Bright Penny Brewing

There are actually 2 locations in Mebane, one by the outlets and this one. This place is fantastic. They have seating inside, but the main attraction is outside at the beer garden. It was packed today so no pictures because it's always creepy to take photos or strangers to post online. My husband, the introverts' favorite part is you can grab a table outside, scan the QR code, order from your phone and they bring it to your table. In all honesty, you could go here with never entering the place. We had the Oktoberfest and the Buffalo chicken dip with pitas. Service was great and we greatly enjoyed the beer and food! Definitely a cool place, check it out if you are in the area. The parking lot is small but there is a lot right across the street when you can park and walk over. Definitely kid and dog friendly as well.

We were in town 2 weeks, ended up going here three times. We went within two hours of "Tessa's" 2 star. Unknown when she actually went. Her rating, and the opposite experience I had two other times, caused me to go back. For the sake of research!!! (Well, and the Margarita Pizza). Tried three other deviled egg options from other visits. Fun to select. All were very good! Fresh! Had another pizza, and yes, I Did take home more peanut-butter cheese cakes! Service again beyond reproach, again we sat out in tents. (Has big fans!!) My ratings stand! By the time we left, Place was packed! Overflow parking only, most outside tables, and BeerGarden areas were full.

What a cute place in Burlington! The beer was cold and tasty and they have pizzas and deviled egg flights. The deviled eggs were amazing with about 10 different flavors to choose from. The eggs were amazing. We tried Madge's and Josephine's and they were so yummy! The pizzas aren't your typical boring pizzas, they have some unique stuff on the menu. Lots of seating inside and out as well as a beer garden area outside. Service was great! Kids are welcome and they have table games to keep them occupied. Super clean restrooms. Super cute place to check out if you're in the area.

I love this place! I can't believe it took me so long to get out here. It's hopping, fun, great beer, and the pizza is outstanding. It gets super busy, both lots were filled when I came on a Saturday evening. Inside there's bar seating and a good amount of tables, out back there's also seating and a side deck.I tried a variety of beers and enjoyed them all. My friend and I also had the Cheesesteak pizza and the 4-1-2. They were super unique and tasty! It's a great size though, especially for the price, and the toppings are plentiful. Our bartender, Jordan, was wonderful! He checked on us constantly and like I said, they were packed. Definitely a must check out in Mebane!

What a nice Saturday afternoon. We were traveling through Mebane when the hunger hit so we stopped in to this brewery with food. The menu was pretty extensive so we needed time to go through it before ordering at the counter. We ordered a couple beers, I had the #2 which I think was Skyline and an order of Karen's deviled eggs (topped with seafood dip). I was surprised to find deviled eggs on the menu and they offer several different toppings for them so I look forward to trying some others in the future because they were very good. We sat outside in a shady spot and then ordered the buffalo chicken dip which came with pita chips and the Korean bbq pizza (flavor of the month). It was a thin crust and had very good flavor but I thought it could have had more toppings because several spots were just dough. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch and beer and looked forward to coming again.

We decided to venture out to Mebane based on some great reviews from Yelp and some other investigations. Bright Penny Brewing was our main destination for coming to Mebane and we weren't disappointed with the stop.The brewery has over 20 beers on tap and after tasting a few both my wife and I decided on the Chocolate Covered Pistachio, according to the website (Imperial Stout brewed with over 50 pounds of real pistachio and 25 pounds of Dutch cocoa powder.) and according to my tastebuds WOW, frickin' awesome...! We also ordered a flight of deviled eggs, something that Bright Penny is known for and you get three choices with six half total. All were excellent, but our favorite we thought was Doreen's which was topped with dill weed, dill relish, and paprika, but Harriet's came in a close second. I think no matter what you choose you will be happy.Now, for the main we ordered the Sweet & Salty pizza (sort of like me and my wife...I will not say who is which), this is the description from the website again (Garlic oil base, topped with shaved prosciutto, sliced black mission figs, and goat cheese, finished with fresh arugula and balsamic glaze). I do this so you will know what was on the pizza. Okay, Bright Penny, there is WAY TOO MUCH GOAT CHEESE, you need to either dial it back or increase the fig or my suggestion would be to add a caramelized onion to the pizza to balance out the cheese. My wife thought a cream base would be better.A couple who sat next to us ordered the same pizza and on our way out I asked them what they thought of the pizza and they said the same thing. So, please take note, it was good but could be over-the-top good. My wife and I both agreed we would come back because this place is a gem.

Hubby wanted to get out and explore so we chose Mebane last Saturday. We picked this lovely establishment and enjoyed a beer called "chocolate covered pistachio". A smooth imperial Stout. Very luscious.We then picked our flight of eggs and split them. We enjoyed all of them but I have to say...I could eat a whole plate of just the "Doreens"..that relish dill weed and paprika combo was unforgettable and addicting. Now the pizza. Hmmm...our pick fell a little short. We ordered the "Sweet & Salty " and I basically feel we had a goat cheese flatbread. Soooo much goat cheese. It was a bit much. Not much of a base to it...that's why it felt like a flat bread. I'd say add a creamy fatty base to it...less goat cheese..and you got yourself a winner. We still love this place and will definitely come back and try other food and of course, my Doreens eggs.

This is a very cute brewery located in Mebane, NC. They have a small parking lot along with an outdoor beer garden. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. They have a wide variety of beer and seltzers. I ordered the County Line which was light and refreshing. I also ordered a flight of deviled eggs. I got the Josephine, Madge, and Doreen. Josephine was by far my favorite but all three were good. I had already eaten brunch or I would have gotten a pizza. I saw several on neighboring tables which looked amazing. I will definitely return and try other foods with our deviled egg flight. Staff was very kind and offered guidance when selecting food and beverages.

One word.....Awesome!!! As soon as I walked in, I knew this was my kind of place, I mean...who else has 8 different types of deviled eggs, 20 beers on tap, a long list of custom pizzas and great customer service. Bar seating was comfortable, there are plenty of TVs, indoor/ outdoor seating and live music on weekends. I love this set up, so many breweries do not offer food options which I think is a total miss on the business plan. Make a point to stop in and enjoy.

What a cool location! The staff was awesome and the food was so good for a brewery. It sounds weird, but we highly recommend the deviled eggs. The salad and veggie pizza were great as well.
