As a die hard fan of gong cha...this may be my new favorite boba tea place. The calories are crazy for one drink but who cares cause it's such a treat! In comparison to Gong Cha I do find that The Alley is much sweeter. If you normally get 50% sugar in Gong Cha, I recommend getting 25% sugar here. Here are the drinks I've tried and I'll also leave you my customization:Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brûlée Milk --Strong ube flavor and the crème brûlée are silky. I ordered 25% sugar and less ice. Still ever slightly too sweet but would not complain. I have ordered this drink 3x.Royal No. 9 Milk Tea -- If you are a die hard milk tea fan, you must order this. You can really taste the tea flavor! I normally do not order milk tea but at The Alley it is one of my go to orders. I find other boba places milk tea very light. I ordered 25% sugar, less ice, and added boba.Original Purple Rice Yogurt -- If you like the taste of plain Greek yogurt (the slightly sour taste) or yakult you will like this. This drink contains purple rice and jelly. The purple rice gives it a very so slightly charred rice flavor. I ordered 25% sugar (cannot adjust ice level). I recommend mixing it well before drinking. This is an interesting drink and I've ordered this 2x.

My partner and I shared an ube brown sugar deerioca creme brûlée milk -TASTE: 5/5 - was pleasantly surprised! I usually find ube-flavored things to not be strong enough, but the ube came through nicely here. We got Less Sugar (50%) which was a good sweetness for us. Would come back to try more drinksTEXTURE: 5/5 - the tapioca was great: soft, chewy, and super satisfying against the smooth milk tea and creme brûlée PRICE: 4/5 - $8 totalSERVING SIZE: 4/5 - the right size for our post-dinner sweet treatSERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 7pm on a Thursday and a couple tables were filled. Ordered at the self-service kiosk and our drink was ready in less than 5 minutesATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - bright, minimal space w an impressive amount of seating PARKING: 4/5 - got a free street spot on McConville Way

This new boba spot is top notch! The lychee green tea is my favorite - 50% sweet (light ice, always) is perfect, it has a strong tea flavor and is well-balanced. The drink comes with their house-made lychee jelly, which is SOOO good. They must soak the jelly in tea because it has a strong floral tea taste to it. I usually add extra boba to get my boba fix and to drown myself in toppings. The boba is always nice and chewy. The store itself is quite large with plenty of seating and is brightly lit - I could picture myself doing some work here if I was back in my studying days.

The drinks were good and unique. The wait was long but I understand it was newly opened.Very unique taste. Their signature Ube Brown Sugar is definitely worth it. Not many boba stores carry Ube and if you're into the taste of Ube, you will love this drink. The drink is creamy and not overly sweet. The bobas are nicely cooked and chewy. The other drinks (Brown Sugar Creme Brulee with Pudding and Matcha Purple Rice Yogurt with Green Tea Jelly) were alright, nothing that stands out from other boba shops. The green tea jelly is refreshing and not too sweet, I really liked it as someone who's not into super sweet drinks. For the Matcha Yogurt, I personally found it to be sour and a little bitter. Which is expected from a combination of Matcha and Yogurt, I thought the purple rice/jelly would've made it sweeter.Interior is really white and an open space, not really a cozy vibe and didn't make me feel like I'd wanna sit and relax. The tables are also really closely packed, so if you want more privacy, I would suggest going elsewhere.Overall, worth a visit if you live in the area or plan to visit!

I had the Alley once in Toronto and it was amazing so I was excited when I found out there was location in Quincy. We stopped by for a boba run. I got the brown sugar Deerioca crème brûlée and it was good but even at 25% sugar it was still too sweet. The passionfruit green tea was good. I love the creative drinks here but the sugar levels is a little too much. Interior was super classy. Very limited parking on the street.

I didn't think I would love it but I came back the next day for more Ube Creme Brulee Milk. It's definitely more of a Dessert drink so prepare to be full off it. Passionfruit green tea & Orange peach oolong tea were both on the sweeter side so I would ask for less sugar or even half sugar. They only have one size now but their other franchises had the smaller sizes which are so cute. Wonder if they will have that option in the future.

First impressions - it looks like an Ikea store its so white and office vibe inside LOL. The drinks were great and came out fast and presentable. The brown sugar milk tea is a classic and the brown sugar boba is soo sweet. I like this brown sugar milk tea a lot better than other places. I have a sweet tooth! The star of the show is definitely the ube brown sugar creme brulee milk tea. It is their top 1 and I definitely see why. It looks amazing and tastes great! I really like the creme brulee in it its a great texture. The boba is also soft and chewy. They also have croffles which is a mix of a croissant and waffle. I got the creme brulee croffle but it looks kind of dull and boring. I didn't really like the frosting on top because I imagine that creme brulee would have a crunchy sugar top, but it was kind of just like eggy frosting. The waffle itself was good, very chewy. Overall, beautiful drinks, fast service, and tastes great!

I'm normally not a bubble tea drinker but when I do, I usually get something with taro. I tried their Ube taro with brown sugar boba. I must say, it was really good lol I would definitely get it again if I'm in the area. I got less sugar but might have to try regular sugar. I highly recommend trying it.The passion fruit though, not my cup of tea at all lol it was a weird combo of passion fruit and green tea along with lychee and boba lol When you walk in, it's spacious and bright and clean. Definitely a nice hang out spot. Great staff. Super friendly. They have a kiosk where you can go up and order. That's super convenient.

The Alley has finally come to Massachusetts! The Alley is a super popular boba chain with fun drinks. I came during their soft opening so their entire menu was not yet available, but we got their Ube Brown Sugar Deeroica Creme Brulee Milk and the Assam Milk Tea. The service was super friendly and the person taking my order told me the Ube Brown Sugar Deeroica Creme Brulee Milk has been really popular but their favorite that they recommend is the Assam Milk Tea. In my opinion, the Ube drink was quite sweet but tasty. I like the pudding at the bottom, it made the drink unique! If I were to get that again, I'd ask for 50% sweetness. The Assam Milk Tea was quite rich and was perfect at 100% sweetness. The boba was soft as well; it tasted freshly made. The interior of the store is quite pretty and modern. There are a lot of tables and chairs and I can see it as a good study place since there are tons of outlets scattered around the store (especially near the main bench area). Would definitely come back once the store isn't too busy as even during the soft opening, there were so many customers! Since the store is in Quincy Center, expect parking to be tough. There is limited street parking if you don't want to park in the (in my opinion, overpriced) city garage. Otherwise, if you're not driving, The Alley is a few minutes away from the train station and near a bunch of bus stops so it's super accessible.
