"I went to La Brasa last week at 124 Broadway, Somerville, MA. This spot features a wide variety of elevated dishes from around the worldFor appetizers we had the beet salad which had beets, fennel, apple, and mustard. We also had the elote which is Mexican street corn and flautas which were fried tortillas with meat inside. Finally, for apps we had the deviled eggs which had onion and chipotle aioli. For main dishes we had the squid ink pasta. This pasta was so fresh and homemade (so if you like the taste of fish this one is for you!)For dessert we had the banana pudding with ice cream. This had a great balance of sweetness. Would order this again! My personal favorites we had were the the street corn and the deviled eggs. Each dish was elevated in such a way that you just wanted to eat more and more of it!This is the perfect spot to meet a friend or have a nice date. The ambiance is classy and romantic check it out if you are in the area!Affordability: 6/10Ambiance: 8/10Food: 8/10"
"Becca was awesome. It's at a great location plenty of parking for free. The Establishment itself is so beautiful, they have outdoor seating and a patio that has a fireplace. The boots are very comfy and super spacious. We went for my daughter's 18th birthday, the food was all right. I had the crusted haddock, there's this sauce that comes on it that I didn't particularly like. I didn't like the crust on the haddock as well so I barely ate it. My asparagus was good, and the mashed potatoes are delicious as well. I couldn't decide between the meatloaf and the haddock so I ended up getting a headache and the meatloaf to go. This is where I messed up I should have went with the meatloaf because it was so freaking good. I suggest that on the menu above anything else. I also tried the burger the salmon and the rotisserie chicken. I sampled a little bit of everybody's food and trust me the meatloaf is the best. Becca suggested this Sauvignon Blanc and it was really good so shout out to her"

Visit Restaurant Page"open on christmas eve, stopped in for dinner. kathy was our server and she was great.they offer ciabatta bread to start, and i started with the clam chowder. the chowder was pretty good, just a little bit thin. i ordered the french martini, but i believe i ended up with the eggnog martini? it was great but not peachy. great mystery drink!for my meal, i had the Surf and Turf broiled scallops and steak tips, medium rare. the steak tips were perfect, i'd definitely order them again. it was my first time trying breaded scallops and i wasn't a fan, and they could have used some garlic or something a little extra, but they were fresh and big. my friend ordered the Panko Crusted Chicken which was also great, as well as the asparagus.clam chowder: 4/5broiled scallops: 3.5/5steak tips: 5/5panko chicken: 4.5/5eggnog martini?: 5/5overall everything was pretty delicious, wasn't the biggest fan of the scallops but they were a good size. very reasonably priced and great service for a holiday dinner. thank you for being open. ambiance: 4.5/5food: 4.3/5drink: 5/5service: 5/5jimmy's: 4.7/5"
"Hubby and I stopped in during their opening week and wow, what a beautiful modern rustic space. The top floor was not opened yet but it will be the spot for cocktails with a view once it's open. That said, we had a few kinks likely because it was their opening week and service was a bit mixed. Great detail to our table but staff didn't seem to be as knowledgeable about the restaurant's food and process. No one could tell us whether they validated for the Parcel 7 garage (they do in case you're wondering) and they got our order mixed up -- ordered Short Rib Caramelle but got the Braised Short Rib entree instead. Food ordered: Crab cakes, oysters, octopus, lobster dumplings, lobster tacos and short rib pasta. All tasted good enough though there wasn't a specific dish that had the WOW factor and the serving size leaned more to the skimpy end. We ordered 7 dishes between the 2 people and left "not starving". To put it in context, dishes were even smaller than single orders of spanish tapas. Overall, it's a great place to people watch and enjoy some cocktails but if you're not ordering a hefty steak dish, you will order quite a few dishes to make it a filling meal."
"This place is truly amazing! They have got it all, the seafood dishes are fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. We started out with oyster rocafella, then seared salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus , sword fish topped with jumbo shrimp and spinach , and grilled halibut with roasted carrots. We also got a coconut cream brûlée for dessert. The service was helpful and friendly. The place is a nice, casual elegance fell. I really look forward to go back again soon!"
"Best alternative that they can have at the mall for healthier food since Subway disappeared. Was very impressed with the size of the salads. All their food is made with fresh ingredients. So that's a plus -because at the actual food court you're not going to encounter that.Husband had the steak plate and loved it. Friendly customer service as well."
