BEWARE OF TOPPINGSI heard a lot of good things about Brugo's so decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with our to go order. I was told 7:00p pick up and it came out at 7:20p. On the bill, I noticed they charged RIDICULOUS amounts for toppings. $4 for jalapeños, $8 for chicken, $4 for onions and $5 for green peppers on a SMALL pizza. Before I signed the bill, I asked the bartender about it and she said it's posted on the menu online. No it is not. They have no pricing listed on the menu online, just "*A bit of advice: On medium or giant selecting many toppings is fine, but on a personal it adds up fast, though it will be wonderful! It might be better to go with one of our many topping gourmet personals."Worst of all, the pizza was just ok, which made the price even harder to justify.

Must come and eat here. We have been here a couple times. Our meals were delicious and staff are very friendly. I wish they had the Chicken Marsala on the menu, only offered on Wednesday.

Shannon the gal behind the bar is the best there is! She was so friendly and helpful on the menu! Recommended a great wine and just made our visit so enjoyable. We will definitely be back to hopefully see Shannon soon. She was very informed about the area and was so friendly. Can't wait to get back and visit Shannon soon!

Neighborhood Italian Restaurant that claims award winning pizza on its sign. Every Friday, we eat pizza and salad for dinner. While we have some favorite restaurants, always open to try somewhere new. Tonight, we went to Brugo. Our Caesar salad was cold, crisp romaine cut in bite sized pieces and the dressing was perfect. My disappointment was in boxed croutons and generic grated cheese. We ordered the Margherita pizza - my go to for every first time restaurant because I believe it is the purest pizza. I love to taste the tomato, cheese and basil without the distraction of toppings. Tonight's pizza was disappointing at best. The crust had a nice chew but was tasteless. The sauce was flavorful, but there needed to be more of it. The description on the menu said the pizza included "4 of the most expensive cheeses, Mozzarella, provolone, amazing imported parmesan and asiago." Like the crust, the cheese was tastless. My husband commented that he'd eaten better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. All of the 16" specialty pizzas, which includes the Margherita, are $38. However, they have a build your own 16" with a base price of $22.50. After dinner, I asked the server what the difference was between the $38 Margherita and the $22.50 Cheese and he said the Margherita has 4 cheeses and the Cheese only has Mozzarella!!! Having eaten in hundreds of Italian/pizza restaurants, I consider myself a good judge and Brugo fails the test for taste and value. We won't be going back.

Location; right off cave creek road within Stagecoach Village, super cute Italian place, they do take reservations. Clean, and super friendly inside with inside and outside seating and the weather is perfect. Just off the patio is the cutest train that goes around the center. Food; started with the Anti Pasto salad, and it was crisp and delicious, I may go next time for a large salad. Well maybe not the Pizza was so good, we decided on the Meat Cravers Pizza and it was not without meat. I can't wait to go back and try something new. Also, ordered a VERY good margarita, it was very very good. A must try place. Service; He was so nice, and new it was our first time. Great place.

We had dinner reservations for 7:30 Saturday night. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and a pizza . The breaded zucchini is very good. We ordered a thin crust sausage pizza. There was a little mix up so it took a little longer , but they were very apologetic and we understood. All food was piping hot and very good.

This could easily be a 5 star review, but there are a couple reasons why I lowered the score to 4, which I'll touch on below.Everything was great! My wife and her sister shared a pizza and a Ceasar Salad and I went for the Sunday Special, which was Chicken Picatta. The girls loved their pizza. I had 1 slice and agreed it was very good.My Chicken Picatta was AMAZING! And, let me note that I don't think I've ever actually ordered this dish anywhere, but from now on, it will always be on my radar and I'll compare future Chicken Picatta dishes to this one.The problems I have with our visit regard pricing. The girls' Medium"Meat Craver's Pizza was $31. And that was with them excluding both bacon and salami. They asked for some extra fresh basil, and were charged an extra $5, making this a $36 pizza. For a $31 pizza, I don't think there should be an extra cost for some fresh basil. And, considering that they didn't even get 2 of the meats, it just seems wrong to charge $5 more for a little fresh basil.Everyone there was very nice and we loved the look and feel of the place. One of the owners came over and chatted with us for a while, and she was super cool and nice.Food is 5 stars in my book, but the value here is lacking and could be a deal breaker going forward.
