Roxy's Gourmet Grilled Cheese

Best truffle fries in town. Always thin and ultra crispy.The grilled cheese is always great. Bread is never soggy and always super buttery. Cheese is very flavorful too.

I didn't even order a grilled cheese sandwich, as I had the chicken sandwich. However, looking at their menu, there are plenty of options if you want grilled cheese. I saw the gooey cheese from my kid's sandwiches and its clear the cheese is stringy and stretchy. My chicken sandwich was just ok, and the others said the sandwiches were "fine" as well. No one raved about their food and no one complained either. We made several of the sandwiches combos and it came with fries and drinks. I like that the drinks were canned/bottled and not fountain drinks. Parking will be difficult in allston, so give yourself extra time to find a parking spot. The tables are sticky...but I was given a warning. They said its because of the wax layer being stripped off..and they said its not dirty. Still, I wished they'd reapply wax or just get new ones. I can't imagine customers would be comfortable resting their bare hands/arms on these tables. There are a couple of old school pinball tables inside, and the vibe was pretty him. One of the guys was very focused on modifying the spotify playlist continuously. Pricing is a great value here. Staff were friendly. If you're looking for grilled cheese sandwiches in Allston, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better option than Roxy's.

A friend of mine recommended this place during my visit to Boston. I didn't expect much because I am not a grilled cheese person, but I was pleasantly surprised. We added patties to our grilled cheeses and it was great. I liked how the bread was toasted and crispy, and the addition of the patty made it very filling. Ours wasn't too greasy, like other reviewers.I liked the sandwich I got, the Honey Hot Bacon. And I liked the avocado in my friend's sandwich. Highly recommend getting the truffle fries!

I accidentally went to the wrong Roxy's (I blame Matt from WBCN for this!) location but it ended up still being a great experience.Though this location does not have the speakeasy pinball it does have grilled cheese sandwiches and incredibly nice and hardworking staff. They have a small amount of indoor seating and they also offer takeout.Please come visit this location, it deserves just as much business as its fancy Cambridge location.

Who can say no to a grilled cheese? It's especially true if you're at Roxy's.I've been here a bunch of times and while I've tried a few different dishes, I definitely have favorites. "THE ALLSTON"sandwich with herbed goat cheese, fig jam, caramelized onions, and arugula is my absolute favorite. The combination of ingredients gives it a unique taste. And these aren't ingredients that I normally keep handy at home, so it's always a special treat for me. I've had the green meunster (sans the bacon) and it's good. When I get the grilled cheese, there's always a side of tomato soup. They make a fine soup! Just the right texture for dipping that gooey grilled cheese. I've had their truffle fries too but I'm realizing that I may not be a fan of truffle flavor so I won't comment much on it except to say that those fries were definitely crispy.Coming to their hidden gem: the fried chicken sandwich. This is a newer addition to their menu and they do it well. So well that you won't be disappointed if you drive out of your way to get this. "THE DOUBLE FRIED", as they call it, has buttermilk brined, twice fried chicken, with lettuce, grillo's pickles, house made ranch, and mike's hot honey. Wow! The portion is huge but the flavors leave you wanting more. Man, that fried chicken stayed crispy even though we did takeout and probably ate it 30 mins to an hour after it was made.Love Roxy's and I'm glad they have this location open in Allston!

DELICIOUS food.. but the workers have repeatedly been rude. Otherwise would be 5 stars.

Hot honey grilled cheese is delicious!! Either from the brick and mortar store on Mass Ave in Cambridge or their food truck, best grilled cheese in the Boston area.

Staff was nice but the table was sticky. Grill cheese with tomato was okay. Burger fell apart and was a mess. staff was cleaning the grease vent above the grill. I don't know! Maybe wait till after serving customers. Place need a-little work!

Do NOT order delivery from this restaurant! This is the third consecutive time ordering from the Allston location that our order has been delivered missing a burger. Each time we call to report the issue the staff blames it on ChowNow, but is unwilling to deliver the missing item. Don't get me wrong, the burgers are good, but the restaurant is failing on the service front. @Roxy's take responsibility for the product you're selling and quit blaming the delivery service.

food was decent i had the hot honey bacon grilled cheese with a side of fries and i would have it again. The service was excellent and it was a very nice place to eat at.
