If you're looking for a no-frills Chinese delivery/takeout spot in the Boston area, you have to give Brigham Circle Chinese Food a try! I found the place browsing for Chinese food on one of the major food delivery apps. The reviews were solid and most importantly, they offered a solid menu. They are your typical, no-frills takeout/delivery spot. You'll find all the typical favorites: pu pu platters, crab rangoons, wings, potstickers/dumplings, egg rolls/spring rolls, spare-ribs, and so much more. In addition to all the favorite starters, they offer an extensive menu of typical Chinese-American fare. You'll find favorites like orange chicken, general chicken, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken with vegetables, and so much more! You'll also find a solid selection of "Chef's Specialities", which I highly recommend! They truly have something for everyone on the menu! They are also one of the few spots that offer my favorite, Egg Foo Young! We decided to start off with the "Pu Pu Platter", which is unique to New England. The portion size was generous and the food was piping hot. Everything was crisp and not overly greasy, as some spots tend to be. All dipping sauces were included, nothing missing. Next, we decided to order the pan-fried pork dumplings/pot stickers. The small portion is roughly 5-6 dumplings. They also offer a large portion. They were some of THE BEST dumplings I have had one the East coast! Here, the dumplings are LOADED with meat. It isn't all dough like some places! They were piping hot and pan-fried to perfection, not overly oily like some places tend to be. I wish I had ordered the large portion, they were phenomenal! For the main course, we decided to order the "Triple Delight Speciality". This is also commonly known as "Happy Family" in the Midwest and other places! It is beef, chicken, and shrimp with mixed vegetables in a brown gravy/sauce. It offers a bit of everything and is my typical go-to. We ordered the SMALL portion size and it was plenty to feed two adults! The meat was some of the most tender I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. The beef and chicken melt in your mouth. It isn't chewy, gristly, or low-quality like you sometimes get other places. My only complaints are two things: The shrimp and the consistency of the gravy/sauce. Typically, most Chinese restaurants use regular size shrimp. Here, they use "salad" shrimp that are the size of your fingernail. Sadly, they were not firm and plump. Instead, they were a bit limp and soggy due to their size. They cook well before the rest of the ingredients and likely just get too soft. I'd love to see bigger and better quality shrimp used, especially in a specialty entree. As for the sauce/gravy, I am used to a bit thicker consistency. I found the gravy to be just a bit too runny/watery. It could've had a bit better flavor/seasoning. Overall, the quality of the entree was solid. The portion size was generous and it does come with plain white rice. Lastly, we decided to split the House Fried Rice. We ordered the small, which was plenty for two adults to enjoy WITH an entree. The fried rice is cooked perfectly and is loaded with chicken, shrimp, pork, and more! We love the portion size for the money and the selection they offer. There truly is something for every taste! Orders are always accurate, packed well, and delivered piping hot! Service is FAST, they had my entire order out for delivery in less than 15-minutes. I would highly recommend this spot to those looking for no-frills, Chinese-American takeout/delivery. We have ordered from here multiple times this month, it never disappoints and ALWAYS hits the spot! Portion size always ensures a delicious lunch the following day!

Food (0.5/2):Unappetizing but edible. Granted, I mostly just went for the fried race (typically a safe bet). The portions you get are generally large and filling though. Nothing much else to say--it's just standard Chinese food. Service/wait-time/cleanliness (1.5/2):I always order to-go so not sure about "service" in general. However, for a to-go, they were very kind, and responsive. Wait-time is generally quick (for a fried rice). Cleanliness is uncertain but from taking a peek at their kitchen...it does seem a bit ?? but probably safe (maybe?).Price (0.5/1):Some dishes felt too expensive for the "quality" but otherwise very cheap for the portion that we get. Rounded to 3 stars b/c generally a good experience.

Genuinely one of the best Chinese takeout places I've tried- everything was fresh and flavorful without being overly heavy or salty. The vegetables especially were cooked well, no sogginess! Loved how the chicken & beef wasn't old, and the noodles were nice & saucy. Great hole in the wall place!
