Small hole in the wall store selling mostly wine, beer, cigars and few Knick-knacks! I came looking for good Hefeweizen (wheat) beer which I found. Store is small, but staff is friendly and will likely have something of interest. Plenty of parking! What makes these guys unique is that if you are looking for a product which is not carried in store you can ask them to order it for you, and they will gladly help you with that! Now that is a great service and true local gem!

Was looking to fill my 128oz mini keg. Not from this part of town so a quick check of Yelp helped me locate this place. Saw pics on here indicating it's a growler filling station. Went over, walked in and guy behind the counter snapped at me that they don't fill growlers. There was a big sign behind him that said growler filling station, which I pointed to. He said they closed down the filling station last year due to Covid and advised there are no longer any other growler filling stations open in the area. What a disappointment. Fortunately, I found there are in fact plenty other places filling growlers so I took my business elsewhere.

This store is a precious gem. I've lived here over 25 years and the Cactus Food Market has been one of the absolute best additions to the Thomas and Hayden area. It brings this great neighborhood a truly unique and respectable selection of beer, and other harder to find items. Convenience and quality--need I say more?Ray, the owner, and his employees know their stuff. As a matter of fact, I call Ray my "beer curator" because I can tell him what I like and, presto! I have the quality liquid enjoyment that my fridge loves to hold. Ray has survived the recent road construction that blocked access to his store and now he's having to weather the wrath of Covid-19. Small businesses are going through hell and many won't make it through the pandemic. However, if there are any types of businesses and business owners that we NEED TO SUPPORT, Ray and his Cactus Food Market (one of the mack daddies of our local flavor) must be high on your list. Besides, enjoying a tasty beer, while knowing that you are doing the right thing, just makes a great brew taste better and life a wee bit sweeter.

I love this place. Great corner-store vibe with an excellent craft beer selection, wine, pipes, cigars, snacks, growler fills, etc. etc. The guys who work there are super friendly. I love supporting this store and hope others do too!!

We looked everywhere for Shipyard Pumpkinhead beer (as a NH native in AZ was missing it this fall) including BevMo and Total Wine. Finally stumbled on an app that led us here and they carried it and said they always carry it! So happy and they carry so many different unique beers. Definitely check here if you're looking for something specific!

I don't normally review corner markets, but I have to here. They have build your own 6 packs of craft beer for 8.99! They also have their own growlers of rotating craft beer which you can refill and buy the growler bottle there . Great selection of cigars and cigar boxes as well. Love the back corner which has some nice to tobacco pipes. Every ting is iry! :) If you need some good beer go to cactus and the dude behind the corner is awesome! Such a great guy who is super nice.

This place is amazing. I moved to AZ from Philly and didn't think there would be a very strong beer scene here. The Cactus mart proved me wrong. Ray, the owner is very knowledgeable about beer, breweries, styles, etc. He always has something new to recommend based on what he remembers me buying in the past. This place has build your own six packs of great beers for $8.99, a great bomber selection, the best six pack selection in Scottsdale (including Total Wine/Bevmo, etc.), a stellar cigar selection, and a fantastic vibe. I stop here on my way home from work a couple times a week and would highly recommend it to any craft beer lover.

I've never had a worse encounter with a store owner ever. Ray was extremely rude and never offered anything positive or helpful to say. Small craft selection is not worth the way he treats his customers. Plenty of better stores to visit with much bigger selections.
