We had tickets to a play at the American Blues Theater and chose BryAnna's for a pre-theater dinner because it is just a few doors down. It was a very inviting atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly. Would definitely do this again!

We dined for the first time at Bryanna's prior to a recent weeknight performance at nearby American Blues Theatre. It was an interesting and not unpleasant experience.VIBE: The dining room seemed dark and cavernous, and since it was a nice evening, so we sat on the patio behind the building, adjacent to a alley. Not much ambiance. Could not get to the restrooms from the patio; had to go around the building to the front door.SERVICE: Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. It could help to speak Spanish here. I speak a little, and was able to converse to some degree with our server, who didn't have much English. After a short while, a man fluent in English came on duty. Food came out at a decent pace.FOOD: I had pechuga de pollo, a lemony grilled breast; I liked it. My companion had a vegetarian combo, which included a papusa, beans, rice, sweet plantain, and a salad; they judged it OK, though the papusa was not as good as others they'd had. There is a very limited selection of wines by the glass; those I tried were simple, enjoyable and food-friendly.I'd come back if I were in the neighborhood for a play at American Blues. The people were nice, the food was OK, and it's quite affordable.

I've been a customer of BryAnna's for a while now, and I've noticed several changes:1. Customer Service: The customer service at BryAnna's has also deteriorated. Waitresses are constantly rushed by the owner, preventing them from properly explaining the dishes and providing attentive service. As a result, customers never receive satisfactory service, as the owner's constant rushing creates a chaotic and stressful dining experience. 2. Inconsistent Food Flavor: It seems like the food flavor changes every time I visit, indicating a lack of consistency. 3. Poor Treatment of Employees: On a recent visit, I witnessed the owner's wives mistreating a waitress. She pushed and insulted her, leading to a heated argument in the back. Police were called due to the disturbance, highlighting the unacceptable behavior and atmosphere at the restaurant. It's no wonder waitresses don't last long there. 4. Misleading Pricing: They advertise specials but often charge regular or even higher prices for them compared to the menu.UpdateAnswer to Owner: Dear Milton, I appreciate your response to my review. I want to clarify that my intention was not to harm your business or its reputation; rather, I aimed to provide honest feedback based on my experiences. Regrettably, I visited your establishment both Sunday and a few days ago and felt compelled to share my observations for the betterment of your business. I assure you, I have no motive to spread gossip. It's disappointing to sense resistance to constructive feedback, but I believe my purpose here is fulfilled. Sincerely, Joe Dispenza.

Be careful when paying. They automatically include an 18% service fee, which is essentially the tip. However, they still ask for an additional tip. Make sure to check your bill and do the math before paying, as this extra charge can be easily missed. I asked the waitress, and she confirmed that the service fee is the 18% tip already included in the total.

I haven't ate at a Central American restaurant in so long, I'm glad this was a recommendation I followed through on! I indulged when I went:Had the Atole de Elote, while I'm use to an atole being a bit more thick, this consistency was thin but PERFECT in flavor! It was almost like a nicer creamy drink! I then had to follow this with the Tamales de Elote, my goodness were they great! They felt a bit more soft than I'm use to, but it brought out this creamy texture that I really enjoyed. The crema on top was the perfect paring.I then was a bit too full for the popusas, but I still ate. I thought they were good but a bit thicker than I'm use to (don't mean to compare my moms cooking but that's my only point of reference hehe). Pupusas de Loroco y Queso, Chicharrón, y la mexicana were good but I felt they needed a bit more flavor. Can't go wait to go back and try the ox tail dish, my sister recommended it to me!We took a huge group and they were great!

We wanted to try something new and read good reviews about this place so we went for moms bday it's a cute place with street parking. We got free nachos with salsa and beans and decided to order a sampler plate that was enough for the 4 of us and then some it was a mix of varieties but we wished it had some kind of meat on there like piece of pork or sausage, the price was super good at 48 and we ordered drinks and some nachos for a total of 100, not bad at all I wish that they had some spice to the food it was good just lacking a little something , we had a great time and didn't wait long for our food

I love BryAnnas. My family and I enjoy the space and friendly staff. Their menu is a special menu with pupusas from El Salvador and plenty of Guatemalan dishes. I've never had a bad experience and I am always looking forward to returning for yummy food from America.

The food was very good and arrived quickly. Waitress was helpful when ordering. I ordered empanadas since I was just between play readings and didn't want a full meal. Also had a major beverage.

BryAnnas is incredible. The food is amazing. I am the worlds biggest fan of their papusas. Really, I am. I have tried a few things from their menu, and everything is delicious, of course, but the papusas will win for me every time. A place everyone should try for sure.
