One of my favorite Szechuan food place in the area!We decided to dine-in tonight and the ambiance was calm and not too crowded which we enjoyed. We ordered spicy cucumber and wonton in chili oil to start, soooo good and tasty! We then had the chicken and beef chili with some Szechuan dry-style eggplant! Divine and rich in flavors!! Highly recommend and prices are affordable!

Pretty food stuff here. Chengdu spicy chicken was great. It's a small place, 8 tables, with public parking around the corner. Menu has all the Chengdu usual suspects. Waitress spoke English, or faked it pretty good. Prices were average for 2023.They don't ask you what spice level you want, which is good. Just order and don't be a kitty cat. It's spicy but do you want to live forever?

I've been looking for a place to replace my beloved Mary Chung. One of our favorite Mary Chung dishes was Dun Dun Noodles, very spicy noodles with peanut sauce. When I saw "Dan Dan Noodles" on Sichuan Cuisine's menu, I thought this might be the place. The noodles were good - spicy - no peanut sauce. I added my own peanut sauce and they were perfect. Hot & Sour Soup was excellent. Peking Ravioli were a disappointment - flavorless, as was the accompanying ginger sauce. Not the restaurant's fault at all, but they use GrubHub for delivery - I put very specific instructions as to where to leave the order. 30 minutes after it should have arrived, my neighbor delivered it. It had been sitting on their porch for who knows how long in 15 degree weather. Everything was cold. All in all - this place is okay, but won't be the replacement for Mary Chung.

Came here right when they opened and the restaurant remained pretty empty the whole time I was there so we were able to choose where to sit! The food is around 12-25 for any of the average dishes and the portions are reasonable. The quality was really good! The beef and tripe in chili oil was my favorite, top 3 I've had. I would definitely come back again :)

I'm confused about the positive reviews. We came in, hot peppers all over the menu including on our chosen items, and the food was...completely bland. No spice at all. Boring, flat flavors in addition to the total lack of spice. Not sure what happened?

Pretty delicious - nothing too special but hits the spot if you are looking for good sichuan food. Definitely very heavy and I immediately wanted to take a nap after finishing the meal.Tried several dishes, and my favorite was the pork intestine in hot and sour noodle soup. A little hard to eat because the noodles are so long that they are hard to pull out of the soup... and then you have a bit of terror which trying to get the noodles out without splashing the noodle soup all over the table, yourself, your friend... Would probably come back if in the area.

Really impressed with the most recent offerings from this local Sichuan establishment. The fish stew with sour cabbage was a hit, a nice blend off Mala flavor, other spices, and broth. The flavor of the pickled veggies was focused and appealing.Something on special was the pork with dried bean curd and fresh bamboo shoots. The dish was well seasoned and the bamboo was particularly tender. The dried lotus slices in a Mala stir fry was excellent. It was nice to have crispy thin slices of lotus steeped in a rich and spicy Mala flavor. The appetizers were intriguing and delicious. The tendon flank and tripe slices were nicely flavored. There is a garlic richness that gently added to the dish. Also the slicing work on the green onions was very good. Finally the cellophane noodle dish with spicy sauce was really neat. I'd never had it before: it tasted a bit like gelatin. It really works well as a cold appetizer. In general I'd tone down the salt levels, especially of the main courses. Otherwise it was quite the meal!

That bacon cauliflower in chili oil though!! This place was a nice scrumptious surprise! My bf and I were craving Chinese food and dined here on a Sunday night. The restaurant located in Watertown square is nice and cozy with plenty of small tables. The nice waitress gave us time to look through their lengthy menu. It was really hard to decide since there are so many options but we finally decided on their pork in sweet soy sauce, scallion pancakes with beef their cauliflower and fried rice. The food came out nice and hot and packed with tons of flavor! Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection! To our surprise the cauliflower had big chunks of bacon and it was bathed in chili oil! YUM! The pork in soy sauce was also very good. The pork was tender and flavorful and the chunks of cucumber tasted fresh and were nice and crunchy. The scallion pancakes almost stole the spotlight from the cauliflower because the actual pancake dough tasted like a crunchy fried wonton! Yes! I love wontons! The portions are generous which was nice because we got to take lots of leftovers home! We will definitely be back!

88 Reviews, what a Lucky Number! And in terms of things to order from this restaurant, all the Appetizers and Entres are superb. I've gotten the Lunch Menu when I worked in the area in the past, and the portions are more than enough for dinner as well. All the stir fries have an even saute, and while they offer American Style Chinese food, the authentic cuisine is a treat to be savored. The Orange Chicken is amazing btw. They leave dried orange rinds in the batter sauce to give it an extra citrusy kick. Skip the Allston FOB over priced rip-offs. I don't think there are any other chinese restaurants that make food so consistently good.
