Brown's & Family BBQ & Soul is located on the southwest side of Chi-town on 87th Street. This restaurant is for take-out only. My mother was desiring some Turkey Tips and she was told this restaurant had the best in the city of Chicago. Who ever told my mother that DID NOT LIE! I've eaten turkey tips from a few barbeque spots around the city __ this indeed has been the best. The taste and texture is on point. Excuse me for not taking and posting a picture of the dish before I started eating it. I was actually half way in when I realized I did not capture the entire meal. They give a Lot for the price. If you like Turkey Tips you will not be disappointed. What I really noticed and loved was it's ALL MEAT and no fat or gristle. My turkey tips came with fries. I will eat there again.

Just stopped by this place for the grand opening. They were sold out of many items because of the overwhelming response of the food, so I only tried the spaghetti. It was really yummy, well seasoned (with Italian sausage) and delicious. They have a great variety of items on the menu, so I'll definitely be back to try the BBQ and other items. Great black and family owned establishment in the community!

Driving through the area, stopped by for lunch. I ordered a small catfish with fries. Catfish was simply delicious! It was 2 catfish filets cooked to perfection. Perfect combination of flaky & crunch. My fries just as ordered, salt & pepper with mild sauce. Excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was friendly & prompt. The steady flow of customers shows Browns Family BBQ & Soul is on the right track!

I don't have any pictures but let that be your guide. I opened up the food in the car and by the time I got home my nephew and I ate everything. The rib tips hands down were my favorite so yummy and will be my go to order! My nephew had the chicken wings and he enjoyed them. I'm not a fan of crinkle fried but I love a good fry sandwich and those fries in the white bread with the bbq sauce was sooooo good. The greens were good and flavorful, I prefer all leaves in my greens no stems but the stems were small enough not to be bad. The Mac and cheese was yummy. Idk what flavor was mixed in but we kept going back for spoon fulls. Side note I am not far from the Resturant! Soooo glad to have tried something new! See you soon Brown Family

With them opening on April 1, they got a huge following. It took me four tries to place my order with them. Usually the line is out the door and down the block.The food overall is really good. The bbq is cut large so you are getting you money worth. The greens and Mac & cheese are homemade. No can stuff here.

Their wings can be very good but some days lacking a bit in quality (not fresh). Tried their catfish and was a bit apprehensive because I thought it might have been fishy based on the smell; however, I gave it a try and it was straight fire. The fish was fried hard, super crispy. It was also well seasoned and you can tell it's actually catfish.

I ordered this off of the Facebook recommendation and when I tell you I was disappointed. I was disappointed. The food was absolutely horrible bbone grizzle. I'm brought a link and tip an extra large one and for what I pay for it. I may be received maybe 5 edible tips and the amount was extremely small. I spent the total of $60 from any edible food horrible.

DISAPPOINTED ON MOTHER'S DAY!!!Placed an order on their site, it took payment, said the order was being prepared.... Just to get there and the restaurant was closed. If you are closed your site should say that and definitely not accept orders . I was excited to taste their food for the first time and now Im just frustrated. A sign on the door but no note on the website. . In this age of internet/technology the site should have been updated as a priority. Ughhhh

The food tastes just like it you're eating at your cousin's house! I had the Tips with Mac n Cheese and Greens...That's my new spot!

Hubby and I gave this place a try.First and last time!Cole slaw was like water , not good at all ( went in the garbage). Spaghetti had no flavor. Chicken wings tasted like they had been cooked and reheated. Rib tips ok, not the best, links were the best thing, not great either. So needless to say won't be back!
