Brick & Bell Cafe

Bakery goods the best anywhere. The blueberry muffins had more blueberries than muffin! I totally love this place.I come every time I visit La Jolla which is often.

This is a very cute little cafe tucked in a quaint and very walkable area of La Jolla shores. There is some seating inside, some tables out front on the sidewalk and even a few hidden shaded tables out in the alleyway behind the building. Tried a large iced vanilla latte, overall it was OK. Their vanilla syrup is VERY sugary, which is not how I prefer my iced lattes. I could only drink about half before I had to give up on it because the sugar was too overpowering. Pricing was decent for a drink of that size though, just quality was kind of lacking.However, I also picked up a bag of their homemade Palmier cookies and they are amazing! Not too sweet, crunchy, light and very delicious. I would certainly go back if I was in town again just to pick up another bag of those cookies.

This is a very cute cottage but the food and drinks are ok. I got a hot latte and a matcha latte. Both were decent. I read a review that the blueberry muffins were really good. They were also ok. Mine was a bit dry. the servers and staff were lovely.

I was looking for a coffee shop to do some computer work after my La Jolla beach session. I bump into Brick & Bell cafe. It's cute and homey. It had front outdoor seating, indoor and back outdoor seating. Employees were kind to me greeted me. I order a Sunrise Sandwich, they used a bagel, I had a choice of everything bagel, sesame or regular. I choose sesame as my bagel choice. It had eggs and cheddar cheese I also added turkey sausage for an additional 0.50 cent, I wasn't disappointed. The sandwich was delicious. I love the vibe of this shop and the food. I will come again when I'm in the area.

Chagaccino was phenomenal! Got the 16oz with almond milk and extra shot of espresso. Reasonably priced and was a very cute cafe vibe.

My partner & I visited right before our little road trip because we heard the pastries are really good. It looked super cute and seemed to be a local favorite. I will say, the banana bread and scone we got was so good. It wasn't dry or too sweet which we loved. However, a couple of stars were taken off because the service was okay. When we were ordering, we couldn't hear the cashiers voice, so we were confused when she asked us a question. She seemed really annoyed and we felt bad because she had to repeat herself. But despite that, she just stared at us as if we were dumb so I had to ask her if she was asking me which type of bread I wanted. I apologized to her because I couldn't hear her properly due to the loud ambiance of the cafe, but she just asked if we were done ordering. It was an awkward encounter but nonetheless their pastries are good!

Home to perfect Açaí bowls - the homemade granola combined with the Açaí blended to the right amount of thickness (the way smoothie bowls should be!) really made Brick and Bell a frequent stop during my time in La Jolla. The granola is so good I came back just to get the granola! you can also ask for the granola without fruit if you prefer.

Appreciate this cafe - they have great selection of fun baked goods, very friendly, and a comfortable local vibe. I appreciate there is Oatly oatmilk. Tried the matcha which has good flavor! Definitely worth stopping in!

RUDE. Dingy place with attitude. Food and drink selection was okay and convenient location.

A cute little coffee spot to enjoy a cup of coffee/quick breakfast. I've tried this place twice and have enjoyed the iced caramel macchiato and the lox bagel every time.Welcoming and fast service is always evident at this location as well so I will keep this as one of my go-to places.