"Overall, our dinner at B&BS&C was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It wasn't perfect, as there were a few missteps along the way. But in each case, the issue was quickly corrected to our satisfaction and a credit to our serving team. The quality of the service, food, and atmosphere were top notch. On being seated, one thing that surprised me was that we were not given a wine list of wines by the bottle, just the drink list with wines by the glass. This list is available upon request, and perhaps they either don't have enough of the lists to go around, or many customers don't order wines by the bottle. They can be pricey here. But we were able to find a bottle of Spanish red wine we really liked at a reasonable price.Meal options are "talked through" quite well, food comes out quickly, and we were checked on constantly. My strip steak, while cooked exactly to order, was seared slightly more than expected. Everything else was spot on.Our biggest issue was with the oyster sampler. We ordered the sampler of 4 oysters, but 6 were brought to us. I told our server that we had only ordered 4, and he said our waiter gave us the other 2 gratis. However, when we received our check, we saw that we were indeed charged for them. After pointing this out, we were compensated quickly, but I suggest that if you order oysters and don't get the same number as you ordered, check your bill. That being said, the oysters were delicious! All in all, it was a fine and delicious evening. It's ironic that there's a B&BS&C only a couple of minutes from my home, yet I came to this one, 3 hours away, first... gotta hit the one in Albany now."
"It took 8 years, but we finally made it back to Pellana! First went here in 2016 when our son graduated from Endicott College. Went again 9/1 for brunch after his wedding in Danvers. Roberto was our waiter, and he was very friendly and attentive. Our party of 4 all had amazing food, and they dressed up the creme brûlée with a congratulatory chocolate card for the new bride. I had a crab cake appetizer, and the scallops over lobster risotto. Both were phenomenal. Everyone else had steak, and raved about them. I had a couple bites of my daughter in law's filet, and it was awesome. Great food, great service. I wish we lived closer, we would be here much more often"
"We've been here a couple times and it's been a Boston tradition at this point. We always sit at the bar and was always so enthralled with the caricatures that was painted in the walls. They're the regulars that have earned a spot in the wall. We sat down and I ordered an Italian 75 from their cocktail menu. I was really impressed with the drink list as well as this cocktail. Fantastic take on the French 75!We were only here for a short while so we ordered shrimp cocktail and some oysters. Both were delicious and tasted very fresh. We sat a bit at the bar and then planned out the rest of our day. Great place!"
"Had their burger which was beyond huge. The put everything including bacon. Their fries had some Parmesan which was appreciated. Service was kind and efficient. Would def come back"
"I came here with my foodies club in a party of 13 and we had a great time! Due to our party size, we were seated in what is effectively a private dining room downstairs that has a beautiful wine wall as its backdrop. It made the experience feel both intimate and exclusive. Our server, Brian, was not only very helpful with menu recommendations but he also got all the right angles for our group photos! We came for Dine Out Boston week and were happy to have a great meal. I started with the Wagyu dumplings with ginger, lemongrass broth, which was really an interesting appetizer. The lemongrass certainly came through in the broth and it was an enjoyable dish. I follow this with the hanger steak with peppercorn sauce, which was cooked perfectly at medium. I could've used a touch more of the sauce, but that is just a personal preference. The star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce. Chef's kiss! This was the best dessert I have had in recent memory. The cake was moist but not overly so, and I could've drunk a gallon of the butterscotch sauce. I wish I were still eating it right now! Move over, other steakhouses. Boston Chops is here to stay!"
"Came here for a work-related dinner (meal served along with an educational talk) with a large group - so didn't really choose from any drinks or entrees but had a chance to try a salad and one of the pasta dishes (penne bolognese).Arugula salad with shaved parmesan cheese - was quite good - liked the flavor on this a lot. Went well with black pepper seasoning which one of the servers added to taste (I asked for a lot and my wish was granted).Penne Bolognese with veal, beef, pork. Got this loaded up with extra parmesan cheese as well because why not. Overall a nice pasta dish and the penne was cooked perfectly. Would have been nice to have a little more fillings/meat but overall the flavor was balanced and I was satisfied."

The space was nice, the food was good but nothing too inspired or different and definitely overpriced for the small portions. Service was fine, nothing particularly special considering this was for a group birthday.

