We came on a Saturday just before 3pm and it was fairly busy. The ordering process was easy and quick. They have three ordering stations: bistro, shuck your own shellfish, and deli and market with cold raw fish. We ordered from the bistro, which consists of cooked food.We ordered fried oysters, steamed clams, clam linguine, kale caesar and the chowder. Food was great and staff was friendly. Everything was highly salted. I don't usually mind, but about halfway through the clams, it became overpowering and I could have done without it. I'd love to try the halibut and chips next, everyone said it's great!

Located on Buck Bay on Orcas Island, this place has awesome ambiance. We stumbled upon this seafood centric restaurant while exploring. Ample parking. I would give it 5 stars, if they were more careful shucking oysters. I ordered a dozen and a cold beer. Most of my oysters had shell in them. Slow down for better quality. They also have fish and chips, chowders, etc that all looked delish. They're kid friendly and, more importantly, dog friendly.

We came to Buck Bay shellfish farm for our last lunch on the island before returning to Seattle, and it was such a delicious treat! We got there a little early, so walked around a bit and saw some oyster farmers shucking oysters right at the bay. You can't get more farm to table than that!! All the staff were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them while waiting for our food. Every thing we ordered was super fresh and delicious, so much so that we decided to order another steamed clams.

Absolutely delicious. Everything was insanely fresh! We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Our least favorite item was the Mac and cheese and the only complaint was that it wasn't hot enough. It came out just warm and therefore the cheese wasn't as creamy as we could have hoped but it had a great flavor still. The star of the show was the crab plate. The crab was fresh, sweet and succulent. The warm butter was not even needed but a nice treat on the side. The silent surprise for us was the raw oysters- they were super plump and on the big side so we expected them to not be as delicious. However we were extremely shocked. They were creamy, velvety and sweet. Crab cakes were meaty and delicious with fun flavors. The steamed clams were delightful as well. Perfectly steamed with lord of garlic and sauce and a nice chunk of bread to soak up the extra goodness. The halibut ceviche was beyond fresh and my only complaint was I wish there was more. Really enjoyed it with the fresh corn tortilla chips. The halibut fish and chips were seasoned to perfection. Halibut is not the oiliest fish so it was a little dry but the seasoning more than made up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed the zucchini fries too. Honestly, when we pulled up we were shocked at how busy the place was. But when we left we understood why. This is definitely a must to visit when I'm the area and we will return on our next visit. We were not disappointed at all and was our best meal on the island. Including the cider on tap!

We got there right on time around 3:30 I think. We walked straight into the store and only had to wait in line for 4 minutes. After us the line just kept on growing and growing. The fish and chips were so tasty and not like the traditional ones covered in thick layer of batter which I liked. We all agreed the salad was yummy and had plenty of dressing. It's was a little noisy but it's outdoors so it wasn't that bad.Definitely don't miss out on it if you're visiting orcas! Worth the drive.Fish and Chips Halibut Ceviche

We heard such great things about this place, that we had to drive out of our way to sample it. It was really busy for one of the first nice June weekend days. They have lots of outdoor picnic and casual chair types of seating. Only one bathroom, so be prepared for a long line. You stand in line to place your order, and then they bring it out to you when ready. They had several gluten-free options listed on their menu, so our friends decided to share a few of them with us to try them out. We had the ceviche and chips, which unfortunately were not very good. We left them mostly untouched. The clams were delicious; the sauce they were served in was particularly tasty. My other gf buddy and I had a trio of tacos, all of which were quite tasty. His wife and the gluten loving husband of mine had fish n chips and Mac n cheese. We couldn't sample them, but they said they were cooked well, just really underseasoned. The setting is really lovely with the beautiful outdoor space and fresh seafood. Food was overall good but just a bit too bland on some of the dishes, and it was very pricey.

As with every other review you'll see - this is a MUST VISIT!! The oysters are delicious, but so are the other items on the menu! There are so many options to choose from so - bring a friend or two and try them all! We loved the oysters, island roll, and Mac & Cheese. We also got a Kale Caesar which was very standard but felt like it'd be important to balance our meal with some greens!

Cute spot right next to where they harvest shellfish, delicious oysters and brisket. I was surprised how good the brisket was. Better than almost any bbq joint I've had in Wa. Great service by staff as well. My boys enjoyed looking at the live tanks that held the seafood.

Prices are robbery. It's a tourist trap for sure. I got the salad looking at someone else's salad and the quantity was huge but when we got ours it looked like there was literally just a handful of lettuce... and I paid $8 for that?! Oysters were not bad and for the oysters price was reasonable. However, the steamed clams were like $25+ and definitely not the best clams I've had... very mediocre and underwhelming. A little too heavy on the seasoning and really spicy for some reason that I couldn't even taste the flavor of the clams. The garlic bread (though super teeny tiny small) was very good and nice crunch. Would I come back? Only if I was in the area and probably only for the oysters because everything else will break the bank.

We dined at the Buck Bay Shellfish Farm. The halibut salad was amazing. The dressing was so delicious. The view was perfect. We are going back tomorrow
