Pho Hoa Restaurant

This review is mainly for the pho! Overall, it was pretty good. My SO got his usual pho tai and I got my usual pho dac biet. First, the meats and proteins were excellent quality. The tendon in particular was super tender, A+. The beef cuts were delicate. However the broth itself was a bit bland in my opinion, improved with the addition of some hoisin sauce. The regular portion size should be more than enough for most people (I can eat a lot and I was stuffed). I would say that Pho Le (their neighbor down the block) had better broth but Pho Hoa had better meat and toppings. We tried their spring roll sampler and a stir fry in addition to the pho; no complaints with either.

Pho Hoa has so many classic Vietnamese dishes that I'll need to come back and try more. I came on a Saturday around lunchtime and was seated right away. It's a large space that can accommodate all kinds of groups. I got the House Special Vermicelli Bowl and a Thai Iced Tea. The food was amazing and tasted fresh. There were so many great flavors mixed together, that I ended up eating almost the whole thing.

Their Pho and rice plates are great and a perfect meal to have on a cold day. Parking is street only but we had no issues when we came here on a Sunday late afternoon!Items we ordered (as of 2/2024)- #46 Pho Noodle Soup w/ Eye Round Steak, Brisket, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon, & Tripe (Regular size) - $13.95 - Great flavor to the broth and noodles were cooked perfectly. Great portion size for the regular!- #6 Spring Roll Tasting - $7.95 - If you're unsure which spring roll to get then go for this one! (My favorite was the pork meatball springroll). - #100 House special rice plate - $15.95 - This plate is huge! The flavors of everything was great. I do wish the pork was a bit thicker but it still had plenty of delicious fatty goodness to it! I'd get this one again.

I got the family style Wok Seared Pepper Steak. It was great. The points of feedback is that there may have been a little too much cornstarch in the sauce so it was a little goopy but still delicious, and there is less beef in the dish than before/for the price. I have been coming here since childhood and it's always a lovely experience. Nice service, it was busy so I understand it being a tad slow. I enjoy the ambiance and design of the restaurant. It's a nice place to eat. I'd recommend!

Was a little disappointed this time around. The sinh to bo was good as always but the soups were lacking serious flavor, especially the bun bo hue. I've been going to Pho Hoa since I was little and i think their quality has gone down. However, the Beef 7 Courses was always good when I had it or their rice dishes. Might be better off getting those rather than the soup dishes

Item 102. grilled pork, juvenile pork skin, and meat loaf rice plate for $13.95.I thought I ordered the wrong item as there was no pork chop inside. Upon looking at the order slip, the dish name included pork chop so I called the restaurant up. They pulled up the order number and said the cashier put in no pork chop on the side note. They told me not to worry because they added more of the other 2 items so the price was justified even though there was no pork chop. A pork chop rice plate without pork chop ?! The cashier should have confirmed with me before she put that note in. The person who picked up the phone apologized for getting my order wrong but there was nothing he could do about it. I think he could have offered to redo the order for me because of the cashier mistake. I wanted to eat what I ordered. I was not happy for his argument of not providing any form of compensation because they already justified how much they charged me with more of the other items.

I ordered the vegetarian pho because the server confirmed it was a vegetable stock without any animal products in it. It certainly was vegan, but it was not vegetable stock. They gave me salt water as my "broth." Salt water. Worst pho I've ever had.

Came here looking for a hangover cure. We were pleased to find plenty of tables open as they weren't very busy on a Friday morning. As a result, we got seated right away by the friendly hostess. I got their nitro coconut shake which was creamy and sweet. Their pho was only okay as it lacked a depth of flavor and cattiness to it. The rest of the staff were beyond nice and helpful even so. Because of this, I may or may not come again to try other items from their menu or perhaps if this was an off day for them.
