Just wanted to grab something tasty for lunch.I've been to Sei Bar many times for their countless dine in options, this was my first take out ever and I was not disappointed!The food was absolutely delish!!! Service was very friendly and wait time was very quick; especially given the freshness of the food!For $11 and some change I got my delicious combo with an equally delicious miso soup!!!Easy parking, friendly staff, amazing lunch, you can't go wrong!

Picked up from this place for dinner and it was alright. We also drive by this place every week but never really noticed it until today and decided to give it a try since we're in a sushi mood. We got sushi duh and they're ok, no complaints except for the spicy scallop makis (they tasted a lil odd). We gave this place a 4/5 because 1. their spicy chicken wings aint spicy, it's saucey and sweet and we didn't know how to feel. 2. the spicy avocado salad which I was excited for, had more cucumbers than anything else (I was craving imitation crabmeat:( ) and yea it's a place that doesn't really focus on serving sushi & just Japanese cuisine. They also offer Chinese and Thai and Pan Asian dishes so next time, when we're in the mood for solidly sushi, we'd try another place.

A pretty unique menu with some dishes I haven't seen anywhere else among the many dozens of Chinese and Japanese restaurants that I've attended throughout my adult life. The Beef Kushiyaki and basil fried rice for example are fantastic, and they have a really good selection of sushi as well.The service is excellent, with one waitress in particular who my girlfriend and I loved to converse with during our visits there when I lived in Medford a number of years ago now. The atmosphere is pretty classy but also relaxed, and the layout is interesting with the bar and wall in the center; the main dining areas are kind of split by the bar.

Based on the reviews this place seems to be hit or miss. Our regular Chinese restaurant is closed on Mondays so we decided to give Sei Bar a try ( we love the Everett location but it's too far for takeout). Portions are smaller than other places, but the food we got more than made up for it. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The pork fried rice really highlighted the pride and effort they take in their food, it was loaded with additional veggies. Chicken wings were a good size, well seasoned and well fried. The boneless ribs were tasty but too fatty for me, definitely need to trim off more of the fat but others may like that. Overall a decent option with good food and fast service. 3 stars instead of 4 because it's on the pricier side for takeout.

Stopped in for a quick lunch yesterday. I ordered Miso soup. Soup arrives cold. I say can you heat this up for me its cold. The waitress looked at me like I was insane. She takes the soup back to the kitchen and 5 minutes later returns with the soup and its the same temp. I taste it and i said its still cold but eat it anyway. Well needless to say I didn't order anything else. Fast forward 30 minutes now I'm on the toilet with massive diarrhea..I can't prove it, but I'm certain the put something in my soup to cause this. I will never go to any of the multiple restaurants affiliated this this location.. Waitress was rude af to boot.

Food has gone downhill, commercialized, prices have skyrocketed and portion have shrunk. Always the regular drinkers at bar that you have to deal with who, depends on hour are sometimes annoying!

Hot and sour soup was waaaay too spicy! I called to complain and they told me literally that it's always best to make it LAVA spicy hot. I know the customer is not always correct however they should adjust. Also their hours of operation are always fluctuating- won't stay open much past nine pm - hopefully they can rectify this situation

Over the years we have ordered from Sei Bar Medford less and less frequently. In general the sushi and the cold sesame noodles were the only consistently good food. Last Sunday night, in an effort to support local business, we ordered some sushi, some cold sesame noodles, and somechicken broccoli for the kiddo. The food was less than mediocre. Sushi wasn't fresh and was seemingly hacked apart w a butter knife. But the kicker came when we found a cockroach in my daughters bowl of chicken broccoli. A COCKROACH. I called and they said they would refund, but then they didn't and I had to have GrubHub get in touch with them to process the refund. Wouldn't have ordered again based just on the food, but with the roach I feel (sadly) compelled to write a review.

I understand inflation, but businesses are not the only ones hurting. People also work hard for their money and so the expectations are still high. If you go up on prices but still deliver great quality food, I'm okay with paying the extra bucks. But come on! I am disappointed at the food quality that Seibar is providing. Their prices are up and their Ingredients are less. A huge disappointment. I spend about $25.00 on a Medford roll and gyoza. The roll was skimpy and full of tempura crumbs just a few strings of crab meat. The gyoza was the same quality as a super market. I should have learned from the last time I ordered, but I had faith today the food was going to be excellent like it used to be.

new online system has too many quirks, they don't give proper descriptions of all entrees and they don't send soy sauce or utensils. ordered a dish called mango. I added chicken. they sent mango with chicken and vegetables. Nowhere in the description said vegetables were in the dish. Flavor is so blan with vegetable! Called to ask to remake dish and was told that its our fault because we need to be very specific when we order. no problem we are long time customers and have spent thousands of dollars at Sei Bar. they just lost our busines.
