Buona - Skokie

I recently visited this Buona Beef and Rainbow Cone location and had an exceptional experience. The Italian beef sandwiches at Buona Beef are absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The service was fast and friendly, making it a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.Rainbow Cone was the perfect way to end our visit. Their iconic multi-layered ice cream cone is a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. The brownie sundae was massive, delightful and refreshing, especially on a warm day.Overall, both Buona Beef and Rainbow Cone offer top-notch food and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Food is great in portion and taste. Service is amazing and quick Place is real chill plenty of space so you don't feel rushed to eat quickly.

Good fast food beef sandwich is delish. Love the fries, most of all love the rainbow cake.I live close by and it is very easy to pick it up FAST!

I got the beef bites and they were okay, I do wish there was more meat inside, next time I'd probably get a sandwich. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised that there was a vegetarian sandwich option of a "beef sandwich" made with seitan. A rainbow cone at the end of our meal was the perfect treat!

05/27/23 - Today was was here twice for National Beef Day. Buona beef provided thousands of beef sandwiches. I came in the afternoon & got a beef w/hot peppers. The peppers were combined w/carrots, cauliflower, & celery. The flavoring was excellent w/a very strong infusion of garlic. This beef sandwich was excellent as I'm a huge garlic fan of garlic - 5 StarsI came back later w/my wife that evening so she could get her beef sandwich. Sadly she got a plain beef w/sweet peppers. I'm not sure if the garlicky flavor came from the hot peppers but this sandwich was sadly lacking. There was no garlic flavor on her sandwich & while tasty was lacking. This beef was very average 3 stars. Since I had a beef earlier I ordered a protein bowl. The picture of the meal looked good w/sliced avocado & chicken slices over a SOGGY bed of spinach w/cherry tomatoes, diced red pepper & melted cheese. I'm not really sure what the hell it was but I would NEVER order that again. It was terrible - 1 Star for a soggy in tasty Protein Bowl. Kudos to Buona Beef for a very generous promotion on National Beef Day. They gave away thousands of beef sandwiches at all of their locations 5 STARS, but unfortunately the balance of what we ordered only came up as 3 stars Excellent beef garlicky w/spicy peppers (5 Stars) Mediocre beef w/sweet pepper lacking the garlic flavor (3 Stars Protein Bowl was just downright disgusting (1 Star). Best of both worlds. I ordered my usual Buona Beef with sweet & hot peppers. Never disappoints! You can also grab an Original Rainbow Cone at select locations. Solid duo! Buona is the best in Chicago!

The wife and I stopped by here for a 10K, and while we originally came here for the rainbow cone, after seeing the menu, I was excited to see they had a plant-based option. I got the Italian Beefless Sandwich with red sauce and a side of Side Hot Giardiniera. I wish I had ordered a side of red sauce as there was only red sauce on the top, and after the first bite, there wasn't any for any of the other bites. My wife had the Buona Beef Bites, and while they were good, she could feel some of the giardiniera heat; I enjoyed my sandwich, but I would not order it for pick up or delivery unless you get the sauce on the side as the sandwich would get soggy. The rainbow cones were delicious, and I'm glad I upgraded mine to the waffle cone. The only downside is the holder they gave me was meant for a regular cone, not a waffle cone, so half the cone was out of the holder, and the waffle cone was falling out of it.

Pleasantly surprised by how well this establishment runs. Food is great, and staff are so friendly! I loved their giardiniera pizza, loved how the cheese was toasted so well, who would've thought that this combo worked so well! Their pumpkin spice latte shake was also soo good, not overpowering or artificial tasting at all. Thick and creamy, lightly fragrant. The rainbow cone was not only pretty but the flavor adjacents were stacked very well. The price are actually all so very reasonable for the quantity and quality it provides. I'd definitely come back to try their cheesy Italian beef and other icecream flavors like blue sky and s'more!

Yum yum YUM! It's been years since I had Buona Beef and it was just as good (if not better) than I remember. I got an Italian Beef w/mozz & sweet peppers lightly dipped and wow! The bread stayed in tact, there was plenty of beef, cheese & peppers! The fries were piping hot! They weren't oily & they were the perfect crispiness. My sig other tried the plant based version and he said it was ok, just a bit on the salty side.

Always friendly and professional stuff. Love their vegan bowl with cheese. Nice place definitely recommend
