Burger Deck

I'm actually glad I don't live near this place. I would be there everyday and would clearly shorten my life. But this may be the best smash burger in San Diego right now as of May 2024. Thin crispy patties and fresh bread with dijonaisse and other condiments on my burger? Sold! Their sides are delicious and you can choose from a variety like truffle fries or onion rings. The counter service is always on point. Courteous while being chatty enough that we feel welcome. They also cover all of the options for your food if you have questions. The deck itself is covered by umbrellas over each table and overlooks San Diego and the airport. The restaurant is on the second floor above Rubicon but parking can be an issue as there is metered parking Monday through Saturday.

Well....i probably would've enjoyed what I actually ordered but what she rang up and gave me was completely different. My fault I didn't notice the mistake before I started eating. It was kinda gross and the onion rings were way too greasy. I'll pass on this place the next time.

This is a really cool spot! There is plenty of space on the "deck" with impressive views of the planes taking off from the airport. We ordered their "The Deck" burger which was topped with two smashburger patties, tomatoes, lettuce, onion and their "dijonaise" sauce. Overall, the smashburger was good. The sauce added some great flavor to the burger. We also ordered their truffle fries to share. They have a sauce station where you can get up to 4 different sauces (Ketchup, Ranch, Chipotle, and a Cilantro Lime Ranch I think?). I loved having the unlimited sauce option available. The truffle fries were good, but were a bit too salty. Service was decent. Parking can be challenging in the area - depending on the time and day you visit.

I saw this place on tik tok and was excited to go. I don't understand the good reviews. We ordered 2 burgers. LITERALLY both burgers were BURNT to a crispt and dry. The fries were ok. No flavor. I was just expecting more.. super disappointed. Service was good thought why 2 stars instead of 1.

Food Was Amazing And Customer Service Was A Plus. Highly Recommend Would Go Back For More.

Awesome experience! Got the dirty deck and Baja deck, onion rings and dirty fries. Food was great, service was great, the onion rings?!? Fantastic gimme 14 of em. I went back to get more onion rings these are the crispiest I have ever had, not crunchy crispy. The burgers were good, the buns I don't know what they did but they were CRISPY like sinking into them was a delight of texture. They toasted the buns the way I wish my toaster would toast anything idk how they did it I'm tempted to just order a plain toasted bun. Felt like the Baja could've used avocado but solid. Overall super good and will definitely be back for the onion rings, and the great view from the deck!

This place has some delicious burgers and fries . Overall I'll give it a 8.5/10 just because the wait . overall this place offers a small menu but everything on the menu in my opinion is going to be a good pick . The fries are super thin and cooked really really good !The staff is cool they have chipotle aioli , cilantro ranch , ketchup , regular ranch pumps on the side as dips . Definitely coming back when I'm on this side of town .

The dirty fries are amazing!!! It is definitely a must get item here! They specialize in burgers but these fries were the star of the show!! We for two BBQ deck burgers, both were amazing and the bun was so soft! The smash burger was good, I would recommend getting a double if you're really hungry! Service is fast and everyone was nice :) The patio seating was a great plus, especially during sunset! Would come again! Also, the different sauce options is a MAJOR PLUS!!
