Broken Barrel Bar

This place is GREAT don't get me wrong but it highly depends on your waiter! We sat on the covered side of the patio tonight 7/23 from 6:00-9:00PM for Trivia with our dogs and had to get up about 4 times to get plates, silverware, napkins, to place our orders etc! We have come here every single week but this time was some of the worst service we've ever experienced hence the review!! She was dirty blonde ish and we think her name was Ashley but not sure! Overall broken barrel is an amazing bar and this will not deter us from coming back as everyone and I really mean EVERYONE else that we have had has been great!!! But tonight was no good :( Food and drinks and specials are amazing!!

Outdoor or indoor seating. Gets pretty rowdy during peak hours. Food is real good! We went on a Saturday and had two separate checks. First server was great! Very helpful with ordering and very fast. Our second server was horrible. Took forever to take our order and was very rude each time he did. Good selections of beers and cocktails! Also offer bottomless on the weekends. Walkable area in LP

The Broken Barrel is a fun bar with both indoor and outdoor seating that offers good views of the TVs if you're coming to watch a game or play trivia. The trivia is a bit too difficult but it's still fun. I'm not a fan of the nachos, even though the portion size was huge. However the chicken tenders are amazing!

This week's Thursdays After Work was at Broken Barrel on Southport. Your typical sports bar with a big semi inside/outside patio and lots of TVs so the guys can obsess over their bets. I only drank a humbling angry orchard this week. One of the Thursday deals is a 12 dollar burger and tall boy combo. Then the table ordered the hot chicken sandwich, the smoky chipotle wings, and tacos. Burger : "Good food + beer deal, but the burger wasn't good. I added cheese and bacon for $4 and it only made it mildly better." - 3/10Hot chicken sandwich: "It's hot af, it's spicy. Crispy chicken. The fries were a lil soggy, but to each their own." - 7/10Wings: "Come off the bone easily. Tender. The sauce could be a little spicier. There's lot of meat on the wings." - 8.5/10

Great place to catch a game and hang out - huge spot, with multiple bars - before you decide where to sit, take a lap and decide what your vibe is. Food is pretty good - I would say it's upscale bar food, but not incredible. Price point is correct for the area, too. Servers are nice, but they're college kids, some of them with a idgaf attitude, but they get the job done, and it's a bar atmosphere so our expectations weren't for white glove service. We've been a couple times and enjoy the food and atmosphere so we'll continue to come back!

I've been wanting to try this place out for the wings, and the garlic buffalo and bourbon bbq definitely met my expectations! Our big group was in the way back of the enclosed patio, so service was not as quick at first because we were probably out of sight/out of mind. However, once we finally got our waters and order in, things were smooth and the dinner was a great fun experience! We ordered the 30 piece wings for the group, and unfortunately were only allowed to split between two flavors (hence why I only mentioned the above two flavors). Definitely appreciated the big bowl of ranch and carrots/celery that came with. The brussel nachos were also divine! We got it with the pulled pork, and these are probably some of my favorite nachos because having veggies on top is brilliant! My cocktails were super tasty as well - they were out of the watermelon paloma but gave me a pomegranate paloma instead. That, and the hibiscus margarita were both refreshing and delicious with the heavier wings and food. I would definitely come back with another group to try some more grub and drinks!

Tried to plan a birthday party here and apparently they don't want our business. Their website says they're walk in, but that large parties can be reserved by contract. I submitted 2 inquiries online, asked their google chat bot, emailed them, and called and left a message with a live person for someone to call me back...and they never returned my call.Oh well, guess we'll go somewhere else and spend our money.

This is my new favorite sports bar! The food here is incredible and when they say everything is fresh and severed from scratch, it's true. As a connoisseur of wings, these ones stand out - along with their array of different sauces. I had the Chipotle Maple and it was so delicious. Also, done miss out on the cheese curds. They are fantastic as well - perfectly battered and fried. Have also had excellent service - waitresses are attentive and willing to make great recommendations.

I placed an online order for some takeout. I ordered 2 separate 8 piece wing orders for a total of 4 different sauces. I chose their Bourbon BBQ, chili-maple, Buffalo and honey-habanero. All the sauces were tasty, but they didn't mark them, so I had to guess on a couple of them. I want to say the chili-maple tasty had an Asian tangy spice to it, but overall was really satisfied with the entire wing order. The Buffalo sauce was also very good. I also ordered their cheese curds, but unfortunately, cheese curds don't travel that well. By the time I got home, they were cold and soggy. Wouldn't really blame then on the restaurant, but overall they tasted great with their chili aioli. Will definitely be returning, with hopefully an opportunity to dine instead of doing takeout.

So good! Ordered a bunch of apps (cheese curds, sweet tots, 2 pretzels, truffle fries and a variety of brunch entrees (breakfast burrito, smoked salmon plate and he salad). I didn't love the salmon on the smoked salmon plate as it was way too dry but everything else was good! It was march madness so packed but the service was decent. Do get on the waitlist beforehand!
