I've been in San diego 35 years and I may have just found my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I look for deals, $1.50 tacos, cheaper beers, ceviche tostadas. So many great little places around the county. My pallet has expanded to look at seafood quality and soup quality. 1st attraction was Taco Wednesdays. I asked for 1 each of 4 of the 5 options for $1.99 tacos. It was an off-hour, so the young gentlemen guided me through different specialties on the menu overhead. Carne asada, pollo, pescado, and carnitas. I asked for a side of carrots and both habanero salsa and salsa verde.Love the smell and exhibition kitchen. Felt like home in a family kitchen. I'm already planning my next 3 meal choices here- and what my wife would enjoy.Took mine to go to have at my fave watering hole. Can't wait to come back!

Accidentally stumbled across this place, and was very pleased! My family is a "Lolitas" fan, so this has been a transition for us LOL. First off, it's a small family owned business, which is awesome. The Mom and Dad are always there cooking, and it's great to support a business like this. They are very nice and polite. Second, they have a killer "Taco Tuesday" deal and their street tacos are great!!!! ($2.oo each)The food is always really good, and full of flavor. We have been probably 10 times now, and no complaints except for the one time I ordered a bean + cheese + guac burrito, and they forgot the guacamole. It's ok, it happens : )The salsa offerings are good, but, it's not an open salsa bar like Lolitas. **Ask for chunky salsa, so good. The prices are very fair, and the portion size is larger than normal as well. Overall, very pleased and we have officially switched over to Brothers for Mexican food once or twice a week - please try!!!

The brothers burrito was decent. It's big and they have chips. It's limited on seating.

Hidden gem with some of the largest burritos I have ever seen. I ordered a delicious cabeza burrito with rice and absolutely loved it. The meat was tender and delicious and went well with the guacamole and salsa. The meat is not super flavorful so I definitely recommend adding their salsa verde as you eat. I hope to come back for their Taco Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I had a very good chile relleno burrito from this third Brother's Mexican Food location. The burrito came with one chile relleno stuffed with white cheese, Mexican rice, and refried beans wrapped in a butter flour tortilla. The burrito was very tasty. The relleno tasted good, the rice was nice, and the beans flavorful. The only flaw was that there was some burnt rice in the burrito, likely scrapped off the bottom of the pan, but other than that, it was very good and filling.They make good hot sauces here too. I tried a couple of them. They offer free tortilla chips in a small container if you eat in. Service was very nice at the counter. Only inside seating is available.

Yes you do want to come by and get some food, this place knocks it out the park. Do not usually go Mexican food when in this area but this spot will change that.

Family-owned casual Mexican eatery, everytime I come by, the staff are so nice. Offer free chips, salsas, and always stuff my mini tacos up. I really enjoy coming on Tuesday and Wednesdays to get $1.99 tacos (crispy fried fish, flavorful marinade pork al pastor, tender beef cabeza). Definitely come check it out for their other good eats and warm service.

Friendly service. A few tables inside with one TV and music. Tuesday and Wednesday $1.99 tacos. Wednesday special 2 tacos with rice and beans. Carne asada was a bit charred. Cheese not white. Red sauce a bit of a bbq flavor ok. Tortillas doubled. Rice so-so. Beans maybe a bit better. I ate one taco and could not eat the rest. They have hirchata and coke zero fountain drinks.

Taco Tuesday $2 each. Adobada, asada, pollo, pescado, carnitas. I enjoyed the carnitas. Free chips. Good value

I ordered caldo de Tlalpeno last week via Grubhub. Kinda worried with the Yelp reviews but I was so happy I tried it. Soup was delicious And today it was cold so I went there placed an order the caldo to go! Service was good and pretty quick. I got three different salsa loved the habanero. Appreciated the gentleman who kindly offered me three different salsa or hot sauce. Definitely revisit sometime soon.