Very pleasant atmosphere. We had brunch with my husband's mom, had a cocktail with chicken and waffles, burger, Caesar salad with anchovies, and French o ion soup. The corn bread in a skillet was delicious slathered in cinnamon butter. Everything was delicious except that the chicken was unfortunately dry. The service was top notch.

Just found Jimmy's Steer House recently even though it been around for quite some time. It is owned by the same company that owns Grassfield's in Andover which I have also been many times. The interior is very nice, loads of booths. Cozy atmosphere. Huge bar. The restaurant accommodates and large number of guests and has at least one room that I saw for private parties. The first time we went there, we got potato skins and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. Very good. Hubby got Prime Rib and I got the Prime Club steak. My steak was super tender and delicious and his Prime Rib was also very good. The club steak also comes with a tasty Mushroom Madeira sauce. Next time he got the Prime Rib again and I, the Prime Club steak. Again, they were very tender and tasty. We went again the other night with my daughter and all three of us got the Prime Club steak. The waitress immediately said they were out of the club steak, but went and checked and said they had it. So, all three of us ordered it. All three steaks were not the usual tender and delicious and did not even look like the usual club steak. They had those white gristles in the meat and weren't tender at all. I can see one steak, but all three? I even questioned if it was even my usual club steak. On all three visits, we had the delicious rice, mashed potato or baked potato. The entrees also come with a very cold garden salad. We had their house Italian which is also very good. You also get Focaccia bread and butter. Coffee delicious and drinks very good as well. Every waitress we've had have been attentive and pleasant. Never rushed. Prices are very reasonable. On one visit, we ordered the Apple Strudel with ice cream which was super good. I will visit the restaurant again and I'm hoping my last visit was just a fluke. I will take David B's suggestion and get the clam chowder next time. And Dana M's post on the overall operation of the restaurant is right on par. You can see how well a restaurant is run by the service and quality of food. All in all very good.

Another Boston Restaurant Week visit, another delicious meal for a deal! Umbria did a great job making a menu for a low price of $46 per person. I enjoyed the iceberg wedge salad, a filet mignon and an apple pie for dessert. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, the overall ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Umbria would be a great place for a dinner with friends, or an intimate date. Hats off to the chef!

My mom and I were staying in the area for the night and got in late - this seemed to be one of the only spots open and serving food past 8pm.We walked in and were surprised that it seemed like a nicer place, but they didn't even bat an eye at us in casual clothing. We sat at the bar and had fantastic service all night. Both bartenders tandem served and it made for a great experience. They have an amazing wine menu, if I wasn't driving, I would have stayed for a couple more glasses. The bartender seemed knowledgeable as well.We shared a cheese board and it was so much food, we were pleasantly surprised. It was super high quality cheese too.We also got a strawberry pistachio dessert and it was top notch. Their pastry chef is very well trained. We had such a great time, I would highly recommend it.

Hello, we love our Greek foods, so not new to gyros, or shwarma....that being said. It's a mall fast food place....but, awesome beef shwarma, especially with the garlic/tahini sauce. I hate malls, but come here for this!!!

We sat at the bar, had 7pm reservations.SERVICE: outstanding. Friendly greetings. Dan, our bartender/server was attentive, personable and pleasant.BAR: comfy seats. My cosmo was made perfectly, although quite small. Not coupe glass small, but not adult size martini glass size. $15.FOOD: Pretzel bread yummy (complimentary). The French fries were crispy and the aioli was tasty. The bone in cowboy rib eye was cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes creamy. ATMOSPHERE: Warm, Classy, Inviting. Many table options from high tops, long tables, lounge and restaurant. Not too loud so you can have a conversation without shouting.Although we did not have a special celebration, the patrons next to us did. They got complimentary dessert with a special topper. It was special but not over the top. Classy.

Always have a good time, lunch is my favorite there. The food is amazing. The service from a lot of the waiters is amazing as well only had one bad waiter so that should not be reflected in the overall score because this place is the best.
