What a lovely little Breakfast House location! The interior is clean and bright. The staff was helpful and service was quick. Manager, Lauro, introduced himself and ensured our meal was excellent (it was). I really appreciate the hospitality and community vibe (: I will definitely return, with friends and family in tow.

Great addition to our neighborhood! Nice outdoor sidewalk seating for people and dogs. Strong service.The pancakes, waffles, corn cakes and fried chicken are particular stand outs. Coffee is robust. Everything is pretty relaxed.We'll keep coming back

My new favorite breakfast place. You've got to try the chicken and the waffles. The chicken is just as good if not better than the fried chicken my grandmother used to make when I was a kid. They serve a lovely citrus, mustard sauce on the side, but the taste of the chicken stands on its own.

The food was great and the price was great. Less than $40 for two people in the city? The service was quick and friendly and you can tell the owner cares. The caramel latte was also very good and it is so bright and clean on the inside. They also have the most adorable uptown neighborhood chalk drawing right now with the Up characters. Great addition to the neighborhood!!!

Breakfast places are one of the most popular restaurant formats. Most menu items are simple and can be made at home. Unfortunately, many people do not have the time or inclination to make a good breakfast.Breakfast House is a breakfast restaurant empire with several locations. We walked to our usual coffee place on Lawrence and saw balloons for an opening. We then saw that Breakfast House has an Uptown location.The space is nicely done and quite large. We were the second customer to walk in, and the service was welcoming. We sat in a comfy booth and ordered coffee (they showcase Intelligentsia) and apple french toast. The food was well-plated and good. Given they are in startup mode, the waiter offered us a tasting of the Chilaquiles and the Chorizo Hash. They make their own hash (which many restaurants do not) and the plating and flavors were great.This is a very good addition to East Lawrence.
