Buttermilk & Bourbon

Delicious!!! Visited Boston for a girls trip and was so glad to get reservations here for breakfast. Interior is very cute and cozy. I ordered the spiked iced coffee and loved it. It was sweet but still strong. I also tried the frozen coffee which I found to be stronger. We shared the biscuits as an app. It came with 4 huge biscuits and 2 butters, a cheese one and brown sugar one. The cheese one was our favorite.All breakfast dishes were delicious as well and very filling.One downside is parking. We came on a Sunday morning and couldn't find anything for a while.

This was my first time in Boston and it was a Sunday. I decided I wanted to have a great brunch so I saw this location and when I went in they had availability so my husband and I decided to grab a table and enjoy our food. Well, I must say this location had the best French toast and grits and even the eggs was amazing if I go back to Boston, I will definitely be going back to buttermilk and Bourbon.. As for the service, our waiter was great. The kitchen was about to close off for brunch so we had to put in our order if we wanted food from the brunch menu one thing I could say is that when your food is ready, they will bring it out, so my husband's food came out before my own and then my food came out maybe 5 to 8 minutes later Which was a little weird but it was OK because the food taste amazing so I'll give them a pass for that.As you can see from my photos, the ambience was great. It had like a New Orleans feeling so the decor definitely was nice overall I would definitely go to buttermilk and bourbon again and if you are in the Boston area, I definitely suggest that you check them out.

Had to stop by Chef Jason's spot it's been awhile and hasn't disappointed! Parking is always a pain but we snagged a spot off newbury street and walked over since comm ave in this area is all residential ! Love the decor, the staff was very nice and accommodating.We got the alligator fries which had great flavor (wish it was a bit hotter temp wise), finished that plate though. Whatever the sauce is melds well and the crispy fritter bits on top help with texture in contrast with the saucy fries. Thoroughly loved the flavor profile though scrumptious!The BBQ shrimp reminded me of a gumbo plate. We did have a small temp issue as that dish came out mildly warm and the house made it right expediently and the re-fired or heated plate came out perfectly hot and tasty! Thank you for that, the lady was happy. A+ service ! Ofc we also needed to have them beignets, loved it, flaky light and crispy.The fried chicken thighs were great crispy and hot. I probably personally would do sauce on the side next time but we opted for the sweet and spicy style, it was good but at moments overwhelming haha but now i know for my personal taste, dip on side probably best for meWill come back and support as well as try Chef Jason's other spots!

This is a tapas style restraunt. Food came out hot and delicious. The thighs were crispy. We asked for sauce on the side.Brie was hot. The pan it came in was hot, too.The ribs fell off the bone with Cajun seasoningWe had reservationsfor 5pm anf it was a good t I me. They were not super busy yet.By 6, they were packed.The restrauntis a great place to take a date..A great place if you want a night on the town.

Decent food, interior is well decorated with a NOLA flare. Gets really busy on weekends so I recommend making a reservation if possible. I rec the honey butter biscuits, those were so fire.

I went to this restaurant back in July when I visited for a business meeting in Boston, and what a hidden treasure! The overall ambiance was very moody and intimate, perfect place to grab dinner and drinks with friends or for a date night. They were packed when I went, so the service was kind of slow but understandably so because everything was absolutely delicious. I had the smashed cocktail which was really tasty, remnant of a strawberry lemonade with BOURBON and I had the Mac and Cheese, which came with pork belly scraps and hot Cheeto dust sprinkled on top! It was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend to anyone in the Boston area and I'd love to come back and try something else next time.

Indulgent, delicious food! Great for sharing and trying a little bit of each.- Fried chicken was excellent. Hot, crispy, and generously coated in Nashville dry rub (there are other rub/sauce options too)- Watermelon cucumber salad was a refreshing addition, although strange to have an Asian inspired dish there.- Biscuits were a must! And you can try them with pimento cheese spread and/or cinnamon butter. - Bottomless fries for $8 with a delicious truffle ailoi- Mussels were good but would probably try other menu items instead Surprisingly has a lot more space inside than expected with both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors but I felt like I was getting bit by little mosquitos or gnats. Service was a little slow.

Buttermilk & Bourbon was our first dinner spot in Boston! Their fall specialty drink, the Pecan Praline Old Fashioned, was absolutely phenomenal --smooth, rich, and the perfect blend of sweet and strong. The Chicken Sliders were absolutely delicious the right amount of crispyness, I love that it was paired with green tomatoes. We chose to sit outside on a breezy Sept night and it was a cozy intimate vibe! Friendly and attentive service!

A cute spot for brunch, and I'd love to come again for dinner! It was well decorated, and we tried the Warm Honey Glazed Biscuits (100/5 so good and I want to learn to make these), Chicken and Waffles (5/5 with the waffles being such a great flavor), and Cinnamon French Toast (4/5). Delicious!

We have been thinking of trying Buttermilk & Bourbon for some time now and today, we were able to make it out to Commonwealth Ave to see what they're about!Love the aesthetic inside, it's definitely giving NOLA vibes in here... RUE BOURBON ;) We tried a little bit of everything for lunch today. Started off with the Nashville hot alligator fries ($15), sweet & spicy buttermilk fried boneless chicken thighs ($14), nola bbq shrimp ($15), & fresh fried beignets with chocolate ($10). Everything was flavorful and tasty. One thing I would like to comment on is the temperature of some of the dishes; I do enjoy my food hot so when food arrives warm-ish cold, it leads me to believe that they are just warming up food that has already been prepared in advance. The alligator fries & bbq shrimp both were not hot but our server was kind enough to send it back to make sure it's hot. Even though I could taste that it was seasoned well & yummy, it was definitely a game changer when the food came back hot. The sweet and spicy chicken was delicious! Piping hot (thank gosh!) and was definitely one of my favorites from this meal. The beignets were perfect. Light, fluffy, & crispy goodness. I would definitely come back again to get these two items. Keep in mind for if you go here, everything is family style portion, meant for sharing. Parking: This side of Commonwealth Ave is residential parking for the most part. You may have to circle around Newbury & Boylston, maybe check side streets, to find some parking. There's meter parking & garage/lot nearby. Conclusion: I'm not sure if I would come back soon, but if I do, I'd probably swing by, if in the mood, for some buttermilk fried chicken or just beignets & some drinks.
