warm inside the restaurant because they don't typically run their AC and we went during a warm week. Other than that I have no complaints. The service was good. The café is in the middle of downtown, so not sure on the parking, but you would typically walk here. Good breakfast spot you should def check out.