Visit Restaurant Page"This restaurant has not been open long. So if you aren't one that can work with the kinks then this place may not be for you. I do have a high tolerance but when the whole time seems off you do become weary. When we walked in we were greeted, asked if we had a reservation and when asked if we wanted to sit in a booth we waited for 2 minutes since the table was not set up. Our initial waiter took our drink order and then said he would check in the back to see what meat was available in the back. Next thing you know we have a new waiter helping us. The 2nd waiter knew what he was doing. He seem like head honcho and made sure all the tables were running smoothly in that joint. To eat/drink we had the following:Moscow mule: wasn't very bubbly drink was flat and the ginger part wasn't really there. Didn't ask for a second drink so that should tell you how that went. Jumbo Shrimp cocktail: 4 jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce on the side. The shrimp was delicious and was good for 2 people. Ribeye Steak: got it medium and it was perfect. The ribeye was recommended to us by our waiter. Had good amount of meat and fat and was on a bone. I'm not sure if they season their steaks like a lot of steakhouses do but I added lemon and that did it for me. Broccoli: we got sautéed broccoli but there wasn't much to rave about. Kind of seem like broccoli you could find in those microwaveable steam bags. Overall the food was good (oh and they do give you break and butter when you sit down). As I said they are a new restaurant (the server said they opened last year) but I personally would probably wait a bit before I visit again."
"This is what I called old school no nonsense. Good food with good prices! They do not overcharge here, and the place is always packed because of the popularity. We were able to get seated at the bar and the service was very friendly and to the point and I certainly enjoyed my steak tips. They give a lot of food. I also enjoyed my side of rice pilaf, which is quite famous there, and the Avalanche ice cream was delicious with caramel...so good! The ambience is comfort casual but you're most likely see people in their 60s here... that's good since then know what's good and deals! By the way, they give the coolest bread which is like a giant pretzel!"
"Davio's offers, upscale Italian dining, in the heart of Boston proper, it's affluent Back Bay. It's close enough to the theater district to catch a meal before your show.Sadly, on the day we came for lunch, the service was very, very, very slow... Even though the place was empty. It took a half an hour for us to get our check, after we asked for it, and my friend was late for her doctors appointment. My friend dines there often, and claims this was atypical. I can only review my experience.I ordered the gluten-free pizza, and was pleasantly surprised to find it was pretty good. Keep your expectations realistic. The crust is gluten-free, and not gonna taste like Italian bread. But, it did taste like a chewy pastry bread. THE DEAL: if you're looking for some of the best gluten-free pizza in Boston, it might be at Davio's!"
"As someone who grew up eating at the original Chelsea location of Floramo's, I was thrilled to discover that they had relocated to Malden. And I am pleased to say that the quality of their food has not diminished in the slightest. My absolute favorite dish is their ribs. The meat is cooked to perfection and falls right off the bone with every bite. The seasoning is spot on, not too overwhelming but still flavorful enough to satisfy even the most discerning palate. This is the kind of dish that is so good, you'll find yourself picking at the bones long after you've eaten your fill.Their steak tips are equally delicious. The meat is tender and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. The seasoning is again spot on, perfectly balancing the saltiness with just the right amount of sweetness. In addition to their standout meat dishes, the sides are also noteworthy. The mashed potatoes are fluffy and buttery, the perfect complement to any main dish. The cornbread is moist and crumbly, with a hint of sweetness that will leave you craving more. And let's not forget about the service. The staff at Floramo's are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the perfect place for a family dinner or a date night.Floramo's is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough."
"Yummy tacos right in the middle of Newbury, so a great reprieve from the overpriced patio experiences on Newbury. $6 tacos and horchata? Definitely a vibe when you're starving from shopping / window shopping. It's not mind blowing but they do have horchata which is so hard to find at most Mexican restaurants in the area - so major points for that!"
"One of my favorite spots to go to for special occasions! Grill 23 & Bar has been around for many years now and does not have as much of a modern look as the newer steakhouses in Boston but the food still continues to win me over! I enjoy their fried calamari fra diavolo appetizerc seared scallops, and filet mignon oscar style! Desserts here are also a must. Lots of street parking available around, as well. I still think Grill 23 & Bar is a lot better than many of the newer spots... food quality & taste wise. An Oldie but STILL a goodie!"
