What a delicious experience after a busy day.I've been aware of Brown Bag Seafood and read so many great reviews, but can't believe it took me so long to actually make a visit in. After a great event across the sidewalk at Indiehouse Fragrance in WSP, my intern/friend and I decided to grab dinner at Brown Bag to end the evening. From the exterior (and across the street), they almost looked close but after checking their hours and seeing a few folks leaving with their bags of food, we were breaking our necks to look at the menu.Brown Bag offers a variety of seafood options in a number of ways like chowder, fish & chips, tacos, grilled choices, lobster rolls and so much more. As a lover of seafood myself, this was an easy sell to me. Their menu was super clear and allowed us to DIY our meals or choose from a few prefixe items. Jamesa decided on their dinner plate that included two sides (parmesan tots and elote) and I opted for their grilled catch in taco form with their seasonal elote (really, esquites) and buffalo tots, paired with an ginger Arnold Palmer. We ordered it in advance, fearful that by the time our event ended, they would be closing down. The event ended early so we headed over to Brown Bag with 2 of our fellow Elites to grab our food. Upon arrival, there were 2 employees out front (AB + and Lowla, I believe) and wow, what sweethearts! We were in great spirits and bugging them like we were all old friends. As someone who previously worked in restaurants, I know how much of a bummer it can be to see folks come in with less than 30 minutes before closing, lol. But these employees were SO kind and accommodating. Not only to us, but to the other customers that came in behind us to place last minute orders or pick up their scheduled orders. Although we were early for our scheduled pickup time, AB quickly started on our order. While we waited and talked, we tried some sauces from their sauce bar and let me tell you, their hot sauce and boss sauce are IT!! The hot sauce had the perfect amount of vinegar and the boss sauce had such an amazing combination of flavors included, such a hit. Once I got home to finally take a load off, I dug into my meal. They came with a small cup of salsa and chips, but I was more focused on my entree and sides. Sadly, the seasonal elote didn't do it for me. It had a bit too much mayo, was too watery and the flavors just didn't mesh well in my opinion. It happens! I love esquites so maybe I was expecting something different. The tots though? WOW. I mean, tater tots are a national treasure no matter what. But adding that amazing buffalo sauce and a bit of blue cheese? Life-changing. I wish I had gotten double buffalo tots. The tacos were LOADED with flaky grilled fish, cabbage, cilantro, red onions and jalapenos. I'll be honest, I generously spread the hot sauce and boss sauce over both of them so I didn't take in the original flavor too much but I have zero regrets. Those tacos were A1! The sauces paired with the freshness of the taco truly took it to another level. I was starving after a fun evening of mingling with my fellow Yelpers and this meal really sealed the deal on a 5-star day. I can't wait to go back and try some more dishes!

Love the 4-6 "Happy Hour" dinner pricing and location with indoor and out door seating. The hostess was gracious in explaining the menu and ordering procedures.upon entering the smell was divine, and he had very high expectations. however, after a very long, wait, we feel that the meal did not at all meet our expectations. The quinoa and rice clump together and was similar to a product we purchased from the supermarket out of a pack.Although we ordered tempura cod, it was very very overcooked, and it did not seem fresh, but as if it was a frozen product that was deep-fried .I am very confused by the vegetable as the vegetables that they are blending don't seem to blend well together and left me chewing under cooked vegetables for a long time . I have high hopes for this place and hope the food does improve to match the people working there.

Visited on a Friday evening - happy hour time. Westside Provisions is very busy on Fridays or anytime actually so snag a parking spot and don't forget to pay. It's ParkMobile via the app or machine. The restaurant has a code to validate parking - I forgot to go back in to update my fee for 4 hours. The restaurant is a casual, order at the counter and take a number for the food to be delivered to your table. There's a small variety of alcoholic drinks, the usual sodas, the house ginger pineapple punch and teas. The menu is simple with easy ingredients for those wanting something healthier. The sauces are on the side and more at their condiments bar. The presentation on the menu photos and once plated is very nice. Portions are on the average side - probably 1.5 cups of veggies and 1/2 cup protein. The flavors were on the under seasoned side to me. Not bland but definitely didn't have much flavor. I guess that's what the sauces were for.Overall, I felt like I had a healthy meal on a Friday night with my friends. We ate on the outside patio to people watch - the one next door for Jeni's Ice Cream got longer & longer! Try it out if you enjoy casual dining and a reasonable price.

This place is amazing! Food is fresh and prepared with care. If you don't rate this establishment a 5 out of 5 please question your life decisions.Lola and AB are always consistently providing great service which I find is becoming more rare in Atlanta. They've taken the time to get to know me and always suggest items on the menu they think I'd like based on my previous purchases. Who does that? I'd recommend this location to anyone who wants a quick and reliable product along with great customer care.

