Broadside Tavern

Stopped at Broadside Tavern with some coworkers while in town and found it to be a nice place to spend some time near where I was staying. I can see why, from the vibe and space, that it can get busy. Has a great neighborhood bar feel.While we all had designs on getting full meals, we ended up mostly getting an assortment of appetizers that filled us up. I've not had a lot of clam chowder, but figured that Boston was a great place to change that. After seeing their menu note that their chowder has won awards, I decided to start there. It was very good, and made me want to have it again. The other appetizers we had were good, but unspectacular. Typical of easy appetizers you get with a group to make sure everyone gets something with choices. The Sampler was a classic mix of chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and some loaded waffle fries, and the buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but felt a little heavy on the sauce.

My mistake!! I ordered a Greek salad. The fact that they didn't have Kalamata olives should have been my first clue. The salad was horrible. Greek? The Greeks should be offended by this salad. For comparison, a proper Greek salad would have the following ingredients: cucumbers, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, olive oil, vinegar, oregano and a few other seasonings. THIS did not come close. The chefs "interpretation" isn't on the same continent.As for any other items, I will never know. On the flip side, the service was really great. Attentive to be sure. Maybe the other food is good? I will never know. The other people in my group enjoyed the fish & chips.

Nice open window seat. Table without reservation. Wonderful server. Quickly prepared food. Nice selection of items. Crowded around bar. Went at dinner.

Food was great and our server was very friendly and helpful. We're vegetarian so we ordered the pretzels and split a veggie burger. Both were very good.

11/2021Stopped in this tavern since we were in the Boston area. Street/parking lot parking. This tavern had the local game on so many people were here. The decor is cool and the set up is real nice. I enjoyed the local beerThe food was just ok. My friend liked her fish and chips. My nachos were disappointing. It was all overcooked together so when you picked up one chip the entire serving was attached. The appetizer sampler was tasty. If I'm in the area again I'll come back but probably will skip the food

My last night in Boston, I just wanted something on the lighter side. This restaurant is next to the hotel, so I decided to order the Chicken Ceasar Salad, to go. Placing the order with the hostess was very painless.This restaurant is certainly happening a place after work. This restaurant was very busy. Within a few minutes, I was on my way.The good size salad was a good size and delicious. Check it out and enjoy.

We found Broadside because we were looking for a place to watch a Tennessee Vols football game. Just watching the game would have been great but they had to go and impress us top notch service, proper drinks, good food and fair prices. Check it out. The food is fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Good neighborhood place to relax and feel like you're home.

Took my family home to visit Boston and needed a place that could accommodate picky palettes and specific eating needs.This place was open during lunch - we had a cool Irish waiter, service was great. :)I'm going to be honest - I can't remember what we ate but I remember the food being good, and everyone was pretty satisfied. The bathrooms were clean, it wasn't too loud and the atmosphere was really nice. I would definitely go back here when in Boston.

Went here for a last minute dinner with a party of 8. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our meals were all very good and the prices were reasonable, especially for Boston.

Steak tips were great and really well seasoned. Cooked exactly how I asked (medium rare). Vegetables were cooked very well with just a little crunch left. Great texture. Well seasoned. Servers were attentive. Noise level was medium.