"This is a steakhouse called Mooo.... what's a better name?! It's an exquisite and upscale spot in Boston that's great for a special occasion. The boyfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner and I was immediately surprised by the personalized menu they had for me with my name on it. They even held onto it to let you take it home afterwards, but we sadly forgot when we left.To start off, we got some complimentary bread and butter. The butter has a little mooo sign, which was cute. This was decent, nothing too special but nice to have while waiting for your meal to start. For cocktails, I had the Pigs Can Fly ($20), which was a bit too tart for me. The boyfriend had the Old and Cranky ($22), which was essentially an Old Fashioned. Next was the starters and I had the Maine Lobster Bisque ($24) while he had the Classic Caesar Salad ($20). We also shared the Prime Dry-Aged Meatballs ($24). The lobster bisque was amazing with chunks of lobster inside as well. Definitely gotta have some of that seafood when in Boston. The salad was also a huge plate with huge, crunchy croutons. The meatballs were a pass though as it wasn't anything too special and came with 3 pieces.I was already starting to get full already, but I was excited for the main course. I got the Tenderloin of Beef Wellington ($77) while he got the Creekstone Farms Prime Bone-in Dry Aged Ribeye ($95). As a fan of Gordon Ramsey and having had his infamous beef wellington, I was impressed by Jamie Mammano's version of this English dish. The layers between the pastry is beautifully done with the foie gras, spinach, mushroom duxelle, and filet mignon. These layers win this for me over Gordon Ramsey's and that says a lot. I only wish I could've enjoyed this dish more when I was reaching my stomach capacity. We also got a side of Onion Rings ($16), which was perfectly soft inside contrasting the crunchy panko and parmesan crust.Of course we had to finish off with a Classic Creme Brulee ($18). This dessert came out with a birthday writing on it as well, which was nice. It was quite a huge dish, so perfect to share with two or more. Overall, what a meal --food was amazing and service was impeccable. If you're looking to splurge, make a reservation here."
"This is an excellent place to eat.I have had the prime rib and the baked stuffed shrimp. I would say both of those meals are definitely two of the best options on their menu. Both of those dishes come with potatoes and vegetables. The stuffing they make for the shrimp is very flavorful and the meal is very filling. The prime rib always comes out to me cooked just the way I like it and is always delicious. They have plenty of comfortable seating and the waitstaff is always pleasant and provides excellent service.I always enjoy eating here."
"Okay, I am originally from New York and this seriously MIGHT be better than New York pizza! If not, it's a tie!!! This pizza is SO GOOD!!!!! It's also priced like old school pizza place prices! Two slices and a bottled drink for $5.50, you can't beat that!!!!! I have not had pizza this good in years! It is perfectly crunchy, cheesy and delicious!!! The crust is crispy but not rock hard or chewy! The staff were super friendly and helpful and it's in a great location! If you are wanting pizza GO HERE!!! It'll be the best decision you make today!!! I also got a slice of their cheesecake and it was wonderful too!!! This place is the best!!!"
"Really nice atmosphere- classic steakhouse vibes, so dark and moody. Our server was helpful and they even put a birthday candle in our dessert. Overall the food was good - we ordered a special, which was a dry aged porterhouse, but we wished we had gotten the ribeye. The porterhouse leaned pretty dry even at medium rare. I agree with others it would've benefited with more salt. I like the sauce flight option a lot but I wouldn't say the sauces are great. The patata bravas had a great seasoning but we were told they were crispy potatoes, and they came out very soft. The sticky toffee pudding was definitely the star of the night. It was well balanced for such a sweet dessert. Cocktails were also great. Just FYI valet was not available when we went since previous reviews had mentioned a valet. We also had an unfortunate experience with my reservation - it was cancelled due to another event and the manager left a message to reschedule us and offer complimentary drinks or appetizer. I called back and left a message to reschedule and asked if brunch also offered the dinner menu, and no one ever called me back or reached out to me so I just made a new reservation on my own. That left a bad taste in my mouth since I had reached back out with a question and no one followed up."
"Meats Meats! Meats! It's been a while since we've been to a Brazilian steakhouse so we were super excited to try Oliveira. We made reservations online and we were quickly seated as soon as we got there. We went with the first option on their dinner menu which was an all you can eat buffet and juicy meats served at your table. The restaurant is bustling and fast paced but we quickly got the rhythm down of flagging down the meat servers and asking for more. We did utilize the salad buffet but we didn't want to get too full because all we wanted was the meats! I liked the basket full of goodies that they served us as soon as we sat down. It was filled with yucca fries, plantains, bacon wrapped bread and Brazilian cheese bread. Everything was yummy! The meats did not disappoint! They were juicy and some were saltier than others which I love because I love salt! We couldn't get enough of the grilled pineapple that was like a nice palate cleanser in-between different meat tastings. They were also very generous with the slices, they cut up some beefy chunks of meat each time. By the end of dinner we were stuffed but very satisfied! I can't wait to dine here again! It was so much fun and so much food!"