Sigh. I am such a FAN GIRL of Brown Bag. So much so, I brought my boyfriend for his first visit tonight. Upon entering, my intuition kicked in that things felt off. For instance, I have become accustomed to a very warm greeting. Almost, too warm and ungenuine, but I'd take that over what we received tonight, any day. Tonight, there were two male employees (AJ was the one we interacted with most) and neither greeted or even acknowledged us for a while. My boyfriend was trying to figure out where the new lobster mac was on the menu so he got AJ's attention. After a few moments, we all learned it is not on there so we would just need to "call" that one out aloud when placing the order. Cool. It was now my turn. I always get the salmon bowl with the greens and grains but was adamant to try something new tonight. I went with the new Green Garlic Shrimp and needed AJ's help understanding what the "Ancient Grain Blend" was as a side since it did not have a description. I may have confused him because I said I typically get the "Greens and Grains" as my side with the salmon bowl. He said they were the same but then moments late after some additional questions on my end, he recanted and said it was just "grains" and not "greens". I now completely understood and went with fries as my side. I noted that AJ seemed VERY bothered by questions. Anyway, we placed our order (including my boyfriend's lobster mac) and then had a seat. I noticed that other patrons came in after us and they too were left unattended for quite some time. I BELIEVE that AJ and the other employee were working on Door Dash orders. About half way into our wait, AJ realized he had not given us our tea cups, so he did hand those off. Again, he seemed bothered because we wanted ice. The ice is near the rear of the restaurant, so I guess he was hoping we said no to ice versus yes. Sigh. AJ finally brought our food over and apologized for our wait (it was definitely extensive tonight...at least 20+ min but we weren't bothered as I'd rather quality over quantity any day). He did forget my toast but immediately brought it out. My boyfriend proceeds to eat his lobster mac. I am quietly observing him for a reaction but he gives none. He offers me to try some and i dive in and get a spoonful of mac and lobster. As soon as I put it on my tongue, I pulled the spoon out of my mouth and basically screamed, "it's cold!" My boyfriend then goes ,"oh, I thought it was supposed to be served like that." After a good laugh between the both of us and me almost cursing him out for even THINKING lobster Mac would be served cold (smh), he agreed that it was not tasty like that (also noted the mac didn't seem fresh) and went back to AJ to inform him. AJ quickly took the plate and I guess reheated it. Took quite some time...definitely over 5 minutes because I realized I needed to slow my eating pace or else he was going to be eating alone when his food came back out. Anyways, AJ brought the mac back over, apologized again (he was starting to finally warm up to us) and offered my boyfriend "something" for the inconvenience. He said no thanks but AJ did give him a chocolate chip cookie. So, again, I watch as my boyfriend (a guy who eats anything!!!!!) took one bite and then politely put his fork on the table and said "I am good." I was disappointed because not only was this his first experience at Brown Bag, but we had just wasted $28 on food and would have to go home and cook him something else. Sigh. I did tell him to not nix Brown Bag out tonight because this night was definitely an exception. [See...I told you, I am a FAN GIRL. I was still going hard for Brown Bag even on a very off night.] At any rate, he got a carry out box to hopefully salvage the lobster and we left after that. AJ did yell goodbye/good night from the back. Again, we noted he became much more pleasant as the night went on. About my food - nothing spectacular really. The shrimp were juicy and tasted great with the tartar sauce (didn't really taste much of anything with the green sauce it was served with). The fries were crispy (the thicker ones tasted a bit undercooked but luckily, I didn't have many of them). My toast was buttery and warm. No complaints from me with my food. Would I order the shrimp again...yeah, I guess...but I will likely stick to my salmon and green grains bowl. What's the saying ... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Overall, tonight was a miss. I struggled with the 3 star rating but in fairness, my food was fine and AJ did try to redeem himself as the night went on.

Went today for an early dinner. My mom had the chowder and hush puppies. She liked both of them - especially the hush puppies! I got the tuna with 1/2grains and 1/2greens which I enjoyed. Jay - who took our order - was super friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant is in the fast casual category , we felt that the staff went above and beyond to help us. Definitely go if you're looking for a healthy and tasty meal and friendly folks.

The restaurant it's self is really clean and the staff are attentive. I was greeted by a gentleman who recommended a few items. I ended up ordering the fish sandwich and if I'm being honest the one at McDonalds taste better. There was something seriously missing. It was bland and it seemed the fish may had been over cooked. The bread and fries were nice, but the fish itself was underwhelming. However, the guy did recommend the tacos and I should have listened. $17 for a bad sandwich definitely ruined my day. I won't be back or brining my foodie friends here either. I wish I would have checked out the reviews ahead of time. There are others here complaining about the grocery store fish sandwich.
