First time experience here. My Father told me about this place. Upon entering I felt welcome and the place is clean and open. The decorations such as the Cherry Blossoms gave me the warmth feeling of Japan. Reggie was our server. He was very kind and attentive. We ordered the following ....*Rock Shrimp Tempura -fried white shrimp, sweet chili sauce and spicy mayo*Chicken teriyaki Chicken Teriyaki Bento (Lunch special) - Chicken teriyaki lunch box with mix tempura, salad, rice, and four pieces of snow krab*Scallops *Miso Soup -House-made miso soup*Tempura vegetables -deep fried / tempura sauce*Seaweed salad -Seasoned seaweed salad with yamagobo. The following Sushi rolls ... *Spider Roll -top: soy paper / eel sauce. in: nori / soft shell crab / krab mix / cucumber / avocado*Lost at Seatop: salmon / lemon / micro cilantro / ponzu. in: krab mix / cucumber*Crunchy Rolltop: tempura flake / eel sauce. in: shrimp tempura / krab mix / cucumber / avocado*Chicken Teriyakichargrilled chicken / teriyaki sauce / caramelized onion / rice / house saladEVERYTHING was delicious. The flavors and notes were on point. Not too salty or oily and lots of flavor notes! There wasn't anything I didn't like. Lots of leftovers to bring home and share the patience. I will be back.

Customer concerns, especially when they have to do with your kid's food order, are definitely not prioritized here!We requested 2 orders of plain yakisoba noodles (no veggies, no protein). What was brought out amounted to about 4 oz. of noodles per order (if that) which I assumed must of been their kids size. It was not. They charged us $14 for each, as if it were their entree size that would normally include other toppings/ingredients. With my kids still visibly hungry, I asked the waiter if the portion amount was correct and why we were being charged so much for such a little portion. The waiter was unwavering, stating the noodles come in pre-packaged amounts and that any extra package that was opened would be essentially a whole entree order. He stated nothing could be done about it. Some time later the manager stopped by on her own accord (likely aware of our displeasure) and pretty much stated the same thing, that the order looks small because it's missing veggies or chicken and that nothing can be done about it. By then we were pretty much over it, and she didn't really care that I would make other patrons aware of our bad experience (hence this review).I do not usually take the time to write a negative review for a restaurant because I know how difficult the industry and job can be, however in this case I feel obligated to. I live in Carmel Mountain and have been here before, and have spent a fair share of money here over the years. But I will be spending that money elsewhere, at sushi establishments that are much more family friendly and won't rip you off without hesitating one bit.

Last night, our family wanted to share dinner together after a crazy week of activities with my granddaughter's graduation from BMMS, my other granddaughters promotion from 6th grade to 7th grade and we wanted sushi so we went to Boto Sushi, our normal, at least once a month family Sushi restaurant. We always try to ask for Yuka, or wonderful waitress who has a wonderful sense of humor and always provides great service. The six of us all ordered the meals we wanted - the other 5 sushi rolls.I wasn't craving sushi so I ordered their Chicken Katsu which is usually excellent, well, . . . . . last night it was TERRIBLE. So, my plate came out pretty fast, . . . . . . . . and the chicken was cold, the rice was cold and the Cole slaw was sopping wet. It was obvious that this plate had set out somewhere for 10-20 minutes. So, I complain to one of the younger guys and tell him the chicken is cold and he asked if I wanted it reheated and I said, "NO, . . . .this was not freshly made, everything on the plate was cold and I am a regular here and I often get the chicken katsu and it is NEVER cold like this!"3-5 mins later he returns with only the chicken in a bowl and it was obviously microwaved and the rice and the Cole slaw was missing. The young man runs off. 3-5 mins later he returns with a bowl of rice, and again the rice is cold. Like, . . . .WTH?So, I go find Yuka and tell her that I don't want any of this cold Chicken Katsu that was microwaved and to take it off my dinner order and I am not paying for it.Then like 10-15 mins later, the sushi starts to come out for the rest of the table.I am just thankful Yuka was there and she made sure the rest of the orders were delivered correctly. We have been going to Boto Sushi for years and it has NEVER been like this and I have never received such an insulting meal handed to me that was either a return from another table or just left off and forgotten and then served to me.

3.5 starsNice decor, quick service. Ama ebi nigiri was great- fried the head really well. Didn't realize the market price on it though ($20!).The nigiri bento - not sure if it was worth it- I really got buyer's remorse when I saw the chicken bento. The 3 nigiri were OK- good sizedfish portion but the rice was pretty bland, and the sushi roll was okay- never had that wrap (Instead of nori/seaweed) before, definitely different- the tempura shrimp inside wasn't crispy.Macron ice cream sandwich was good - but matcha flavor wasn't that strong, and the macron crumbles a little more than it is chewy when it's not frozen. Overall if I came back I think I would try the other meal options like curry, ramen, and noodles instead of the sushi.

3.5 stars for the food and an extra 0.5 stars for their playlist, because that was my playlist! got seated immediately without needing reservations on a Friday night. The server was quick but nice, which may not always be the case in Asian restaurants. We got the salmon and blue tail tuna sashimi and the El Puesto and Lost at Sea rolls. I also got hot sake. The sashimi was pretty good. I liked the salmon more than the tuna. Among the rolls, the El puesto was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't really spicy. The sauce and the jalapeno didn't do much heat wise. It was good but I expected a kick. The Lost at Sea was supposed to be a mild roll and it was tasty. The sake could also have had more of a kick. It felt a little buttery. Is this the best sushi I've had? No. Will I come back here again? Yes, because it is good food and their music is awesome :)

Love the happy hour here! It's fun and easy with a Dairy Queen right next door. Great for kids after school snack or just catching up in the day. It's usually pretty empty so it's easy to find a table. The food isn't superb but it's good for what you pay!

***NOT RECOMMENDED*** What a FAILURE. As every parent knows getting your 7 yr old kid to eat anything (especially trying fish or sushi) is always a challenge. We have been to Boto Sushi ~10 times for their Happy Hour. Decent fish at a good price. And they always help us with the customization of our son's food order. Meaning please put an ingredient (like cucumbers or crab mix on the side). Sometimes my son feels like eating it and some times he doesn't. For whatever reason the waitress said that is a customization and we would need to pay full price for the food (not happy hour price). I'm not sure what the issue is. So you are no longer helping our son get his food the way that makes it easier for him to eat it, just like you did every other time we went here. So we've decided we can no longer support your business. No thank you. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Amazing. I saw a post about them and had just never been. Why? No clue. So when my friend asked to have lunch this was the 1st on my list to try. My new favorite place for sushi. Legit!I mean a true Japanese style menu. Items I rarely or never see anymore. Their fish, scallops melt in your mouth. The service was good, they were really nice and helpful. Professional. It was lunch time. They have a array of sake. Their prices are competitive. Just the best, so happy I finally tried them. I feel stupid for waiting so long. The atmosphere isn't anything to write home about which is probably why. Decent sized sushi bar. Tables, clean. Nothing warm inside I guess is a good way to describe. But fantastic food!

The rolls were decent, not great but not bad either tbh. There wasn't any kicks to these rolls. The presentations of these rolls are eye catching lol. Service was great, they have big space so great for big group

Great sushi place. I haven't been here in awhile. Its probably been more than a couple of years. My husband and I went here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all and the servers were very nice and attentive. The rolls were very yummy.
