Based on the service and food, this would have been a five star review but deducted a solid point because of the oddly overpriced drinks. We were staying at the Westin Villas and wanted a short walk to dinner one night - at this time, the main restaurant at the resort was under renovation so the "nicer" dinner place was the Brittlebush and voila! We ended up there. We weren't expecting much but honestly the food was AMAZING! And the service was FANTASTIC! Christian was our server - he's a gem and a keeper! So we both ordered a lemon drop martini to start off with and then a glass of wine with dinner. The speciality drinks on the menu were priced between $10-$16 so we expected a similar price for a lemon drop. Can't say enough about how good and fresh the food was and we were talking about how great Christian was but then the bill came. $22 each for the lemon drops! I mean, we are just not at a venue that supports that kind of price - one drink was almost the price of my entree! F&B Manager - you may want to rethink this policy. Food and service - 5 stars though!

Wow is the word that comes to mind, for this wonderful place at the Westin Kierland Golf Resort!!!!We attended a private event last night with food and drinks, along with having a blast playing Glow Putt and hanging out with everyone!Grounds and views are absolutely spectacular, with very beautiful decor inside as well. Awesome food and drinks,..And we just LOVE the staff!!They're all so friendly, attentive, and fun!Shoutouts to :*LORI, KK, BILL, BYRON, and another gentleman, (forgot to get his name),*They truly made our evening the very best!!We had a MAC & CHEESE BAR, and a BURGER BAR, with SALAD. The BURGER BAR included :Falafel Burgers, Salmon Burgers, and Cheeseburgers - w/all the fixings. The MAC & CHEESE BAR included:Lobsters & Crab Orecchiette, Chicken Cavatappi - (it was my favorite!),..and Vegan Vegetable Penne. Overall, we had a fantastic evening, and truly cannot believe that we hadn't been here before! We're excited to visit again soon!

Stopped in for a late lunch while staying at the resort. Just a short walk. Definitely enjoyed the food and the place. Interesting cocktails also.

Attending a meeting at the Westin Kierland, stopped in at the Brittlebush Bar & Cafe, looking to escape the crowds at the restaurant in the main building. Brittlebush is located in the golf club. Decor is lodge-like with lots of exposed wood beams and copper. It's a limited menu - apps, burgers, sliders and salads. Our server, Kimberly B., did a great job - orders executed perfectly, drinks refilled with efficiency, charm and a smile. Thank you! I had grilled shrimp salad. 4 nice-sized grilled shrimp accompanied kale and curly endive greens, halved cherry tomatoes, all garnished with cilantro, red onion, grilled corn & crumbles of salty cotija cheese and dressed lightly with oil and vinegar. It's a great salad. The textures of the kale and endive make this a much more interesting eat than standard romaine salad fare. Shrimp were cooked perfectly - firm, tender and flavorful on the inside with a nice crunch from the grill on the outside. We were treated to complimentary dessert - bread pudding. A small round of warm, chewy and moist bread pudding is doused with sweet caramel sauce and adorned with crumbles of toffee. The perfect lunch-time dessert - not too big, and just sweet enough. Kind of negates the value of the salad that preceded it - but what the heck. You only go around once in life! Tab for 3 was $67 including soft drinks, so this isn't an inexpensive lunch. When you're at the Westin Kierland, this is a great option for a tasty lunch in a casual atmosphere.

Ice tea. Club soda2x Deconstructed Fringe Salad. One of best salads ever! I usually don't like the "deconstructed" concept, but this salad worked! Artisan greens that included frisée lettuce, bruléed Brie cheese(the flamed sugar on top was a perfect foil for the tang of the cheese-was it really Brie?), grape tomatoes (not heirloom like on menu), sliced boiled egg, craisins, sunflower seeds(not toasted like on menu), avocado and served with a poppyseed dressing. I've never had bruléed cheese, but you know I'll try that at home. The poppyseed dressing was slightly creamy, but more of a cross with a vinaigrette. Free sample of house bread pudding. $40 with hotel guest 10% discount.

My husband and I had lunch here and is was wonderful! Our server was helpful and friendly. The crispy mahi mahi tacos were so delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are served with a yummy sauce. My husband had the tomato soup and the grilled pastrami and cheese sandwich. That dish was super tasty too. The fun surprise at the end is a free serving of their signature dessert, which is the size of a small muffin, light and fluffy served warm with a dollop of a sweet whipped cream, sprinkled with toffee pieces and mini chocolate chips, topped with a little warm caramel sauce. Need I say more?!?

Much better than I expected (golf course restaurant in a hotel - usually ho hum). I had the deconstructed fringe salad and hubby had the tomato soup and grilled sandwich. Both were very good and innovative. They also had an interesting list of cocktails, which we did not try. Service was good, and there is a nice view of the golf course.

Let me start off by saying I came here for a work dinner so my experience might be different than a regular dining experience. Needless to say I would probably not be back to try the regular menu of food. The atmosphere was really clean and kind of a lodge-ish type of feel. There was a plate of assorted cheeses, meats, artichokes, breads there was a station with 2 different pastas that tasted like pasta and heavy cream with no flavor and a taco type bar. A lot of the people there really liked the pastas and other food but I was not a fan. Like I said it could have been a different dining experience than one would normally have ordering off their menu but I was not impressed at all with the food we had that night or really any food from the hotel for that fact. If you're staying here though it might be worth your while to visit for some drinks and enjoy the beautiful view of the golf course.
