As one of the closer boba options to the Tacoma Dome, Bubbles can hit the spot. However, there's a lack of quality check, evident with the boba in particular. It's simply inconsistent. In our three drinks with boba, one was perfect in chewiness but the other two were undercooked so the center was firm. Because of this inconsistency, I'm a bit disappointed but that discrepancy shows me how good Bubbles could be (and how bad). Bonus points for decent location though. To order, you begin with a tea base, add any flavors, and top with toppings. Seems simple enough.Hot Red Bean Milk Tea w/ Boba - this drink had amazing boba. Perfectly chewy. I do think the drink being hot may have helped, but the difference in boba was night and day. Red bean was strong and creamy, just a bit sweet. I'd adjust the sugar but would definitely be inclined to order this drink again.Taro Milk Tea w/ Boba - boba was undercooked but still edible. Taro was creamy and not too sweet. Pretty typical drink with the nutty and vanilla-like taste of taro root.Black Tea w/ Boba - there was some miscommunication with black milk tea but oh well. It's just slightly sweetened black tea. Not super strong and maybe a bit watered down, but refreshing at the same time. I wouldn't ever order this (straight tea with boba) but it was still a refreshing drink.

I'm sure they're trying their best but our drinks were very watered down. Just not good. They also put a lot less boba than they used to. I went almost a year ago and quality has gone down. The store is cute and obviously they put a lot of work into decorations. They also seem understaffed which is bad for workers and customers. I miss the nice lady we had last time we went I think she was the owner.

I usually love it here ! But I'm not sure if the tapioca was too big this time , since none could fit the straw they gave me . I enjoyed drinking my Pom smoothie with tapioca and aloe jellies . The jellies and flavor was perfect but my tapioca was all at the bottomNot able to sip through my straw . I still ate them and happily enjoyed the pearls after my drink was finished . Just wish I could of enjoyed them together!

I'd recommend this place but it comes with a bumper sticker ya'll - little bit expensive. They served me pretty fast though. 5 stars. Stay cool.

Review based on one drink- classic milk tea with boba large. Tea is bulk made, taste fine. Not amazing. Boba is fresh, though you can taste they don't marinade the boba in brown sugar/honey as much or as long as other places do. Value- Price is standard, large $4.78 after tax. Location- across from the court house/ old union station. They have seating facing the street and the courthouse which is nice. Recommend- if you want a boba fix, I don't see anywhere else to go around us. Nothing amazing, but it does the trick.

Pretty good flavor! Not the best texture I've had for a blended tea but overall a good experience

I came here since hubby was picking up jimmy john's. Got pretty good reviews. I got overwhelmed by the choices so decided to stick to iced milk tea with boba. I always get scared that it will be too sweet and I won't want to drink it despite paying an arm and a leg for the boba drink. Anyway I asked for less sweet and I saw her put more black tea on top of premixed milk tea. It looked dark and I though great it's not going to taste good... was I wrong! It was perfect!!!!! Fresh boba Third time here I got taro milk tea, asked for less sweet with boba. It was still little sweet for me and this time boba was not fresh... or it was not super soft. I think I will stick to iced milk tea, no additional flavors and hope for fresher boba next time

All of us enjoyed our drinks from Bubbles. It wasn't perfect, but we received great and fast service from the staff.

This place is not nearly as good as it was before it was sold. Used to be my favorite bubble tea shop anywhere run by the sweetest and friendliest lady out there. The new guy who runs it is great, but the teenagers he has there when he's not are terrible. I've seen them frequently paying more attention to their phones or side conversations than to even minor customer service. The tea tastes the same as ever, but it's far more expensive than it used to be. I wouldn't say it's still worth it to go here. If you do, don't trust their hours or open sign. Most recently went in before closing with the open sign on and door unlocked and the teens decided they were closed after all while I was deciding.

Understaffed but you can tell they're trying their best- staff is very friendly! It took quite a while (15-20 minutes) for me to get my order of 2 small drinks, but the parlor had very nice decorations to look at in the meantime and lots of advertisements for local events which was very helpful since I am visiting. Big downside was the long wait time, since even though I was at the very front of the line and had only 2 small drinks it took so long to get them. Drinks themselves were ok, very sweet so if you like very sweet tea then it's good. Don't get the whipped cream. A bit watered down, probably better to order the hot teas!
