Buck's American Bar & Grill

One of my new favorites in the Everett area. The photo was taken before the evening crowd, so it looks quiet but they get a nice crowd for happy hour and dinner. I like the atmosphere and the food is excellent! I've had the meatloaf and fish and chips so far. Both were very good! I'm a fish and chip fan and although I've only lived in WA 4 yrs, it's top 1 or 2 I have had since living here. It's halibut and the batter is light and crispy without being very greasy. I will be back often for that! Meatloaf was also excellent! I have gone solo, so the recent addition of a TV is much appreciated. I enjoy watching hockey or whatever while stopping in. Menu looks great, so I look forward to working my way through it on my future visits!

Food was so good!! Pork was juicy and seasoned well. The fries were so perfect!! Green beans were crisp tender. Hubby loved his meatloaf. The tots were meh. The appetizer prawns were perfectly breaded and delicious. Service was great and attentive.

What a great, cozy, friendly and vital restaurant. This is the premier classic good continental restaurant in downtown Everett. Every time we have amazing service, drinks, food and atmosphere. The chicken Parmesan is fantastic and they really know how to cook a steak. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes. They have seasonal specials and a live musician every Wednesday. Don't sleep on Buck's!

I came here on Sunday and they were serving brunch. I did not realize that though it was all good. I saw Reuben on the regular menu and wanted to have that here, but the brunch menu was equally interesting. I decided on the sasquatch sandwich which was quite a brilliant take on brunch food. It was basically chicken fried steak minus the gravy, fried egg, bacon and cheese on brioche bun. Instead of fries and salad as you would usually get for lunch or dinner, it was served with country potatoes and fruits.The food was delicious and the two slices of bacon which came with it were a generous size. No skinny bacon here. The place was pretty busy and they seemed understaffed. Just be patient and someone will come along shortly. If I am in Everett area again, I will try other food here.Free street parking in the area.

Buck's is an Everett institution at this point. Smaller, intimate space. I always love the vibe of an old Everett building with exposed brick and this place does just that. I have gone here for dinner several times including a birthday celebration. For my birthday, they actually had flowers for me on the table to take home. What a special touch. Sizzling steak is my favorite entree, just be careful because it will splatter on you and it does sting a little. Always cooked to perfection. Cocktails are solid, desserts are amazing, service is great.

I've reviewed Bucks before, each time w excellent reviews. I know the restaurant changed hands a few years ago and I was wondering if anything has changed. I can say I like it at least as much as before. The quality and value is outstanding. Last night I dined there with 2 friends intending to order the halibut and chips because it's the best "fish and chips" I've ever tasted. I believe it's a beer type batter and it is cooked to perfection. The batter is crispy and light not grease soaked like some places. The halibut is very moist and beautiful. I didn't know but on Fridays they serve prime rib so last night I picked prime rib instead of my usual halibut and chips. The prime rib was outstanding, I got the baked potato with everything although the photo doesn't show the everything on it yet. It came with a creamy horseradish sauce, fantastic aujus and it was just amazing. Also included is a picture of the hot seafood salad. I tried this recently and it was surprisingly excellent. Hot seafood salad didn't sound appetizing to me, but another diner was raving about it to me and I decided to try it and it was quite good. Very rich but delicious. For dessert we shared a slice (plenty big) of the peanut butter pie, which is to die for. The servers are all very helpful and efficient, last night Amanda waited on us, and she was superb. I just found out they offer brunch on Sundays and Eggs Benedict is on the menu. That is one of my favorite dishes when prepared the right way. I am looking forward to trying it next Sunday!

So I don't eat a lot of meat and my husband loves meat lol so we have a hard time finding restaurants we BOTH will be happy with!!!For his birthday we decided to try this new restaurant .It was nice calm and cozy and clean! our waitress was very nice and helpful and answered our questions My husband ordered a meat dish I never heard of and I ordered a veggie burger and to be honest I'm SO tired of them I was not excited but OMG OMG it was the best veggie burger I've had in my 47 years and that says a LOT!!!!!!My husband liked his meat dinner We also got two beers and both were good.We never get dessert but after such a good dinner we decided to get my husband favorite " cheesecake """ yummy !!!!Ok I have to say this was my favorite dinner is a long time.......And now I'm happy to say we have a restaurant we BOTh can get good food and leave happy and that never happens!!!He just told me he wants to go on a Friday they have a steak special Also they told us they make all their own veggie burger and sauce and other stuff! Can't wait to go back again

Visited this place during a business trip. Found it on Yelp and gotta say, place is very much worth 5+ stars. Service is awesome although busy, our waitress was excellent and knows how to manage and multi-task. Very friendly and attentive with refills and anything else we needed. We ordered clams to share, they were very tasty, I had an awesome salad and Chilean sea bass that was perfectly seasoned and served on a skillet. The restaurant is in a very old historic building. Very coy and clean.

Don't judge a book by its cover really applies to Buck's. from the outside it is easy to miss and looks like a hole in the wall, but as soon we walked in we were greeted by the host and quickly seated at our table (we made a reservation ahead of time via the Yelp app). everyone was super friendly and we quickly settled into drinks and dinner.1) Smoked halibut - this was so good. perfectly cooked fish over rice and vegies with a decadent sauce and comes out with the glass dome containing the smoke. dinner and a show and gave the fish a perfect amount of smoke. I would definitely order this again!2) Crab stuffed salmon - this was also good. huge piece of salmon stuffed with a crab medley and fried to a perfect crispiness while maintaining its juiciness.3) BBQ bison meatloaf. buffalo meatloaf wrapped in crispy bacon and topped with a fantastic bbq sauce. what more do you want?! the only thing I did not like is the mashed potatoes. it is more on the drier side than I prefer.4) Chocolate peanut butter pie - talk about a huge slice of pie. loved the chunks of peanuts in it. good contrast between the cold pie, hot fudge, peanuts....mmmm.5) Peach creme brulee - this was good. had a hint of peach, but otherwise your typical brulee. If they added a small pile of diced peaches on the side it could have really pushed this to being really good.Overall I would highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!

BUYER BEWARE! If you are a group of 7 or more you will pay for it at BUCKS! AFTER our meal and as the bills were handed to us we were told of the 20% gratuity, per ticket, for our "LARGE PARTY" was required. The LUNCH meals at our table consisted of dip sandwiches with tater tots, fish and chips salads and turkey sandwiches. This was NOT a 6 course meal with linen table cloths, table service for a banquet, OR even a lit candle! The tipping/gratuity grabbing in our areas is getting OUTRAGEOUS! Gratuity and tips are for a job well done, service above and beyond what is expected, AND AT THE CUSTOMER'S DISCRETION!!!!! We won't be back!
