#5 (Spicy Black Sesame, with Extra Noodles - Left), & #1 (Shoyu - Right). Delicious! Also, nice bowls!

It was a false promotion to call this seafood ramen when there was no seafood in it. Very disappointed.

Sooo, I ate at Sapporo today. (and just wanna make clear I'm not trying to bash them in any way) They've updated their menu which looks better. I decided to try the spicy ramen today, which was not spicy at all (to me). The bowl was $17 which I do not find worthy the price. The corn seemed kind of weird as far as texture. The seaweed in it was a very dried up and different tasting seaweed than what I've had in ramen's. Ganko Ittetsu in Brookline charges $16 for their spicy ramen (the Gankara Miso) which pretty much has all the same ingredients (Ganko removed corn from the soup some months back), and their broth is made more authentically. Their ingredients taste more fresh and is served in a bit of a bigger size. Sapporo's soup did the job of feeding me, but I wouldn't say the soup was "bomb" per-se. The cashier is always nice & their service fast. I guess I was just having a little bit of high hopes for the ramen. It wasn't bad at all.

Great location in Central Cambridge with a great variety of options. Very expensive though. Got an Unagi Don for $18 which is very steep. Tasted really good but not worth the price. You might as well just buy the eel and rice inside at H Mart. The people were nice and it came out relatively quick so it was not a bad experience. Wish I spent the $18 on other food though.

Surprisingly bad compared to the Sapporo Ramen near Porter Square. Similarly overpriced, but outrageously bland/tasteless broth---so tasteless that I seriously wondered whether I had the coronavirus because one of its most well known symptoms is the loss of taste sensation! I had the miso ramen, and my friend had the shoyu ramen. The broths were differently colored, but equally tasteless. I mean, you can't even taste any SALT, let alone anything else! FFS, I've had better broth using the MSG-bomb spice packets that come with instant ramen noodles! No, this is not an exaggeration...we were both astounded at how they managed to make a normal LOOKING broth that tasted like, well, TEPID WATER.The only good thing about this place is that service was fairly fast, so we got our food within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Otherwise, it's the usual ramen-in-America thing: you get price gouged ($15 for a handful of noodles and two lousy 2 x 2" slices of pork about 1/8" thick) for very little food, just attractively presented. I guess this Sapporo Ramen location in particular knows they can get away with this joke because they live off the foot traffic of folks shopping at the H-Mart (hideously overpriced as well), i.e. clueless tourists and college students. Never again!

I love the ramen here. It's cheap, convenient and good. I usually order the miso ramen ($13) and it fills me up! There's plenty of seating area (max 30 minutes) and it's in the same building as hmart. They also have sushi for about $10-15. I've come here during different times of the day and week, and there's always enough tables. The food is prepared very quickly and the employees are nice. Sapporo is easily accessible by the red line, but parking may be difficult as central square is often busy. Overall rating: 9/10

This place has gotten worse over time. Food is not good and price is high for a bowl of thin, broth whose only flavor note is salt-- with almost no black sesame oil whatsoever. No scallions, no egg, no square of seaweed. There's just no pride of ownership or love in the food. Go into Hmart and buy a Styrofoam bowl of instant noodles and you'll get a similar experience.

It's food-court sushi and you can't expect much. The fish isn't very fresh, but it tastes okay. The price is a bit high for what it is.6 pieces of fish with a salmon roll came out to $15. This is comparable pricing to a sit-down restaurant.

We came here after Muku Ramen was unexpectedly closed, and were pleasantly surprised by this food-court Sushi/Ramen/Curry stand... I got the #1 - Shoyu, which came with 2 pieces of pork and lovely ramen - very tasty. My dining companion got the #5 - Tantanmen Spicy Black Sesame (which came with a little ground pork) & extra noodles, which was a good idea. I do recommend extra noodles, for whatever you order. The noodles were surprisingly springy and very well cooked, just not a lot of it.My Shoyu broth was particularly tasty and drinkable to the end. The spicy black sesame broth was tasty with noodles, but a bit too intense drink alone. Both were very salty (in a good way), but needed to buy some water to go with it.Fast service, they show you the order on the screen before you pay, to make sure they got it right. The bowls were nice and heavy clay (donabe), which made it feel nice & homey, despite the flimsy plastic soup spoon and break-apart chopsticks). Do Recommend, esp the #1, with extra noodles. :D

Left work early so I could grab a quick dinner before having to sit in a chair getting tattooed across the street. Popped into the Cambridge H-mart and opted to get a bowl of ramen because I can't pass up a good noodle ... except this noodle was more just like 'eh.'I gave Sapporo the benefit of the doubt and got the Black Sesame Tan Tan ramen but ultimately the bowl I got was VERY oily (you can see the film/layer in the photo) and just uber salty. I still wolfed the bowl down and say left satisfied but with noodle scene bursting in Boston, Sapporo doesn't hold a candle to its competition.

I just ordered a Miso Ramen pickup from this place. There are hairs in the soup! Tried to contact them but their phone was never picked up and the voice mailbox is full!