"This is pasta heaven!Last night. chicken parmigiana and eggplant rollattini, It came with two little rolls with butter and sprinkle parmesan. Also was wrapped really well. I should have taken a picture last night but I didn't. HOWEVER they were so good I ordered there again tonight. Last night, the chicken parm was perfect, it wasn't mushy from the steam the cheese was browned up nicely and there was the perfect amount. While it shouldn't be the star of this dish... The Pasta. Whoever was on duty last night knew EXACTLY what they were doing. First thing I did when it arrived. Took a bite. Perfection. Al dente perfection. Back to the chicken this may sound weird, but I could tell that great care had been taken to ensure the thickness was consistent and that make a difference with the taste and crunch. 10/10 Eggplant Rollatini, another 10/10. This is one of my favorite dishes. The sauce was slightly sweet, the eggplant cooked/friend perfectly. The filling let's me know there is a god.The bread, in theory nothing special. But it was special. Care had been put into the packaging. It was also spongey enough to soak up sauce and had a nice chew. Tonight: Pappardelle al Tartufo. Amazing again. Great tasting mushrooms. Again pasta was on point. Caesar Salad: door dash said it was the number 1 most ordered thing. It kind of fell flat for me. The portion was small for a $14 salad, the lettuce was ok, fresh, but was missing the crunch I was looking for. Dressing is great. Little bread thing great. And solid portion of shaved cheese. Now general ramblings: Tartufo delivered. Things I think about prior to ordering pasta take away. It is always questionable. Will it be over cooked and mushy? Will it spill? Is the cheese going to be congealed? Will it be to temp?Their packaging was perfect. It seems like a lot. Separate bag for hot and cold, etc. The Saran Wrap over the plastic is appreciate by delivery drivers everywhere. Temp perfect and the delivery containers are durable enough to get reused. Definitely will repeat. I think next time I'm person!"
"I ate here for breakfast after a stay in the hotel. The restaurant looks fairly new and has a smattering of TVs around the area. I was traveling alone but noticed a couple families comfortably seated and enjoying their meals. The breakfast food was pretty good, nothing crazy. I suspect this restaurant has more to offer for lunch and dinner but I was out and about at those times."
"Thrilled with Bancroft in Burlington, Mass! A steakhouse that wins with its fish options--fantastic oysters, great fried clams, and irresistible fries in a bag (we had two orders!). The city-chic ambiance, dramatic space, farm-fresh offerings, and a huge craft cocktail bar make it a standout. The octopus carpaccio was a delightful surprise. Overall, a great dining experience!"
"I dropped by this place after walking around Assembly Row. The restaurant had a nice outdoor patio underneath the arch of the Partners building. I ordered the Ruth's Classics prix fixe meal for $59. I got the caesar salad as an app, steak and shrimp as the entree, and creamed spinach as the accompanying side. The caesar salad consisted of romaine lettuce, croutons, shaved parmesan cheese and caesar dressing. It was spot on and delicious. As always, the medium rare steak never disappoints. The 6 ounce filet was warm and buttery on a sizzling plate. The creamed spinach was great as well. For dessert, I got the bread pudding with raisins, whisky sauce and fresh strawberries. Thumbs up!"
