We had the BEST time at What a Soup. Their wait staff is beyond incredible and knew exactly what to recommend us. They have the cutest wall art which is perfect for picture taking and for families looking for a cute place to bring kids. Their menus are also adorable as they are made in a comic book style. We got the Chili Wontons, Giant Shumai, Creamy Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Beef Boat Noodle Soup, Basil Crispy Pork, Fried Chicken Tendon, Thai Iced Tea, Pandan Drink, and the Crispy Pork Slenders. All of those menu items are a must get. Especially the Chili Wontons, those are perfect. All menu items have bold, yet comforting flavors for the perfect bite. The owner, Jake, is so kind! He came over and told us all about their cooking process. They make all their pork slenders in house. They spend 10 hours dehydrating the pork and then air fry them during the day so everything is fresh!

Amazing food, nice interior, and super busy!We got a creamy Tom Yum noodle soup, Beef Noodle Soup, and a Thai Tea.Beef noodle soup - 8/10, it was very flavorful. Filled with spices, thick/heavy soup but still so delicious. I would compare it to Pho as they both have rice noodles with herb/spices flavored soup, the beef flavor is definitely there too but a little overshadowed by the spices. The toppings (beef, meatballs, crisps) were a good portion. It definitely is a heavier bowl and I like it with a drink to go with so I can cleanse my palate.Creamy Tom Yum Noodle - My favorite, it's a 9/10. The noodles are like an instant ramen noodle texture. The Tom yum flavor is sour but I love sour soups so it was right up my alley. The portion was decent, I was full after I finished. There aren't much toppings, 3 pieces of crispy pork (not my favorite because it was a little hard and chewy), 2 pieces of shrimp (fresh and nicely cooked), and some bean sprouts. The Thai tea was refreshing and I was able to taste the tea, not overwhelmingly sweet which I prefer. The wait was super long, one waitress was serving everyone and all the tables were full, with more people waiting outside + people waiting for their take out. We waited over 30m for our order to be taken and then another 15m for our water. But the waitress was super sweet and gave us a free Pandan drink for making us wait. Overall, we had a good time and would definitely return to try other menu items!

This restaurant had been on my list for a while because who doesn't want reasonably priced Thai noodles?!We went for an early lunch, so there was no wait, and we were greeted with great enthusiasm by the wait staff. The place itself is small and cozy. And all the dishes came out very fast in like 10 minutes. Of course, we had to start with the crispy pork slender ($9.95). These pork belly cubes are very crispy, and the sour sauce balances out the greasiness of the pork. The pork ball boat noodle soup ($16.95) has a massive pork ball that looks deceivingly scrumptious, but in reality, it's greasy and oddly seasoned. The soy broth is very rich, and by that I mean it's extremely salty. The pork belly bites, which should be crunchy, are instead somewhat soggy. The beef boat noodle soup ($17.95) is equally salty but less greasy. Overall, both soups are just meh.

This restaurant specializes in Thai noodle soup. Everything I order was tasty! You know that the restaurant is legit when the owner is passionate about her food and always there to help out the. There are street parking, but a little bit tricky since it's very limited spots. I love the graphics on the wall, create a different atmosphere as soon as you step into the restaurant. I love their drinks too. Definitely will be back. I love their Thai tea custard!!!!!

We started with the pork belly skewers, which were flavorful but a little but too much fat. Would be perfect if there were a little bit of the charcoal smell to it. The broth from both creamy tom yum and boat noodle is rich, bold and full of aroma. Would come back to try the other dishes

Came here on a Monday evening and the place was pretty busy for a weeknight, but we had no issue getting a table for the six of us. The space was a bit cramped, but felt pretty homey and comfortable otherwise. Service was all right - waters were filled pretty frequently and food came out pretty fast. They were also extremely courteous and quick to rectify a mistake - the skewers came out a bit raw and they replaced them fast as well as took them off the bill which was very kind of them.Their menu had a good mix of dishes ranging from apps to entrees - most of us got noodle soup and each were pretty fantastic. The portions are pretty big, but I think they matched the prices fairly. I would love to come back and try some of their other bowls.Dessert was okay - I liked both custards, but probably wouldn't order again. It was nice to try though. Overall, I found the bowls to be the highlight for sure and would gladly return to try some of their other dishes. Thanks, What A Soup!

Very solid Thai spot serving more authentic food than most. Not a spot for you typical pad thai or drunken noodles but if you love Tom Yum or Kaprow this is your spot. Service and food is super fast. Enjoyed a lot!

As a Thai person, the boat noodles here are pretty authentic! We ordered the beef noodle soup, seafood tom yum soup, pork skewers, and the chilli wontons, and everything was a 10/10. The service was also really good, they kept checking up on us and refilling the water. Definitely recommended!!
