Finally!!! A Mezcalaria with Oaxacan food in Redmond. Just opened today and I couldn't wait to check it out. This is what used to be Eastside Beerworks. Now, as much as I loved hanging out at Eastside Beerworks, I'm just incredibly thrilled that this is now a Mezcalaria with amazing cocktails and mind blowing Oaxacan food. They are in the soft opening stage, but they had everything we wanted on the menu. They have another location in Snoqualmie under the name of Caadxi Oaxaca. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Made us feel at home as soon as we stepped in. Shout out to David for accommodating our drink customizations and checking on us from time to time. They have a big menu of a ton of exotic items. Lots of vegan and vegetarian friendly options. We started with the Caadxi Margarita and the Guanabana Mezcalina. The Guanabana (Soursop!) wasn't exactly what we thought it would be. The fruit itself doesn't have much flavor. David was gracious to swap it for a Mango Mezcalina. We ordered a bunch of shareables. The Sopitos Oaxaqueno - was WOW! Tiny tostadas, with mole sauce, plantains (yes!), guacamole and Queso. The sweetness of the plantain, the earthiness of the mole and the freshness of the guacamole were a perfect medley of flavors. The chili relleno, as a side, comes without the rice and beans. A great option if you want to skip the carbs! The chili was perfectly breaded and fried on a bed of delicious tomato sauce! The third one we ordered was Rajas Con Creama - poblano peppers, corn, onion, melted gooey queso served warm with freshly fried tortilla chips. It's kind of like the spinach and artichoke dip but with a Mexican twist. The chips were too good! I'm not a fan of the ones that look and taste like they came out of a bag from a grocery store. This was made in house, upon order and brought out warm and fresh. Everything was beyond amazing. There's a lot more we want to try. So, we'll definitely be back. So should you. Go give this new business some love!

I was so excited to see Caadxi Mezcaleria pop up here in Redmond. We've frequented Caadxi Oaxaca in Snoqualmie for years, so nice to have them within walking distance of our house. The interior has been really well done - such a great spot to hang out. Food and margaritas are amazing. Staff is wonderful. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Sorry but this was really not good :( We were pretty suspicious when we saw a Mexican menu mixed with American BBQ items and wondered right away if it was just a rebrand from the previous BBQ restaurant? There were some other suspicious signs like 1 single item on a large menu that contained lamb (not a great sign for fresh sourced ingredients). I highly doubt anything here is made in house but if it is they're certainly not preparing it fresh. Our food came out way too fast for it to have been made fresh. We ordered nachos with shredded chicken (that arrived at the same time as our main less than 10 minutes after we ordered) and when it first arrived we noticed there was no chicken. They took it away and brought out the same plate with steaming chicken piled on top 2 minutes later, clearly straight from the microwave. And at that point the melted cheese from the original plate was totally cold. Beyond the fact that everything appeared microwaved, even the basics were missed. Our main dish lacked seasoning and the nachos were severely lacking in cheese. Tons of chips left over with no toppings. Not expecting too much here - fresh melted cheese on nachos is a bare minimum. The bar was interesting - one of our drinks was great, one was nearly undrinkable. Service was super friendly and the location is great so I had really high hopes but this place was a major flop for us - even worse that it was prime time dinner hour on a Friday. Bummer.

Went there for a few drinks and a snack. Drinks are excellent. Service was great. We sat at the bar and were serviced immediately. The chips were nice, freshly made, and crispy! Loved the guacamole and the fresh pico de gallo. Will definitely be back to try some of the tacos for dinner/lunch some time.I did try the guanabana margarita as well! It was good, but I preferred the Cadillac flavor with the fresh citrus! I'm a huge fan of limes. :)I love seeing this place busy! Hope the service level and quality sticks!

Came in with a big group and no reservations. The team set up a row of tables and took good care of everyone. Food is good and so are the drinks!

We LOVED this place! Got the chicken mole and a tamale and both were outstanding. Staff is very friendly and responsive. There is a distinct sense of pride put into the place, the recipes, and the service.

Overall, the food was good. I mostly liked their chips and guacamole and the ceviche. Very tasty. Went with a group of 8 and the one issue we had was slow service. Took a bit of time to get our order and to get our food. I had the enchilada verde and it was good, but not the best I've had. The tortilla was a bit tougher than I like as I'm used to a softer shell that I can easily cut into. Not a bad place to go with a small group and hang out at the bar. They also have seating outside which is nice to have on a warm day. There is a parking garage as well as parking on the street out front so not difficult to find parking.

After seeing that there was a new Mexican restaurant in Redmond, I had to try. Overall, I found the food to be exceedingly average. Perhaps it's because I like my Mexican food to be very well seasoned but I thought my enchiladas were a little bland. However, the service was efficient and friendly and the vibe inside was cozy. I'm hoping these are just growing pains of a new place and am willing to try them again in the future, maybe for happy hour.

Saturday lunch. Seated ourselves in the bar. Quickly greeted and drink order taken. Margaritas served in tumblers. My Cadillac margarita had little grand Marnier in it, could not really taste it. Server came back to take food order. I ordered "Mole Rojo," which offered choice of pork or chicken. I specified pork. Food arrived, nachos and tacos for the others in my party. They were good. My Mole tasted fine but was only lukewarm. It also was not pork. I ate a couple bites but was not sure it was chicken until a thigh bone popped up. I caught the server next time he came by and let him know and he said he'd take it off the bill. Why he didn't offer to remake it I don't know, maybe they didn't HAVE pork. I had a little more as it was OK even if not hot and not the pork I had ordered. Bill did not include the mole so got that right. Anyway, not wowed and the error bothered me so not sure we'll go back.
