Yum! Loved everything except one of the specialty rolls with torched tuna, which wasn't very fresh (likely older tuna).

There are plenty of sushi takeout options in Cambridge, most of which are pretty mediocre, but Wasabi at Porter seems to be a bit higher in quality so it may be my new favorite takeout spot. Prices are comparable to other sushi spots in Cambridge. We sampled the Sushi Deluxe and the Wasabi Roll. The sushi deluxe included 10 pieces of nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and miso soup. The wasabi roll was new to me- it included tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, and wasabi fish roe, wrapped in soybean skin. Both were quite good quality with fresh fish, properly cooked rice, and properly formed nigiri and rolls. The miso soup came with lots of seaweed and tofu. It was plenty of food for 2 people. Delivery was fast. Overall would definitely re-order from them again.

Over the weekend I started craving sushi, but I have this thing where I don't like ordering raw fish sushi for delivery because I'm never sure how long it will sit out before arriving. I looked up Wasabi at Porter and decided that I'd order a bunch of cooked or veggie rolls - I got the Avocado And Cucumber Roll, Fancy Salmon Skin Roll, Philly Roll (has smoked salmon), and the Boston Roll. The Avocado and Cucumber roll was my favorite (the Philly and Salmon Skin roll were great too), but I probably wouldn't order the Boston Roll again - everything was fine, but the flavor combination was just okay, in my opinion.I would definintely order from Wasabi at Porter again and I plan on actually going to the shop sometime. As an FYI - I'm not sure if this is the norm, but the food was delivered like 10 minutes after I placed the other. It was like witchcraft.

Another productive outing at Wasabi - I'll start with the weakest thing and then move on to the more excellent offerings.The Yaki Udon with Shrimp didn't work particularly well - the flavors were really ordinary, the shrimp a bit dry, and the udon seemed to continue cooking in the takeout container. The onions were thinly sliced and thus prepped nicely, but overall this dish didn't match the sushi offerings.The white tune sushi was good - could have been a bit more tasty, and the tuna itself was a bit stringy. Not sure if this is normal for this species of fish.The California rolls, standard on one hand, but generally fresh avocado and imitation crabmeat.The Incredible Roll contained some nice crispy shrimp tempura, with some imitation crabmeat topping that was well flavored. The cuts of shrimp and the avocado were fresh. Really nice dish.The Sumo Roll had soft shell crab with some spicy scallop on top. The spicy scallop ingredients were not quite as fresh as I would have liked them, but I'm being very picky here; same with the soft shell crab. Otherwise it would have been a most excellent roll.The Mt. Fuji Roll was a superstar, with some nice crunchy bits topped over spicy salmon, avocado, and shrimp. The balance of textures and flavors made it one of the best things tasted at this place.Looking forward to revisiting!

Please please please try the crab rangoon here!! You might think it is an odd thing to recommend but trust me it is different. The crab rangoon from Wasabi is filled with creamy garlicky crab goodness. My boyfriend and I crave this quite often. Sushi is great here too. Quite fresh and generous. But oh my goodness please try the crab rangoon

I got this place because it had 5 stars on grub hub. I ordered the no name roll and the Walden roll for delivery and the sushi was very fresh! They don't skimp on the fish but also the combination of other components in the sushi were really delicious, they have a wide variety of rolls on the menu too. I called to check on my order and the man who picked up was very nice. Would order again.

Had the ebi mango roll- with shrimp, mango, and cucumber. Tasty and fresh. Pretty, with the mango on top. Friends had the avocado roll and the chicken teriyaki (which came with soup and rice). Unfortunately, the wait was twice as long as what they said it would be over the phone, which put a damper on the friend's dinner experience who picked it up :/.