"Great vibe and ambiance hereThe service was top notch!Oysters with caviar appetizer - 5/5Creme brulee in a freaking pineapple -5/5Salmon - 4.5/5$90 steak special - 3/5 i don't think the flavor and texture was there for the price"
"I was so excited to make a reservation here for my husband's birthday but didn't feel our experience was all that good even though I had high hopes for this evening.I had difficulty deciding between 3 or 4 stars because some things were good whereas others weren't. Here is a breakdown from the evening:Ambiance: If you follow me and know me, Ambiance is a HUGE factor when reviewing restaurants. You want the prettiest, sexiest, cleanest, and gorgeous decor when dining out, especially when it's a special occasion. I thought Vermilion Club hit all of these and was a stunning place overall. I was admiring everything from the bar to the tables/booth that we sat in and everything in between. Menu: There were a few menus that we got which I thought was a bit much and overwhelming. I like simple when it comes to going out. From memory, I believe there was one for food, one for bottle list+, one for dessert, and one for cocktails and BTG. Food: The menu looked amazing from what I saw so we both were excited to try it. We had GF rolls which were delish since lots of restaurants do not offer this. For the app, we shared their Chopped Salad which was good. The portion was a bit larger for 2 people but I loved the presentation. For entrees, I ordered the Ora King Salmon which was ok. The salmon itself was decent, but the sides could've been better and more flavorful. The portion was smaller! My husband ordered the NY Strip which was excellent. We both love Prime Steaks and they did an amazing job at cooking this to perfection. The sides were also fantastic: Polenta Romesco, and Ginger Mushrooms. We both enjoyed some high-end red wines BTG. We didn't have time for dessert but they sent over a nice gelato with a candle in it. Service: We started with one server, Dean but moved our seats to another table so we had a different server. Dean was awesome! He kept on checking in on us and making sure everything was perfect. I appreciated this and he was so fun to chat with! The other server we had was very shy and seemed to be nervous and didn't know the menu or some cocktails all that well. She spilled a bit of wine on the table when pouring me a sample. I did give her a suggestion and tried to help. We also felt the service was a bit slow and it was early enough that there were not a lot of people in the restaurant eating. Overall: Since this restaurant is new and like others said "working out the kinks" I still think it would be worth it to go and check it out. I know the bar is really beautiful to sit and have a drink and app or a full dinner. Hopefully, once they iron out everything this place will be the spot to eat this fall and winter. Cheers!"
"Honestly what you'd expect given the previous reviews and the fact that this is in a random hotel along Memorial Drive. The service was okay at best - the hostess was very inattentive and the servers weren't the most attentive. Our sushi roll and soups came out in a reasonable time which was nice. The ambiance felt relatively clean, however I will say thatrhe floor was sticky in the lobby of the hotel which you need to cross to get to the bathroom. Very strange. The chef was entertaining enough and did their best I think, but the show wasn't inspiring or anything. They had a normal hibachi show with shooting food in people's mouth and the onion fire which was overall not bad to see. The food that came out at the end wasn't spectacular either, just mediocre in flavor and portion. Overall, I went in with relatively low expectations and this place met them. Not a bad meal or experience, just not the greatest and there's likely better places to spend this amount of money."
"I would consider Abe and Louise, a boutique style steakhouse, being that they only have two locations; Boca Raton, Florida, and Boston, Massachusetts. I have been to both locations now and I must say I am very happy with the service, ambience, food, quality, differentiation of products. From my daughter's 19th birthday, she decided she wanted to go for a meal at a steakhouse specifically in downtown Boston we decided to come here after a so-so experience at the palm restaurant in Boston as well as a terrible meal at Smith and Wolinsky up in Burlington Massachusetts. I called the restaurant ahead of time to notify them of my daughter's birthday and to ask them if I could bring a dairy free cake as she has a sensitivity. I was told that that was absolutely fine and they do not charge for bringing in your own birthday celebration cake The food was out of this world, and I still have cravings for the brussels sprout sides, as well as the creamed spinach. As I write this, I'm also thinking about the large hash brown, which was also equally amazing. From the bread that was brought to the table to hitting the temperatures on the steaks and sitting right by the windows it was a wonderful dining experience. The only thing that I would suggest going forward is that they figure out a way to distinguish between flatwater classes and sparkling water glasses Because on three separate times, the buses came over to fill our cups with flatwater one in fact we had sparkling. One of the times we didn't catch them and they essentially ruined our water. We needed to have them fix this by giving us a new bottle of water. We will be back. It was a great meal."
"What a beautiful restaurant!I felt like I drove from New York, threw my stuff into my hotel room and ran to Mooo... (How many dots are there in the title?)Somehow I drove to Boston while they're still having a wicked winter in April. I'm cold and wet, I check in with the hostess stand and I want to get into a nice Bourbon Cocktail as soon as possible. First off, what is with these prices?! Everything is priced, I think even higher than New York City. An Iceberg Wedge is $23 bucks?? The funny part is, the place was packed out on a Wednesday night.I read the menu online so I know what I want to order, there are two Sirloin Steaks on the menu, grass fed and prime. I want to see what my waiter is going to say so I chill. Speaking of, there is no description of how the meat is sourced at Mooo. Is it USDA Prime beef? Is there an aging process? How are the steaks cooked? The website says Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano uses his culinary expertise to create classic, yet modern steakhouse dishes. Great! I still want to know about the steaks. A waiter comes to the table and drops off four hot Parker Rolls. Next, my waiter comes to the table. I order a glass of Rioja, a side of Broccolini and I said Sirloin Steak. Very good sir.$59 for both Sirloin steaks, I'm not sure what he told the kitchen but it would have been nice to know more about the steak cut.My wine? PerfectionThe Broccolini? It has charred bits on top that made this very cravable. Now add the Spicy Calabrian Chili & Garlic? Incredible chef'd up side dish. The Sirloin? Cooked to perfection. That's the great thing about a Sirloin, it's a nice big cut to fill your belly. There was also a Sirloin with au poivre, I wasn't in the mood to have something too peppery. The herb butter that came with the steak, I laid on the flavor! Very good. One of the Sirloins that was served to me, the chef cooked it just right. Overall, I had an enjoyable meal. After dinner, I'm shown a dessert menu. My hotel is close to The North End and Modern Pastry is calling me.Mooo...? I had a great meal but in all honesty, I would of liked to drink a beer at the bar and have a chef'd up Mooo.. Burger. Can you work on that Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano?"
"So my daughter and I were looking for a steak place in the area and came across here. I live in Boston my whole life, and I've never heard of this place, I've been in Arlington, and the Lord knows how many times and never even seen it. It is a little gem, and I'm glad I found it. Upon entering, you're greeted by a really nice hostess, then seated everyone is so polite and so kind. It has an old style rustic Steakhouse look, and I love that it's them in there, so it was exactly the atmosphere I was looking for. They have a pretty good menu, you can find something for everyone on there. From burgers to pasta, seafood, and steaks, they have a variety of things to pick from. Catherine was my server, and she suggested I get the Teriyaki steak tips because I was already considering the steak tips, and she was not wrong. I trusted her advice because she was such a great server and had that on his vibe. I got a side of baked potato and it was really good usually when you go to certain restaurants baked potatoes be so dry that's a question if it's even a real potato but not here it's so good. My daughter had a burger and she also liked it the only problem was there were no pickles which is very weird. My other dislike is I asked for a blended margarita it was very frothy and tasted so watery. Catherine didn't notice that I was drinking it and actually took it off my bill. I guess there are no complaints. All I thought about when I got home was I wish I had dessert but I was way too full, I can't remember the last time I went somewhere and actually finished all the food on my plate.. I was actually upset because I had one steak tip left, and I couldn't finish it, and I wanted it so bad. The prices are also unbelievable, Google the menu. They have a parking lot outside, so parking is no issue at all. All in all, I would definitely be going back here it might be a regular spot for me, at least until I try more of the food."
"I love this local gem! I've been here a few times and the service has been friendly and efficient every time. The food is tasty. I've come for breakfast, late lunch and dinner. Each time my friends truly enjoyed their food. I'll definitely be back often so I'll update with pictures because I keep forgetting to take pics before I devour my food. It's a cozy local restaurant with an easy vibe like everyone knows each other and they make you feel just as welcome. Ask for the outdoor seating out back. Nice spot for a sunset cocktail."
"Food: Crab Cakes ($24) - solid quality, nice that there were not any shell bits in there, roasted red pepper coulis and chipotle aioli sauce on the side was a nice combo of savory and spicy to complement the crab cakes, cucumber salad on the side was a refreshing way to complement the crab cakes as wellStuffed French Toast with raspberry preserves ($20)- pretty good, good amount of tasty raspberry preserves in there along with the mascarpone cheese, toast could've been a bit fluffier though, bacon on the side was normal but a bit too crispy for meAtmosphere: Classic American restaurant vibes with a bar area and decent amount of other table seating, pretty nice spaceService: Okay service speed, pretty friendly waiter, no wait for a weekend brunchOverall: Pretty good American brunch spot, slightly on the pricier side but not bad"
